This was the best concert I have been to in a very long time they kicked ass. Bo Bice gave a kick ass concert as well he is the best !!!!
We brought our 17 year old daughter. She had heard all the songs, but never knew they sang them. The only song that she knew they did sing was "Free Bird". Even she came away as a big fan. I would recommend anyone go see them, they really put on a great show. I would go again!
Bo Bice was awesome!!!!!! Even has his family out on the tour with him. Lynyrd Skynrd was still rockin!!!! Great concert all the way around.,
AWESOME! They were excellent the first time I seen them and even better this time! Still miss the ol gang but I know Johnny does Ronnie proud-Fly on FREEBIRD!
The entire event was awesome. The guitar riffs were amazing....especially on Free Bird at the end....everytime you thought it couldn't get better it did. The entire crowd was into everything all night long. Was really looking forward to seeing Bo live and he didn't fail to deliver one bit. Several friends had seen Lynyrd Skynryd before and had thouroughly enjoyed the show, and now I know why. A friend that came with me LOVED the big screens on the side of the stage, he had seen them perform in Pennyslyvania but was only able to hear them and wasn't able to really see anything due to where his seats were...he said this event made that one look like nothing since he was finally able to get a bigger picture of how they perform.
Now, I never watched American Idol, so I didnt really enjoy Bo Bice too much. But he was good. And I must admit, it was adorable when his four-year-old ran out on stage and hugged him at the end. All in all, i'd say Bo gets a 4 out of 5. But then, the act we'd all been waiting for, Lynyrd Skynyrd, hit the stage. They started out talking about their new album coming out, God and Guns. Then they sang 'Skynyrd Nation', followed by other new songs, then a medly of older classics. After 'Sweet Home Alabama' they left. BUT came back for an encore of 'Freebird'. Of course, after we got out of the concert I couldnt hear, and i can barely hear today. All in all, Lynyrd Skynyrd gets a 13 out of 5 in my book.
Loved how Bo had his son come on stage at the end. Lynyrd Skynyrd rocked! Loved him bringing Bo out for Sweet Home Alabama. Free Bird was great. The only thing that bothered me was how they kept saying Illinois with the S. Maybe he should have done a little homework on that
Music way too loud. It sounded distorted. I like to hear the voices too and you could hardly hear them sing. I think I lost some of my hearing which I am not thrilled about. I would recommend wearing earplugs. It would have been a lot of fun it they could have turned the speakers down a little bit. I think I'll listen to the CD next time they are in town. The CD is great. P.S. to Johnny Van Zant, Illinois is pronounced with a silent "s".
great show great audience great memories coooooool
The concert was solid proof why SKYNYRD is the hardest working band in show business.
Absolutely Exhilerating! You absolutely cannot miss this show!
Great show, would definitely see them again. One the best showes I've ever been too.
This was a Wonderful Concert, I have been to many of their concerts in the past. They just get better with age. I was very impressed with the big screen, the new photos and visuals. Wished they could/would have played longer. I was very disapppointed in the turnout for this wonderful show, I really thought that there would have been more fans. Can't get enough of this Wonderful Band and their music.
the show was real good skynard was high energy as usual and did not disapoint my first time hearing bice he was ok
Bo Bice was better than I thought he would be and I would consider bying a CD. This was the third time I tried to see Lynyrd Skynyrd and missed them because of cancellation and bad timing. I was so disappointed because it was so loud we had to cover our ears to listen and we never did hear the singer. We stayed for five songs, but after the couples on both sides of us left , we finally did too. There were a lot of people there and I'm sure they stayed because they were big fans, didn't want to waste their money, and had been partying at the fair all day anyway.
The acoustics at the venue were extremely poor. We didn't listen to Bo Bice (opening act) because we couldn't understand anything he was singing. The same went for Lynyrd Skynyrd, but we were familiar with their songs. We expected them to put on a better show.
THIS SHOW WAS AWESOME!! I COULD HAVE NOT ASKED FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE...CAUGHT ME SOME GUITAR PICKS AND A TOWEL!! THE ONLY ONE THROWN OUT!!!! =]
These guys & gals were great. The vocals couldn't be heard as well as they could have. It was really hard to here the girls singing backup... But as far as Lynyrd Skynyrd.... AWESOME bands never die. They are like a fine wine, they get better with age!!
Wasn't sold out, kinda sad considering the great music they've put out. Concert was awesome!
Very high energy and Skynyrd played to the crowd. They looked as if they were having a great time performing. Dedication to the troops very well received and reference to God during the performance made me fell good.
