My family was looking for something different to do during our recent Monterey getaway, and I stumbled across this show within walking distance of our hotel. We like magic (we're frequent visitors to the Magic Castle in Hollywood, like to watch Penn & Teller: Fool Us, etc.), so decided to take a chance.
The theater is nicely laid out and I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. We sprung for VIP tickets (an extra ten bucks each) which put us in the back but gave us round tables to hold the drinks that they conveniently sell in the lobby.
The show itself was pretty standard--I had set myself up for the kind of show you'd see on a cruise ship and I wasn't wrong. Kalin & Jinger have the personality and the skills for stage magic, and Kalin performed some impressive sleight of hand tricks. Kalin's mentalism, and the finale "cutting a woman in half" were less good, but the most important thing is that my kids had a good time.
In summary, I think the show was worth the price and I'm glad we did it.
