About

Building on the sharpened songwriting and singularly honed-in sounds she'd established on PARANOIA, Maggie spent a year building the foundation of her debut studio album, SUCKERPUNCH, a body of work that chronicles a journey of self-discovery and actualization. "It's the journey from being upset to being angry to being hopeful - a hopefulness I want listeners to know exists for them, too," she says. It's also the rare narrative record that's songs also stand as strongly alone as they do in sequenced order. "I was still in the PARANOIA headspace, and I didn't want to leave it, but as we made these songs, you can hear me growing and going deeper than I ever have before," Maggie notes. "Even if some of the melodies changed or production elements took new form, a lot of SUCKERPUNCH is as we originally wrote and intended it - songs that showcase the new version of who I've always wanted to be."

The album name, she says, came to her soon after. "It's an unexpected punch, a blow you didn't see coming," she says. "When I was making this, I had those blows in my own life; when I listened to the album back from start to finish, I realized the entire thing was a sucker punch - for myself, for my fans - and I knew it had to be the title."

If you ever have the opportunity to see her do it. Even if this genre of music isn’t your taste, keep an open mind and give it a try. I had a very quick opportunity to meet and take a photo with her. Maggie is so beautiful and sweet. It was a bad day leading up to the concert but when she got on stage her energy was infectious. Her songs are relatable. She an amazing performer/artist. She even let a fan sing the second bridge and chorus to one of her songs. Also Kailee Morgue was her opener she did amazing as well seemed very sweet and her music is cool I will be giving her a further listen. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Concert was great, meet and greet was not!

    by J. C. on 10/24/22

My daughter and I enjoyed the concert. Venue was comfortable and sight lines were great. However, the evening ended terribly. My daughter waited in line for over an hour after the concert to meet Maggie only for her and the others behind her get turned away by Maggie’s manager who said she had an early flight. This was very unfair because we watched numerous fans have lengthy interactions and several photo ops with Maggie. Needless to say my daughter was devastated. All fans are equally important and should be treated as such!!

    Incredible Intimate Show

by Biba on 10/22/22Mercury Lounge - New York

We drove in from Canada for this show and it couldn’t have been more fun. Maggie’s performance was so genuine and interactive. After the show, Maggie and her manager organized all the fans to make sure we all got a chance to meet her, get photos and autographs. They were so sweet and nice. Will definitely remember it forever. Hope she tours soon and comes to Canada!

Saw her as one of the openers for Madison Beer’s Life Support Tour on Oct. 30, 2021. She performed almost all of the songs from her EP, plus a newer song that had just came out a few days prior. Her stage presence is everything, and despite how hard her songs are to sing, she has AMAZING breath control! I loved seeing her so much and I can’t wait until she goes on tour by herself.
