Madeon on Tour

Madeon is not your average EDM wunderkind. This French DJ and record producer may have got his start before he was of legal drinking age, but he crafts some of the smartest pop-straddling dance music on the planet — and when he brings it to the stage, expect fireworks. He's known for spectacular visuals, a pumped-up stage presence and live-only edits which turn the intensity of beloved album cuts up to 11. In 2017 he was nominated for two Electronic Music Awards, and he's produced sparkling tracks for such heavyweights as Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Two Door Cinema Club and Ellie Goulding. He toured with Lady Gaga for her Born This Way Ball, but his solo tours have fared just as well: The 2015 Adventure tour hit 22 North American cities, and his 2019 Goodfaith tour generated massive buzz, thanks to his growing interest in songwriting and pop songcraft.

Madeon in Concert

Madeon, born Hugo Pierre Leclercq, got his start composing music at the tender age of 11 in Nantes, France. His breakthrough moment came in 2011, when he was just 16: A YouTube video of his "Pop Culture" mash-up of 39 different songs (on a Novation Launchpad) went viral overnight. Months later, he would land his first live show ever, opening for French pop chanteuse Yelle in Paris. In 2012, he parlayed that success into invitations to play Ultra Music Festival in Miami, as well as Coachella, Lollapalooza and the Electric Daisy Festival...and he released his first EP, The City. (All this while maintaining his life as a normal teenager in Nantes.) Three years later, he dropped the well-received LP Adventure, which spawned tracks that were used in TV shows like Dancing With the Stars and games including FIFA 13, 15 and 17 and Forza Horizon. He took his time crafting a follow-up, and moved to Los Angeles to purposely throw himself into unfamiliar situations so he could learn and grow. The result was 2019's quantum leap, Goodfaith.

Been following him since he released Pop Culture and finally got to see him live. One of the better concerts I've ever seen. Love how he doesn't talk and "hype" up the crowd because his music speaks for him. Amazing music, amazing light show, amazing energy - he got the crowd really involved. He even said on his instagram post following the end of his Pixel Empire tour that he has some new ideas for next time - must see.

    Why was it so short?!

by Anonymous on 2/23/16Electric Factory - Philadelphia

We arrived about 30 mins after the 830 show start time and there was no music or anyone performing. Madeon came on at about 930 and his set was awesome if you enjoy his album. He played a variation of every song on the album and nothing else. The one thing I couldn't understand is why the show was completely over by 11:15, no closing DJ or house DJ. I'm not sure if skylar spence didn't play at all or only for the first 30mins that we missed (which I highly doubt). I was disappointed that for almost 40 a ticket we barely saw two hours of show beginning to end. Electric factory or Madeon not sure what happened but shortest concert I've ever been to.

Went tot he concert with high expectations and Madeon left me speechless. Ive wanted to see him for years because of his live mixing is crazy. The visuals he made for the tour were like no other concert I've been to and I've been to a lot. I will definitely be seeing him the next time he's comes to NY.

    Amazing!!

by Blomeli on 1/24/16Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Madeon was amazing this year, the 2016 Pixel Empire Tour was dopeeeee! Me and my brother see Madeon every year and we always leave more satisfied than the last. The funny part is every year Madeon is so good that we don't think he could get any better and then lone and behold he ups the bar once again! He drops the remastered version of adventure deluxe this year and every song is on point! Highly recommend the show! Last year the openers were questionable, especially since they didn't really fit the Madeon crowd but this year the openers were great! They fit the demographic that loves Madeons unique style! Fit the crowd that goes there to see refreshing styles similar to Madeon himself! First we had Andrew Luce who's style I can describe as Madeon fused with Casmere Cat accented with a San Francisco downtown twist. After that, Skyler Spence played. He had a funky style that incorporated live vocals and guitar, pretty interesting to watch. I'd classify it as a revitalized version of 70's music with an underground New York flare. All in all, I was pleased with both openers! Thanks again Madeon for the great performance! HIGHLY SATISFIED, with all aspects of the show!

Awesome lights and bass. Disliked skylar spencer playing before him, it brought down my mood and didn't enjoy it at all. Everything else was amazing.

Madeon was amazing, exceeded my expectations. The opening bands were like the wedding singer followed by karaoke night, I wanted to leave

    AMAZING

by MadeonWonMeOver on 1/22/16Fox Theatre (Oakland) - Oakland

We skipped the opening act and came before Madeon started. He's no doubt an amazing DJ! He played for maybe a little more than an hour and it went by so fast. Definitely recommend going to see him! After the show, WE EVEN GOT TO SEE MADEON IN PERSON. He was on the sidewalk talking to fans and taking pictures. He did so with everyone (small crowd since it was in the back of the building), and he is so kind. WORTH SEEING.

    Amazing!

by MarleyBee on 5/30/15Webster Hall - New York City

Literally amazing. He poked his head out to wave to the fans and from that point on we were just chanting his name. Amazing lights, great music, I just didn't want the night to end. Just wish he spoke to us like said hello or something

    Unreal night,

by DanSienkiewicz on 11/11/13SoundGarden Hall - Philadelphia

This venue was absolutely amazing; very safe, fun and clean. The show was "Stellar". If you were there, you'd know what I mean. Madeon is side-by-side with Avicii for my favorite DJ/Producers. He put on an even better show than Tim did! 11/10 would go again!

Madeon never, ever disappoints. Personally am a huge (obsessed) fan of him. Not only does he have poppin' progressive but he will throw in a little of everything. All and every song is so catchy, groovy, and just makes you want to dance way past the point of exhaustion too. He's so young yet so talented; will definitely see him again.
