About

One of the finest, in-demand rock 'n' roll ensembles working today, Lukas Nelson & POTR are bringing their powerful, joyous live show to concert stages in spring 2022. The live shows promise well-known POTR hits alongside new favorites, with a recent review proclaiming "[their] set was nothing short of inspired".

Fresh off the band's enormous success with 2019's Turn Off The News (Build A Garden), in 2021 their widely acclaimed studio album, A Few Stars Apart -- with standout singles "Perennial Bloom (Back To You)" and "Wildest Dreams" -- once again catapulted POTR to #1 on the Americana Albums charts for seven non-consecutive weeks.

Declared "His best album, yet" by Rolling Stone, A Few Stars Apart is Lukas Nelson's testament to finding a human connection: between close family and friends, as well as one's own heart. "The game, for me, is to find a unique way of expressing something that we all feel," says Nelson. "In spite of being influenced by so many different types of music and musicians, country music, in particular, seems to pull the strongest. Country songs can really get you in the gut, you know? And the simplicity on the surface, with the underlying complexity, fascinates me."

Lukas Nelson & POTR  (bassist Corey McCormick, drummer Anthony LoGerfo, percussionist Tato Melgar, and multi-instrumentalist Logan Metz) have wowed audiences and won fans with their fiery stage performances and singular sound, which smoothly straddles rock and roll, country, soul, folk and R&B. Since their debut over a decade ago, the band have toured relentlessly, playing countless sold-out one-night shows and festivals around the world, and occasionally serving as Neil Young's road band. Nelson also co-produced the GRAMMY-winning music for 2018's lauded A Star Is Born film.

    Disappointing

by Gags on 3/11/24Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Lukas was great but the hour and a half wait for him to take the stage put a damper on the evening. When your tickets say 7pm you don’t expect to stand around until 8:30 for the band to take the stage. The delay makes us reluctant to attend an event at this venue in the future.

    Love me some Lukas

by Redbeast on 3/11/24Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Lukas and his band are amazing artists! The concert was great. The concert started way late and there was alot of confusion at the venue.

    Late start

by LauraS on 3/11/24Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The show was great even though we had to leave early due to transportation issues. The show said 7 pm and Lukas did not hit the stage until 8:30 so we scheduled our disabled transportation ride too early because we thought it would end earlier than it did. The venue did not have enough disabled seating for those with walkers and wheelchairs.

    Awesome concert and venue!

by Dingrae on 3/11/24Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas - Las Vegas

We really didn’t know Lukas’s music and we were very pleasantly surprised from the first note he sang! He is accomplished and passionate about his music as were the other band members. The venue was amazing even though it was standing only. We were close to the stage and had fun dancing to the music. A very enjoyable evening.

An excellent performance by a talented band!

by Artichokeman on 3/9/24The Bellwether - Los Angeles

The performance was great with some special moments like when Lukas Nelson and Lili Meola sang "Homeward Bound"and Lukas soloed on piano and sang David Bowie's "Life on Mars"- but it's the club that helped make it so. The Bellwether is a wonderful venue. There was a good crowd, but it didn't feel too crowded with hardly a wait at the bar, and no wait for the bathroom. There were many places to move to for different vantage points and the sound was always good. The limited edge seating for those who need it seemed just right too. Parking across the street at the Visconti for $12 was reasonably priced and very convenient, especially given the rainy weather. I look forward to coming back here again.

    What a show!

by Cattooz on 3/9/24The Bellwether - Los Angeles

I knew just a sliver lof his set list, but had always loved his vibe, so went to see him at the Bellwether in LA. What a great energy, emotion, tone, musicianship and overall performance. The crowd was in his palm. I am now officially a hardcore fan. Thank you, Lukas, for such an amazing night!

    Lucas & Co.

by pat on 3/8/24The Observatory - Santa Ana

The band is wonderful, super talented all the way around, however, the Observatory sux. Standing room only, their ADA section was an insult and a joke. I am tired of these venues with SRO and packed in like sardines. Really, do ya think that's enjoyable for us folks? NO! But Lucas is awesome and his band were incredible. Hope to see them again - ELSEWHERE

Great show! Great talent! Great venue?

by Gailitanne on 3/6/24The Sound - Del Mar

Loved it! Impressed with the versatility of Lukas and the band. As always, Lukas is a great lyricist. Love his songs especially from the Lukas Nelson & the Promise of the Real album. His keyboardist, Logan Metz, is fabulous...beautiful intros...piano & Hammond B3....What really blew me away was after Lukas came on for solo encore - played and sang - the entire band came out, not a word was said and they played Pink Floyd's Echoes! What a cool surprise! What a performance! The sound at "The Sound"greatly enhanced the whole show...

    Uplifting and Amazing!

by Marilyn on 3/6/24The Sound - Del Mar

I have been waiting forever to see this band, ever since they played back up for Neil Young several years ago. I never could get tickets...always sold out quickly. The wait was worth it! Every musician was beyond exemplary. All of them seemed sincerely committed to making the audience's experience unforgettable! And Lukas is so personable; he makes you feel like you know him. They opened with "Set Me Down on a Cloud"and everyone was just rapt with attention. Lukas' vocal on "Is There Life on Mars?"was beautiful. By the way, The Sound in Del Mar is an excellent venue. You can see and hear from just about anywhere in the club (haha...unless you are behind a pole). I would give this event over 5 stars if I could!

    Amazing!

by Cheech on 3/6/24The Sound - Del Mar

It was my 2nd time seeing Lukas Nelson play (1st time was his dad’s 90th birthday party @ the Hollywood Bowl last year), & 1st time seeing him & his band play @ The Sound in Del Mar. They did not disappoint! They ended their encore set with Echoes by Pink Floyd & not only did they blow my mind, but they also gained a lifelong fan! 20/10! ❤️

    Powerhouse

by Jim on 3/6/24The Sound - Del Mar

I have seen Lukas Nelson a few times but this show was the best by far. It was dominated by excellent songs from his latest album. The playing was focused and intense from beginning to end. Perhaps they were inspired by the glorious sound system at the Sound. It was a delightful evening.

WOW Talent..Lukas is a True Musician...

by Concert Lover on 3/6/24The Sound - Del Mar

My friend said it best. Willie is a poet, but Lukas is over-the-top as a truly talented musician. He became one with his instrument and he blew us all away with the connection of music that came to life with his God-given talent. This is a one-of-a-kind concert that is a definite do NOT miss.

    Timing

by Mark on 3/6/24The Sound - Del Mar

Frustrated to start an hour later than advertised. Great music but hard to plan for logistics on a Sunday night when don’t start on time

    Raise up the stage

by MP on 3/6/24The Sound - Del Mar

For those in general mission on the floor, difficult to see through the taller people. I believe if they raise the stage up all people would be able to see. If I go another time I will make sure I have a seat. Otherwise, probably won’t go. The rest of the venue is great!

    Lukas Nelson!

by A fan on 3/6/24The Sound - Del Mar

Just a great musician. Wow! He fascinates me. So talented and I love his music. This show is more choreographed than in earlier years. I like him just being him better to tell you the truth.

Great musical performance - venue ok

by Tony on 3/6/24The Sound - Del Mar

Lukas et al were great, really good supporting act also. Great performance by all musicians, they can all really play!! Guitars, piano, drums, harmonica, what more do you need!!! First time at The Sound, good acoustics but seems like a converted “something else” at Del Mar Fairgrounds. Pretty short line and efficient security to get in, only one way out which caused a bit of a bottleneck, but maybe nitpicking? Drinks were very expensive, 2 beers $30. Would have probably had 3x as many if they were 2x cheaper……. Oh and parking was $20 which is daylight robbery when the tickets for the show were only 2x that. Overall 5 stars, heavily weighted by the music from Lukas, POTR and supporting act.

Lukas Nelson and POTR and his opening group are talented musicians who engaged the audience and pulled off an amazing performance. Great concert, great venue, and couldn’t have asked for more!
