Madeon on Tour

Madeon is not your average EDM wunderkind. This French DJ and record producer may have got his start before he was of legal drinking age, but he crafts some of the smartest pop-straddling dance music on the planet — and when he brings it to the stage, expect fireworks. He's known for spectacular visuals, a pumped-up stage presence and live-only edits which turn the intensity of beloved album cuts up to 11. In 2017 he was nominated for two Electronic Music Awards, and he's produced sparkling tracks for such heavyweights as Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Two Door Cinema Club and Ellie Goulding. He toured with Lady Gaga for her Born This Way Ball, but his solo tours have fared just as well: The 2015 Adventure tour hit 22 North American cities, and his 2019 Goodfaith tour generated massive buzz, thanks to his growing interest in songwriting and pop songcraft.

Madeon in Concert

Madeon, born Hugo Pierre Leclercq, got his start composing music at the tender age of 11 in Nantes, France. His breakthrough moment came in 2011, when he was just 16: A YouTube video of his "Pop Culture" mash-up of 39 different songs (on a Novation Launchpad) went viral overnight. Months later, he would land his first live show ever, opening for French pop chanteuse Yelle in Paris. In 2012, he parlayed that success into invitations to play Ultra Music Festival in Miami, as well as Coachella, Lollapalooza and the Electric Daisy Festival...and he released his first EP, The City. (All this while maintaining his life as a normal teenager in Nantes.) Three years later, he dropped the well-received LP Adventure, which spawned tracks that were used in TV shows like Dancing With the Stars and games including FIFA 13, 15 and 17 and Forza Horizon. He took his time crafting a follow-up, and moved to Los Angeles to purposely throw himself into unfamiliar situations so he could learn and grow. The result was 2019's quantum leap, Goodfaith.

    Amazing show

Wonderful venue, wonderful performance. You could go in with no knowledge of Madeon and still have an amazing time.

Amazing despite performer being super ill

    by J. K. on 12/7/19Franklin Music Hall - Philadelphia

His production was off the charts and I didn’t even know he was sick until the next day reading reddit.

    My God

by Hugh Jasshole on 12/7/19Franklin Music Hall - Philadelphia

Literally the best stand alone show I’ve seen. Compared to several other EDM acts I’ve seen, this one takes the cake for most visually pleasing and the atmosphere was something you don’t see often. Would watch again live the rest of the tour if I could.

Seeing a master do his thing

by El on 12/7/19Franklin Music Hall - Philadelphia

I am a huge Madeon fan, so I knew I would love it going in, but it just blew my mind. The visuals and remixing of all his songs really made it something special and has given me new perspective on his work. Madeon may have been very sick during our show, but his clear dedication and composure is something I really admire and appreciate. I'm just amazed that even with that happening he was still doing his thing. Venue was great. I was in the mezzanine and it gave a great view of everything (including the guys getting tackled by security lmao). It wasn't overly crowded which was also really nice. Just happy I got to see him in person, easily my favorite concert of all time 😊

    Best French DJ EVER

by Sam on 12/6/19House of Blues Boston presented by Cricket Wireless - Boston

This was my first EDM concert but I've been to House of Blues in Boston a couple times. I went in just for Madeon. I didn't even look up who Devault was which was the leading show into Madeon. The visuals were superb and clean looking. Madeon's music sounded perfect in that stage area. Lighting effects had a great range of color and brightness. At one point I did kind of wish the music was louder so I could feel the bass hit my chest a little more, but the balance of each track was so good that being louder might have ruined it. Great show!

    Best show I've been to

by June bug on 11/19/19Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

Music is azimg weaved with old and new. You can tell he understands the ins and outs of music. The ebb and flow of calm and energetic was mastered well throughout whole set. And visuals were stunning. Also his minimalistic dj set that also lit up to focus him topped it all off. I'll always see Madeon I'd he is near me or a state over. 10/10 recommend. With that said unfortunately his usually opener for this tour ilo ilo wasn't there. The giobbi person. Was not a fan. You could tell her and madeon are on way different levels of skill

    Great Show!

Madeon always puts on a great show! He mixed his new music with some new remixes of his old hits, and he does it all live.

Saw him at second sky and his set then was a banger. New music was cool to hear, not the same level though. Great visuals.

    Most Genuine Show in Awhile

by tonyatfilth on 11/12/19Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

Madeon sang, played piano, mixed, and even jumped around. Hugo knows how to get an emotional connection to a crowd and boy did he do it at the Fillmore. The visuals and production were amazing. I haven't seen anyone be able to perfectly harmonize live instruments with singing and mixing all by themselves. I am still crying.

    High Energy Audiovisual Feast

by catccc on 2/24/16Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Madeon is not my usual genre; I was a bit hesitant because I've never seen a producer/DJ live before. I thought it might be uninteresting button pushing. Thrilled to report I was so, so far off base. The music was beyond amazing, and Hugo's stage presence is powerful and captivating. Madeon finished off the night with Home/Adventure Medley and it was fantastic. Usually when you see a band they play one song to end the night. With a music producer, I guess you can get a last song, plus a skillfully combined live mix of multiple songs. It recapped the night and reminded me how awesome the entire show was. It was so good I checked for tickets for his show a couple hours away the next night. No luck, it was sold out. Totally understandable, given the caliber of his performance I'd just enjoyed. This show was spectacular and easily one of the absolute best live music experiences I've ever had!

    Absolutely Amazing!

by MallorieSV on 2/23/16Electric Factory - Philadelphia

The entire show was phenomenal! The opener, Skylar Spence, really brought some groove into the venue. He definitely gave that performance his all and it showed. The audience wasn't as receptive unfortunately, but just know I was getting jiggy with it, no joke. Madeon came on shortly after and took my breath away. He mixed his tracks live and it made them even better! All I got to say is, he is incredibly talented and I look forward to his new tracks and concerts. I am so happy I went! *both Madeon and Skylar Spence have this awkward but cute way to them, it's not important, but just something I noticed.
