Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 9/7/11Terminal 5 - New York Rating: 1 out of 5 Really really bad ugly sound quality
by Leviatan on 9/7/11Terminal 5 - New YorkI could not distinguish any difference between songs and the sound quality was horrible.
Rating: 1 out of 5by Anonymous on 9/7/11Terminal 5 - New York songs do not play well in concert, due to subtleness disappearing. Comes down to rythm which gets boring after a while. Manu Chao is energetic but there is no show to speak of. Crowd was very "trashy" on main floor. Love the singer, but poor overall experience.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Manu Chao es el mas macho
by DonJuanQuixote on 9/7/11Terminal 5 - New YorkThis guy and his band are incredible and so full of energy. It is truly infectious and you never want to stop singing, dancing and clapping. Manu and his band genuinely seemed to relish every minute of it and the crowd returned the love tenfold. It was a truly great and memorable show and experience. I hope the other cities on the tour show him half as much love as we did.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Manu Chao Blew it off the roof
by Cano72 on 9/7/11Terminal 5 - New YorkBest show I've been to in years. Pure excitement , Powwerful energy between artist and audience
Rating: 5 out of 5 wonderful show and wonderful band
by LAnNYinternationast on 9/7/11Terminal 5 - NYCThe first time I heard Manu Chao some years back, I was transfixed and hooked. The intelligence, vivacity, appreciation and integration of different languages, cultures, experiences, psychological states, political conditions -- the multilayered nature of his music and lyrics, poetry really, was riveting. His live shows in bigger venues don't do justice to the richness that comes across in some of his recordings and performance in smaller venues, but his and his group members' wonderful heartful spirit does. I cannot help but give them a 5 star rating, they deserve it. While I also wish that Manu made room for some of his other sides. I've seen interviews where he mentioned that big venues demand a more rockous (spelling?) performance, but I believe that his audiences would welcome more of his range. It was such a treat to see him and his band, to be present. More, more.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Manu Chao puts on an incredible show!
by DevinD on 9/7/11Terminal 5 - New YorkFrom the first moment of the show, Gogol Bordello rocked the entire crowd, and it was a great surprise to get to see them play live. Then, Manu Chao came out and the place exploded. The entire show was energetic and magnificent. Then he played maybe three or four encores.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Manu Chao in Philly - An amazing artist!
by ManuO on 9/7/11Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - PhiladelphiaManu Chao is one of those artists that has been around for a long time and that has almost a cult-like following. He is an extraordinary artist that brings a lot of energy to stage and his performances. His songs carry messages for the whole world to wake up and look around you. He wants you enjoy life and to be socially responsible. A lot of people have died looking for a better life and no one cares. Some of his songs, like "El Desaparecido" really make us think about the struggles that a lot of human beings go through. Not just between the US and Mexico, but the migration from Africa into Europe. This is human nature, to migrate, to look for a better life. People can follow rules, but there are others that put up barriers that just make no sense. If you have never listen to him, look him up. If you don't speak Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, it's okay. Just listen to the beat, the beat of the song, song, buzzing in your head..." dance, enjoy, live!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Manu Chao is amazing
by Anonymous on 9/7/11Terminal 5 - New YorkI've been to hundreds of concerts in my life, but this was by far the best. My spot on the balcony was awesome; the energy was awesome; the music was awesome. People dancing, cheering, singing along. It was unbeatable. Everything coalesced into one perfect event! A two hour set sealed the deal!

Rating: 5 out of 5 MANU WAS AMAZING!!!
by Enjolras on 9/6/11Terminal 5 - New YorkThere are great musicians, and then there's Manu Chao! He's a true global superstar! No other musician I've seen can inspire such emotion and feeling in an audience. Even concerts that are recorded on video will make you wish you were right there dancing, jumping, screaming and singing along with everybody else present. His songs are true classics and it was so nice to see him and his musicians so energetic and full of life! I feel honored to have been able to see him live! Manu Chao needs to come back to New York!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 Everything I thought it would be & MORE
by Mila1028 on 9/6/11Terminal 5 - New YorkI had a WONDERFUL time at this concert. No crazy lines, what a nice crowd, but I think that's attributed to the culture of people that enjoy Manu Chao. The venue was great, it was easy to get a drink at any bar. Bathrooms were very clean and always accessible. One of the most fun concerts I've ever been to!
Rating: 3 out of 5 Manu Chao -- well only half of it
by Anonymous on 9/6/11Terminal 5 - New YorkBand showed up as a four-piece (Bass, Guitar, Drums, and Manu). Without the horn section, that meant a bunch of songs could not be played. Maybe Manu is offically touring as a stripped down band these days. If he is, it's very difficult to get any straight scoop. On another note, they played for barely an hour, until they left the stage for people to scream "¡Otra!" (Encore) Seemed a bit rich to me to only play about 1:30 to 1:45, and yet break it up into two or three encores.
Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 9/6/11Terminal 5 - New York Manu Chao is an extraordinary performer who touched each and every individual in his audience. This was one of the best concerts I have ever experienced.
