    Lumenocity was a must see!

    by Duncan2007 on 8/12/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

We have experienced Lumenocity all three years. The thrill is seeing Music Hall transformed Into a spectacular display of color and patterns. Every selection was awesome except for the Berlioz and maybe the Mosolov selection because the music was unpleasant and I felt like Music Hall wasn't even there. A flat screen would have had the same impact. But the last selection to highlight Cincinnati should be included in the finale every year! Since this is very expensive , how about a selection of the best from past years like Charlie Harper and Bolero and Copland's Shaker Melody and always Fanfare for the Common Man. A return of fan favorites??? This is a fantastic event. Limiting the number of audience members was an improvement.

A great day in Washington Park

by WriterDBR on 8/12/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

We arrived at Washington Park around 3:30 on Sunday and got fantastic spots near the front. The day was much, much better organized than in 2014. In fact, a Lumenocity volunteer helped us find a better seat location than we originally chose. The tours of Music Hall were a wonderful addition. They were a welcome activity for the afternoon before the concert. Lumenocity Village also sported all kinds of food and crafts--I liked that food trucks were well represented. I thought the light display and the CSO concert were wonderful. The only thing I would recommend is starting the sponsor thank-you speeches and the evening a little earlier. The POPS could have started at 8. And I would have liked to have more CSO and a little less POPS. But all in all it was a great event.

An innovative way to experience an orchestra

by CincinnatiRedRabbit on 8/12/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

It's like Fantasia for a modern audience. A great way to experience classical music but with a stunning visual display to help you get into the music.

    luminosity

by relayman on 8/12/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

I thought the luminosity event was outstanding. The music was great.I don't often get to hear the Cincinnati pops orchestra or the symphony, so it was a treat. I loved the atmosphere in and around the park., the various vendors, the entertainment, the interactions with other visitors to the event, the food, it all was great. I will put in for tickets again next year should there be another luminosity event. I hope this event continues although, maybe it should become an every other year event so it won't get old.

    A WOW of a show.

    by PammieR64 on 8/12/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

I had a great time at Lumenocity. Got there early to put down chairs and then walked around Washington Park checking out all the food vendors. After dinner I joined the tour of Music Hall and the ghost tour that sounded interesting. I enjoyed the stories and getting a ride on the service elevator. Biggest elevator I have ever been on. Enjoyed seeing Music Hall made out of Legos in the lobby. I then headed out to watch the Irish dancers and the bands in the park. Finally the show started with some ballet dancers and the POPS Orchestra. The singers were also wonderful. Now on with the Luminocity...It was my first time seeing it live and WOW what a show. I loved it all but really loved the review of all the great things in Cincinnati. The CSO was great as always. We have such a wonderful venue for our POPS & CSO and they really make us proud to have them here.

    Lumenocity was once again Awesome

    by Supermariooh1 on 8/12/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

What a great event created at Washington Park to honor the Music Hall and our own CSO. Once again our city has put on a great show and featured our CSO for several nights. Even though tix were sold this year it didn't take long to sell out. I think we may need to do this show for a whole week to ensure that everyone has a chance to go. We had several friends that would have gone of more tix were sold and more nights we open. Can't wait till next year. Great job but I think the music could be catered a bit more to the younger audience. While I enjoy the classical, CSO can play more current material that will keep our younger people energized. Thanks.

Lumenocity was a wonderful display of the arts

by glennerd on 8/12/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

The show was great. Would have loved to have been able to see the orchestra and the dancers. We couldn't from our vantage point. Perhaps the stage could be raised just a little .

    Third times remains a charm

by Smithloweocity on 8/11/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

The auditory, visual and social event remains a "must" for our summers. It is like a live Fantasia.

We (4 of us) loved every minute! The music by the Pops and the CSO, was, as always, superb and exciting. The light show was creative and fun, although must say thought it was better in 2014. An excellent evening!

The complete event was FANTASTIC! It was very well organized and a delightful experience. God letting the weather be picture perfect just added to the wonderful evening. There is nothing more soothing then listening to the Cincinnati Symphony under the moonlight.

Lumenocity - a gift to the city

by GiffB on 8/10/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

Overall, Luminocity is something that is worth seeing at least once. The crowd and seating opportunities can be difficult to navigate, particularly if you don't choose to spend the entire afternoon in Washington Park. The 'village' was great. This year's show was lovely...and I really liked the Charlie Harper tribute last year. This year the tribute to the CSO and historic venues and groups in the city was really nice. With General Admission seats, it was pointless to put rows and sections on the seats...although for next year, it would be nice to have sections for reserved seats.

    Stepping through the wardrobe.

by sjbOxford on 8/10/15Washington Park - Cincinnati

Everything about Lumenocity is amazing; OTR, Washington Park, Music Hall, the musicians, singers, dancers, and especially the light show by Brave Berlin. I only drove an hour to get there, but it felt like I travelled somewhere much farther, like perhaps Bruges in Belgium. It was like stepping through the wardrobe in the "Chronicles of Narnia" to somewhere exotic and full of wonder.
