    Manchester Orchestra rocked Water Street!

by BrandonTheCrayon on 3/27/10Water Street Music Hall - Rochester

The band was spot on in their choice of a setlist. They played a good portion of songs from Mean Everything to Nothing, and chose some of the best songs from Like a Virgin Losing a Child. They simply rocked the venue for a solid hour and a half. Andy (lead singer) made a comment about Rochester being a great city for them. They were shocked at how insane people were going for their performance, since they've only played here once before. They seemed genuinely appreciative about how excited everyone was for them to be there. It was just a great night of music, and I can't wait for them to release another record at the end of this year and tour again.

    Meh

by 3point14 on 3/27/10Water Street Music Hall - Rochester

Definitely disappointed with this show. Had a great show going until they killed it with several songs filled with soft, slow verses. I generally like the bands music but it doesn't translate to the stage. Crowd was often louder than the band... not for lack of volume but for lack of music.

    Manchester rocked

by JoeyManchester on 3/27/10Water Street Music Hall - Rochester

Manchester Orchestra Is a very awesome studio band and for about a year now I've been wanting to see them live... Fianlly making their second appearance in rochester in their excistance and Adam clearly pointed out after the end of 100 Dollars, It was an all around good time... The band had fun on the stage and were all in sync with each other. My only complaint about the show is I wish they played a few more up beat songs from their first album, "Like a virgin Losing a child". Some examples would be "The Neighborhood is Bleeding" or "Alice and Interiors". Altogether though, I was still impressed by their preformance and I would love to see them again. Very good band, Keep up the good work guys.

Manchester Orchestra tore down the house!!

by DanS21 on 3/27/10Water Street Music Hall - Rochester

Too. Bloody. Good. Just an amazing time! Manchester played their A-game, all of the opening acts were talented, fiery, and alive, security kept everything in check but let us "show-goers" have a great time too!! If one word summed up my experience it would have to be "Phenomenal"! If all Manchester Orch shows are that amazing I would recommend them to anyone!

Biffy was great...but not for long enough.

by DrDucks on 3/26/10Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

We went to this show for Biffy Clyro. They don't come to America very often, so it felt like it would be worth the 300 mile drive to Minneapolis. Well...it wasn't. Biffy only played for 25 minutes, which was incredibly disappointing, although i have to say it was a good 25 minutes. They have a lot of energy and presence on stage and i'm very happy to have finally seen them. However, if we'd known they were only playing seven songs, we'd have stayed home. Unfortunately we missed the first band, whose name i can't even remember now, the Features didn't interest us at all, and the Manchester Orchestra...well, they rocked for about 25 minutes, but played a further 45 minutes after that...

    Biffy Clyro was killer

by Anonymous on 3/25/10Saint Andrews Hall - Detroit

Showed up a little late so I only got to see a little of O'Brother but they sounded pretty cool, then Biffy Clyro got on stage and killed it!!!! Their live performance was the best show I've been to. The Features were very different and I am now a big fan, and look forward to seeing them again. Manchester allthough was the featured band I couldn't get into. So i went to the show for all of the openers. MON THE BIFFY!

Manchester Orchestra never ceases to put on an amazing live show. The Features were a great opening act and I was pleasantly surprised. Manchester played a great mix of old and new songs. I definitely recommend this show to anyone at any age.

    Manchester Orch

by Anonymous on 3/25/10Saint Andrews Hall - Detroit

The show was excellent right up until the end when they walked off the stage and left. They needed an encore. It turned a great show into a bummer.

catch them at a club while you still can!

    by sme327 on 3/24/10metro - chicago

from the opening guitar riffs (interrupted by screams of excitement from the men in the crowd) to the soothing close of "i can feel a hot one" (also interrupted by screams of excitement from the men in the crowd), manchester orchestra played with a fierceness and emotion that was intense yet tranquil... the lead singer seemingly pouring his heart and emotion into every song he sings. a few songs into their set, the band sang praises to the crowd, thanking them for selling out the nite's show--then continued to play songs that the sold out crowd at the metro danced and swayed to. they played a few songs off of each of their two albums, and debuted a new track that they'll be recording this summer for their next album. the band's energy and stage presence was almost too much for the metro; i would be shocked to see them play a club this small in the future.

    Manchester Great! Features Great!

by Anonymous on 3/21/10Beaumont Club - Kansas City

Manchester Orchestera did a great job. For $13, the Features, O'Brother and Biffy Clyro played for a total of 4 hours. Only snag was minor charge ($2) that was charged by Beaumont Club. Never heard of that.

I didn't expect any less from Manchester.

by Logpet on 3/21/10Beaumont Club - Kansas City

Manchester Orchestra and The Features (band that played right before Manchester) rocked the Beaumont Club so hard we all forgot the weather outside was going to make for a treacherous ride home.

Manchester Orchestra, where have you been?

by DeeHunt on 3/21/10Showbox at the Market - Seattle

First off was O'brother which I'm quiet enjoying listening to now because I bought their cd at the show. O'brother's sound was muddled and too loud for the most part but some excellent sounds got through and made me want to buy their cd and see if I like them recorded. Then there was the second band which had some good sounds but overall was just too loud and muddled. So I didn't get their cd. The third band was The Features, and they had some good sounds so I bought their cd and really haven't listened too it much so can't say much. Their sound was clearer than the second and first band but still was muddled. As always Manchester Orchestra had the clearest sound. You could hear about 85% of the vocals and all the instruments. They were also the clearest playing in Portland Oregon with Brand New and The Builders and The Butchers. Manchester Orchestra didn't talk much too the viewers as much as in Portland. I mean, yeah we came to listen to the music but a little conversation is nice too. They played all my favorite songs of theirs from their two released cds. There is a an earlier (first cd?) cd that has some good songs too if you can find it. Manchester Orchestra also didn't get the crowd into it much, as in they didn't try to get us into it more. I think there was once when they let us sing the chorus instead of themselves. But that's about it for negative. Everything was good. What can you say about a favorite band of yours anyway? Also the negative is not exactly like it was that horrible that they didn't have a us clapping or telling us what their songs meant. Just means they didn't do it and they could of. If they come to Seattle again I'm going. If they are anywhere near I'm going. First time I went to see them I took a vacation in Portland to see them and Brand New. If the show was just O'Brother starting out and then Manchester Orchestra or just Manchester Orchestra I probably would give it an amazing. The other bands muddle it. =p I would recommend it to a friend, heck I took one and his wife along. I would take my other friend but I don't think he likes their music as much. Unlike Portland they played some of their older songs. I think they may of played Wolves At Night but that was it in Portland. They did play NEW music, YES!!!!!! As in a new cd to buy hopefully soon!!!!! YES!!!!!! Forget it, I'm changing my rating to Amazing. I went to the Emerald City Comicon that same day, so I did make quiet the effort to go see Manchester Orchestra again. I thought maybe not and just do the con but no way am I going to miss Manchester Orchestra.

    Manchester Orchestra just ok

by Mmarie on 3/20/10Beaumont Club - Kansas City

They sounded good and played all the songs from the Mean Everything to Nothing album. But they put a bunch of slow songs in a row and the crowd got a little bored. And the Beaumont Club was really loud the whole time and we couldn't understand them when they talked.

It was a great show, but I was too drunk to remember the details
