I've Been To Magic Mike Live in Vegas 40 Times...
by Angela on 10/25/19First of all, after the first time I ever saw this show (and solo too) the first words that I had said to the men during the M&G were “Wow, I’m so coming back!” And eventually, I did. About 40 more times to be exact. And in between, brought best friends, newbies, and met amazing ladies sitting around me at the shows. I’ve been told by many that this show had also helped them become more open and comfortable in self-confidence and sexuality. *SPOILERS AHEAD* From the Candy Shop to Wet Dream to Air Seduction, or Shane Bruce showing Mike how to be a professional, to Sebastian Gonzalez showing that his Latin hips don’t lie, to David Terry singing to us how much he’s lost without us—this show can truly leave the audience in awe. However, there’s always room for improvement. For instance, the new script with the new female lead MC, Jordan Burnett, is a bit over-the-top or at moments, cringey. I wish that after the former female lead MC, Lyndsay Hailey, left, they would’ve made Lyndsay’s understudy, Chelsea Reid, the new main female MC. The new male MC, Jesse Highley, has very much improved every time I see the show. Liinda Garisto, the mermaid, is perfect as always for every Wet Dream scene. Ryan Carlson is an amazing main Mike, truly the role is fit for him. But knowing how intense being Mike is almost every night, I hope he alternates more with Jeremy Denzel and a new Mike, Patrick Packing, for a few of the other nights throughout the week too. Other than that, Jeremy and Patrick are also amazing Mikes. Very excited to see Shane Bruce play the Mike role as well! The rest of the men in the show, OG and new, collectively do an amazing job taking care of the ladies (and some gentlemen) all throughout the room, whether you have a front couch seat or a lonely seat in the back section, they will make you feel loved and wanted! And if anything may feel like too much, no worries, the safe-word is “unicorn.” A concerning distraction though that I’ve noticed during the show are the drink servers, and I’ve heard many people complain about this too. The place is a tight fit, so the servers squeezing in everyone’s space and shining the flashlight while charging people during the show at the oddest times is definitely something they could improve on. Perhaps serving and billing during the 15 minutes before the show starts since on the ticket it states that we must be seated by then. Ushers, security guards, clean-up crew, photographers, sound booth, and the ticket booth sellers all do an amazing job also. They may be behind the scenes but their work definitely matters! Finally, don’t forget to stop by The Pleasure Bar before you leave after the show. The wide selection of merchandise and goodies will give you a good memory of the breathtaking time you had there. That being said, I’m excited for the new venue to open up in Sahara Las Vegas in the Spring of 2020 and hopefully, they will improve in certain aspects and continue to be perfect in all the others. Thank you for the past 2 years and an amazing 40 shows, here’s to many more! ✨
