As Lynyrd Skynyrd approaches the 50th anniversary of the band's critically acclaimed debut album 'Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd' in 2023, they resonate as deeply with their multi-generational fan base today as when they first emerged out of Jacksonville, Florida in 1973. Few ensembles have had the deep impact in creating a lifestyle as Skynyrd has. The band travels forward with a primary mission of celebrating a legacy that honors all whom have had a resonating contribution to the lives of hundreds of millions of fans globally. Former members Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins, Steve Gaines, Ed King, Billy Powell, Bob Burns, Leon Wilkeson and Hughie Thomasson alongside others will forever remain significant contributors to this indelible repertoire and the band's colorful history. Today, Lynyrd Skynyrd rocks on with a current line-up featuring Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Mark "Sparky" Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Keith Christopher, Peter Keys, Carol Chase and Stacy Michelle. Gary Rossington continues to have a significant presence and creative influence with the band, while making select appearances on the road.
The rock and roll powerhouse continually tours, and as Van Zant shares, "It's about the legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and what it stands for, what the fans are all about. There's nothing like getting out there playing a great show with Skynyrd and seeing people love this music." Adds Rossington, "We're still standing, Still keeping the music going. We wanted to do the guys who aren't with us any more proud, and keep the name proud, too."
With a catalog of over 60 albums, billions of streams, and tens of millions of records sold, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd remain a cultural icon that appeal to all generations.

Not the Original but they put on a good show. They Rock!
Was good experience for granddaughter. Not enough songs. Show was over before midnight, not used to that. Love Ricky Medlock!
Instrumentals were great vocals were bad not good for what I paid should have been a 1/3rd of what I paid very disappointed thought would be better
OK, it is no longer the original members after the tragic plane crash a long time ago but these folks rock it out of the venue. Loud, proud, southern rock at its finest.
It was a great concert! I guess it maybe because there was an older crowd. Lynyrd Skynyrd put on one hella concert, one of the best I've seen in a long time. Go see them if you get a chance, you won't be disappointed.
Absolute fantastic show. They played the songs most of us want to hear and then a few others. Most of the crowd stood during the majority of the show. You just couldn't sit still. Such good entertainers. Loved the way they brought back the memories and stories of the band formation and the lost members. I don't know how this show could have been improved. Loved the show. Love Lynyrd Skynyrd!
Saw them in 1976 at 17 and then this show at 66 and it was great both times
Through Ticketmaster, we got great seats to Lynard Skynard in Jax! The purchase was easy, the seats were great, and the experience was wonderful! Thank you!!
I had a great time taking my mom to Lynyrd Skynyrd. The seats were great and with the concrete barrier in between our seats, it gave us extra room. Only thing about that is someone can hit their head on that concrete support and you will have a lawsuit on your hands. Better add a caution or warning sign to those. Also, Dailys Place needs more circulation. Thankfully the weather was nice and there was a breeze but the air in Dailys Place doesn't move well with all the people packed in there. They need more fans. Overall, we had a great time!!
Skynyrd was awesome as usual. All the songs we know and love. Opening band Curt Towne, not so great.
Honestly my expectations were low, but Skynyrd rocked it out. The bad is amazing and Johnny isn’t Ronnie but he is a pretty close second! Thoroughly enjoyed!
This was a awesome show we had really good seats and definitely enjoyed it
The outlaws and lynyrd skynyrd put on a great show worth seeing Rock on
the volume, our ears were ringing after the concert
The music was great by The Outlaws and Skynyard however I found the sound levels too high, needed ear plugs. Disappointed and didn’t understand why a USA and Canada flags were part of show, it’s about music not political awareness.
It was an amazing concert! It brought back so many great memories. 50 years! The energy was fantastic of this Band and had the packed venue on their feet and enjoying an awesome show.
We've done lots of concerts at the Scotiabank centre. But security need to calm themselves down. Friends got kicked out for dancing with no verbal warning. My husband had a Charlie horse in his leg and was in front of the curtain trying to stretch it out and was told to move right then or be removed. I get security is needed but jeez. We saw a few people removed. Probably for dancing which is a shame.
My fifth time seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd! As usual, fantastic. Love the Outlaws too. Just loved the concert!!!! In my community we sing....sweet home Albert County!!!
From start to finish, the show was amazing, tons of energy coming off the stage, all the songs where played with heartfelt care, the ladies & lads keep the spirit alive with incredible respect to the past history of the band and their roots Thank you for coming to Halifax
There might be no original members left in the band now but they put on an Awsome show. The remaining members have been playing together longer than the original band before the crash so it shows how great of musicians they are . Keep up the great work. Cheers
