UCONN v Cal Great/ St Johns v TX A&M Lame

by RealLongIslanders on 12/25/13Madison Square Garden - New York

MSG great - UCONN great and thank you Cal for coming out here BUT St Johns v TX A&M were worse than high school -- can you find us a better match-up than "hometown"? We expected better -- get two good teams for the first match. Nice event overall. Great tribute to Maggie.

Maggie Dixon Classic.... great event, great cause!

by Bballrulz on 12/25/13Madison Square Garden - New York

We met our son's girlfriend and her family in NYC for our annual pre-Christmas visit and centered our day around the Maggie Dixon Classic. The games were excellent, and MSG was the perfect centerpiece for our day in the city. Having UCONN participate in this event made it even better!

    Maggie Dixon classic

by stacy11 on 12/22/12Madison Square Garden - New York

Me and my daughter attended the event. We both enjoyed it very much. We were able to see two games for the price of one. And it drew a big crowd as well. I also enjoyed the fact that I was able to have my blood pressure and cholesterol taken.

    Maggie Dixon Classic

by BillyD102 on 12/11/12Madison Square Garden - New York

Went to tournament with my wife and 16 yr. old daughter and her friend who both play high school basketball, was impressed with girls and the teams on the court and action. Tickets were resonably priced, however I was expecting more of a crowd, I did get to move down to better seats with no problems, which was really nice. Learned more about who Maggie Dixon was and her contribution to basketball and life in general was. Overall would go back next year, it was alot of fun.

Watching T-Spoon coach was worth it all!

by Bren517 on 12/11/12Madison Square Garden - New York

This is my 2nd year attending the Maggie Dixon Classic.. The teams that are playing are teams that continue to improve as the years go by. It was enjoyable to watch T-Spoon "school" her girls on playing a game that she loves. Her way of correction to the players was one with firmness, caring and respect for the player and the game. I will be sure to return again next year. An added bonus is the health screenings that take place for the fans benefit. Thanks, Bren517

Tournament is always a pleasure and educational. Love the Teams, but think ARMY and another team or Navy should play along with Rutgers. Seats were too close, uncomfortable for tall people.

This was a wonderful event. Not only did we see two excellent college games, but we attended the meet and greet with T-spoon, Kim, Alan, and Lambeer. One issue though -- it was the "Maggie Dixon Classic" honoring her life and educating people about heart health. YET, there was not ONE venue in the Garden at which anyone could buy healthy food. How ironic is that! Next time, please, open a "heart-healthy" food venue for those of us who already understand that heart-health has everything to do with our day-to-day choices.

    Teams mismatched

by BelowGrand on 12/11/12Madison Square Garden - New York

Rutgers vs Louisiana Tech Duke vs. St. John's The results were predictable. There would have been two great games had Rutgers been matched against Duke and St. John's against Louisiana Tech.
