  • Sounded great!

by Lee on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5

They sounded great! I love when a band seems to be enjoying themselves. My second time seeing them. The first time was about 18 years ago. I hope I get to see them again.

  • Meh

Glad to be celebrating 50 years of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The band did a great job, however itvwas apparent most of their audience is aged and the younger generation don't really know many of the songs. The closing of each song was too choppy, stop and go, often drowning the cheers and by the time tje music stopped everyone was done cheering. Lastly, the lead singer kept on repremending the crowd. YO, thats not cool. Its not the crowd's job to get into it. Its the band's job to entice. All and all, I would see them again. I like yheir old music, not too fond of the screaming new.

  • Awesome time

by Steve on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 4 out of 5

Bought tickets for my kids for Christmas last year. Awesome gift Venue itself no major issues. Should have bought vip parking. Had to walk a while No biggy Seemed the sound for zz top was off a bit. Vocals sounded too low from section 600 Speakers didn't sound clear enough. Too much echo? Outlaws were great. First time seeing them. Too short of a set Of course Skynyrd blew them both away 6th time seeing them. Still awesome even playing the same songs over and over Only gripe was food and drink prices. Didnt eat anything but only bought a $7 can of water. Refilled several times!

  • Excellent

by Not old but old on 8/28/24BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert and such a surprise when Billy Gibbons joined them on stage. They still got it after all these years.

  • Awesome!

by Winter on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5

We purchased the Ultimate package! Although we didn't get to spend much if any time with the band but a quick 3 second picture and No autographs. We did have 3rd row seats directly in front of the stage and the concert itself was absolutely amazing! Lynyrd Skynyrd is amazing. They always play their hearts out. 10 Stars!! Huge fan!

  • Excellent

by Blackie on 8/28/24Rating: 5 out of 5

First time at this venue. Clean and well maintained. Access in and out was great. Our tickets had been gifted and the select parking did not transfer, but front gate personnel took care of it almost immediately. When the show was over the band buses got a police escort out, then Prime Parking folks, but 30 minutes after Free Bird ended we were on Route 11 headed home. Security was excellent. The heavily intoxicated and inconsiderate smoker/vapers were not tolerated. (Did the covid experience erode communal sensitivities or have that many of these morons always been there and I was just buzzed enough to ignore them?) Restrooms clean and the women's attended. Looked like a lot of food options, but we didn't try any this trip. Drinks were as you would expect, extremely expensive. (Gotta pay for all that excellent staff!) Saw Skynyrd and the Outlaws, (with Molly Hatchet) in '75, so was pumped for them; ZZ Top was icing on the cake. Outlaws opened with a short set of six or seven songs. That's OK, they're good, but one-trick ponies. Surprising that they referred to their "Guitar Army"since the "Three Guitar Army"was Ed King, Gary Rossington and Allen Collins of Skynyrd. Ronnie Van Zant would have slapped them silly, but Johnny is a bit more mellow. Since ZZ Top still has two of the three original members, we had expected them to headline, but they followed the Outlaws. Fantastic and flawless set, hitting all but two or three of the hits. Elwood is not Dusty, but he didn't miss a beat. Billy and Pete are as tight as ever. Road crew, audio engineers and technicians top-notch, albeit some latency in the video. Skynyrd killed it! Probably fair to call them a tribute band, but Johnny and Rickey are as close as you can get to original members. The band is famous for delivering a well-rehearsed set and they did not disappoint. You're never going to replicate the three-lead dance, multiple handoffs and jam-session energy of King-Rossington-Collins, so I guess it's good they didn't try. "Mr. Keys"is not Billy Powell, but no one is. (can you say arpeggio?) If there is a great way to pay homage to original members then this band accomplished it. Excellent light show with moving and relevant video imagery. Capping off the experience, Billy Gibbons joined the band for a couple numbers. Tight show, excellent musicianship and great execution all the way around. All three bands have gas left in the tank. It would be fantastic to experience a Southern Rock Festival, with old and new artists, over a long weekend at BankNH Pavilion next summer, especially if the heads could select some of the camping areas, and be allowed to leave to indulge and re-enter after consumption. Is it just me or does the former sweet leaf smell like burning garbage these days?

  • Energetic full throttle on the Hits

The line up of The Outlaws, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd was perfectly matched.

  • Southern Rock Still Lives

by TTB on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5

First, Let me say a few words about ZZ-Top...They were fabulous...they rocked as hard as ever and the new bass player fit in perfectly...RIP Dusty. Love those guys...any time a rock star can make fun of themselves it's a good day for fans. Lynyrd Skynyrd was all I could hope for. With no original members the players who took their place were top flight and they respected the music and the players that came before them literally with a little help from their multi media presentation. Freebird was bittersweet and amazing! P.S. The parking at Hartford SUCKS!!! almost 2 hours to get out of the lot.

  • all 3 bands were awesome!

by tomull on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5

we tailgated starting at 1:00 pm & went into venue at 6:00 in time for the 6:30 start-time for The Outlaws. they were great! ZZ Top was phenomenal & haven't skipped a beat with Elwood Francis taking the place of Dusty Hill (Rest in Peace, Dusty!). Skynyrd was incredible, as they always have been (seen them 25-30 times!).

  • The show was amazing, all 3 acts were great

by Lucille D from CT on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 3 out of 5

However, the venue has changed dramatically since last summer. I don't think I will go back to the Xfinity Center in Hartford. No more lawn chairs, you have to rent theirs, a water costs $7.50 let along anything else. Not a fan of Xfinity at this point

  • Concert was 👍

by Nadia on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 4 out of 5

Concert was good but the venue needs improvement. They ran out of handicap parking and charged us $60 to park because the lot was the same for premier parking. Went to see Santana at Bethel woods and they had a whole parking lot for handicap and also a shuttle and bathroom facilities that was accessible for handicap. But they did have enough rolling carts for alcohol purchases. Think twice before going to xfinity in Hartford.

  • Top Notch

by Michelle on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5

The Outlaws, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd did not disappoint! The show was very well put together and the bands can still bring it!!! A must see for any fan of Southern Rock young and old. Make it a family event!

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd

by MTGRENACHE on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5

The bands were great but the XFinity sound system is shattered! Really sad for all the money you pay to hear these bands.

  • 4 hours of great guitar music

by RobM on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5

Outlaws were short but great. Green Grass.,... was perhaps the best live sing I ever saw over my 400 concerts. ZZ Top was great. Billy's guitar was filthy and is there anyone cooler on the planet? Skynyrd was great but way too loud, which took a lot away from the experience.

  • Still Rockin

by Bob Brown on 8/28/24Xfinity Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5

They still got it. Great show a night of hit after hit after hit

It was way too loud!!! We’ve seen them before, but nothing like this. Sounded distorted. Not enjoyable. Too loud.. sound system problem?

  • Awesome Show!

by Cowboy on 8/28/24BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

All three bands were spot on, the instrumentals and vocals were as I have always heard and remember them. ZZ Top with Elwood Francis replacing the irreplaceable Dusty Hill did an amazing job of recreating Dusty's sound and his showmanship with Billy. It would have been nice to have the Outlaws play more than 4 songs, but the four they did play were their top classics, so I'll give them a mulligan here. And Skynyrd as always, did not disappoint! My only complaint was the jerk behind me, ( I was three rows up in the second section) who kept slamming my chair seat into me everytime I stood up. A little advice to concert goers, especially the over 60 crowd going to see bands they grew up with 50 years ago. If you go to a show like this and expect to sit all night like you're watching a movie in a theatre, stay home! Concerts are for enjoying the music and dancing at your seat! So stand up, dance, and enjoy the show. Otherwise don't waste your money. Overall a great show, and the jerk left early anyway!!
