Lurrie Bell and his band were amazing as they showed just how soulful, fun, and meaningful the blues can be, when done by such aficionados. Highly recommend seeing them if they come your way.
We enjoyed the music. Musicians were excellent and the harmonica player was fabulous.
Went to see the Chicago Blues Kings at Antoine’s Nightclub in Austin, TX. Each singer was great. I appreciated Carl Weathersby’s old school style of blues. John Primer has a ton of pizzazz. Lurrie Bell knows how to work that guitar. I love Antoine’s!! It’s an Austin staple. Reminds you of “true” Austin. They have great bands. You can be so up close to seeing the bands which is cool.
