About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

    Too hot!

by RCar on 4/19/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

Madonna’s instruction to have the venue hot ruined my experience. It was not an outdoor venue. To make it worse, there’s a huge fire pit effect that she uses that added to the heat for the duration of the show. If you’re not a fan of saunas, be warned. Otherwise, I think I would have loved the show. Her dancers were amazing!

At 65 Madge still got it!

by Honger on 4/19/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

It was her last show in NA. One of her best performances! As always such a great show. It was stinking hot in Moody Stadium, Austin. I was hot in a tank top. Madonna’s in leather singing & dancing. The ultimate professional & such a trooper. She was probably dying but it didn’t show in her performance.

    A Celebration!

by Tommy on 4/18/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

So much fun! The show was amazing as to be expected. Madonna sounded great and sang so many hits. Her fans are FANATICAL and everyone I saw was having the best time. Yes it was late as usual and hot, but so what? Totally worth it to watch one of the all time greatest entertainers live.

Damn! This diva is one sexy senior citizen!

by Johnny Oh! on 4/18/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

Finally saw Madonna (Louise Ciccone) live in concert last night at the Moody Center in Austin, some 40 years after she burst on to the music scene *way back* when I was in college. Never let it be said that a 65 year-old woman can't still be sexy and seductive! I was glad to know in advance that she typically doesn't hit the stage until about 2 hours after the publicized start time. Also, the Moody Center was a veritable sweat lodge, as she knows well that AC keeps her vocals from being at their peak. But when she finally made her grand entrance, after a rousing introduction by Bob the Drag Queen, she kept us all absolutely mesmerized for nearly the next 2.5 hours. You definitely get your money's worth at a Madonna concert! Such a spectacle! It was as much superbly designed and choreographed performance art as it was a thorough retrospective of her peerless 40-year chain of chart-topping hits. One line she delivered that really stuck with me (and I'm paraphrasing here) was "The most scandalous thing I've ever done has been to stick around (on the music scene) for all this time!" Hoping to see her in concert again when she turns 80! Maybe she can be this generation's Mae West?!

Amazing show, venue not so amazing

by Lily on 4/18/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

The show was amazing, the venue was not good enough, no air conditioner working at any time, the show was not totally visible at the highest locations.

    sound was awful

by jf on 4/18/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

I can deal with the late start, the heat, and the diva like attitude, but the terrible sound was disappointing and quite frankly awful for someone of her stature.

Two hours late on a Monday night! Really?!

by Stacey on 4/18/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

I have been a fan for 30 plus years. The change in date was acceptable. But starting TWO hours late on a Monday, when normal people have to work on Tuesday, NOT good! No real pre show entertainment. Just waiting. And it was ridiculously hot. Had to leave way early due to the late hour an uncomfortable temp. Epic fail!

Buyer Beware: Do not go to Madonna shows

by JP on 4/18/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

The start time for Madonna concerts on this tour are advertised as 8:30 pm, with a caveat in fine print saying the time is not necessarily exact. Well, at 8:30 pm a DJ stood on the stage playing music for an hour. I'm thinking this should be a quick break since there was nothing to breakdown and set up for Madonna's act. However, the audience waited for another full hour before she finally came out to perform. Many of those in attendance exited before the show was over, given it did not start until 10:30 pm (on a weeknight no less). I later learned that this is the norm, not the exception, for her show on this tour. A total lack of consideration by the artist for her fans who shelled out a lot of money for the show.

    A surreal experience

by techguy on 4/18/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

Madonna outdid herself at this concert. This was our fourth Madonna concert and it was the best one yet! The spectacle of the production paired with her greatest hits was a recipe for an unforgettable experience.

This concert was an experience! It provides an overview of Madonna's journey as an artist. The stagecraft was impressive. I just wish that it would have started sooner.

Five Star Retrospective of Madonna's Career

by East Texas Boy on 4/18/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

The Celebration Tour is an entire recap of Madonna's career. If you like anything about her you will love this show. We saw her in Houston and were so blown away we bought tickets for Austin the next day and it was just as good the second time. There are no bad seats as her stage reaches to the back of the floor. Her dancers, staging, light show and other visual effects are the best in the business. You get a concert, a Vegas show and a three ring circus all at once! Really, it's hard to keep up with everything that's going on. At times the entire floor of the arena is alive and the lasers come from all directions - it's actually hard to remember where the main stage was. If you had never heard of Madonna you would still like this show for the visual entertainment. This is a production - not just a singer with a group of dancers. You get your money's worth several times over. It's a long show and she starts late so come prepared - don't expect to start work early the next day. Take a chill pill and enjoy life - if you can't stay up till 1 am - don't go.

    Always innovative and creative

by Tyler C on 4/18/24Moody Center ATX - Austin

What an amazing show. Madonna is always so creative and innovative. Worth every penny. She gives it all and is just amazing. The best performance artist of our time. You will sing, move and be moved. Cant wait to see her again. Note: don't be mad at late start time - she usually starts 2 hours after the recorded start time of the show. So dont arrive at doors. And she requests a warm room. She has done this for nearly 40 years it's no surprise!
