MAJID JORDAN IN CONCERT:
Pop duo Majid Jordan dropped their self-titled debut album in early 2016 to critical and commercial success, cracking the Top 10 on the R&B charts before kicking off their first-ever tour. The Drake protégés have certainly gotten a boost from their relationship with Drizzy, but they hardly needed it – their minimal yet soulful sound stands on its own, drawing listeners in with catchy hooks, slick beats, and painstaking attention to sonic detail. During their first round on the road the pair impressed fans with serious swagger and slayed stages big and small with the one-two punch of Majid Al Maskati's sensual croon and Jordan Ullman's cutting-edge production skills. Drake has an eye for talent, and ticket buyers lucky enough to catch Majid Jordan live will have no trouble seeing why he took them under his wing.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman met in the early '00s while they were studying at the University of Toronto. After bonding over music they started working together in Ullman's dorm room studio, and things instantly clicked. The pair released a mixtape under the moniker Good People, and within 24 hours they had been contacted by Drake's people. After joining the rapper's then-fledgling OVO Sound label the pair co-produced Drake's 2013 chart-topper "Hold On, We're Going Home," and in 2014 they made their debut as Majid Jordan with the OVO-released EP A Place Like This. They followed up with the single "My Love," a collaboration with Drake, and in 2016 they cracked the Top 20 on both the R&B and Hip Hop charts with their self-titled debut album. The record's success drew them out for their first tour, and they've been killing it with next-level performances ever since.

Even though I was farther down waiting in line than I'd like to be, I still got a spot right up front. The music is even more amazing performed live; Majid and Jordan make for a perfect duo.

You had to stand so I kinda was expecting to be trampled on because I'm a short person, but it wasn't like that AT ALL! People in Montreal (and in Canada in general) are sooo nice and it was such a great time.

Despite the sometimes chaotic nature of a concert, I always find myself at peace at Majid Jordan. They keep their performance spectacle at a minimum and focus on the music and the feeling. I felt it. I can't wait to see them again.

In my Apple Music they are categorized as pop but it's kind of electric and dance. Kind of different and that's what I love and the group are hot lol. They sound exactly like they do on cd and it's pretty sick. They have cool background lights which makes the music come to life. I never like every song in a album but I love literally everyone of their songs. PLUS YOU GET A FREE ALBUM WHEN YOU BUY A TICKET!!
