LUKAS GRAHAM IN CONCERT:
Danish soul-pop quartet Lukas Graham has become a hit on both sides of the Atlantic thanks to a string of catchy-as-heck anthems that combine radio-ready hooks with a bit of edge courtesy of the band's hard-knocks background. They call their accessible yet gritty sound "ghetto-pop", and it's a product of their upbringing in a marginalized, rough-and-tumble Copenhagen neighborhood. The foursome may have seen hard times, but you'd never know it at their live shows, where they crackle with celebratory energy and treat ticket buyers to an all-out pop party. Frontman Lukas Graham Forchhammer can seriously belt, and he always wears his heart on his sleeveódespite the fact that he usually performs shirtless. His emotional vocals on soaring hits like "7 Years" and "Mama Said" are matched at every turn by the rest of the band and their energetic playing, making for an upbeat concert experience that always ends on a high note.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Lukas Graham formed in Copenhagen in late 2011 and got their start uploading videos of self-recorded tunes to YouTube and Facebook. The clips were shared widely among their friends in Denmark, and before long the band boasted several hundred thousand views and a growing reputation in the Copenhagen underground. Their 2011 debut single "Ordinary Things" peaked at No. 2 on the Danish charts, leading to a sold-out tour despite the fact that they hadn't even released an album. They rectified that in 2012 with their self-titled debut, a massive hit that topped Danish charts and earned them fans across Europe thanks to popular singles like "Drunk in the Morning" and "Better Than Yourself (Criminal Mind Pt. 2)". Warner Bros. Records snatched them up in 2013, and in 2015 Lukas Graham dropped their sophomore album Lukas Graham (Blue Album) to a No. 3 spot on the US Billboard 200. They're already massive stars in their native Denmark, and with undeniable singles like "7 Years" earning them new fans by the minute, it's only a matter of time before their fame goes global.

This was our 2nd time seeing Lukas Graham and it was even better than last year! It was my first time at the Fillmore, and it's an excellent venue in which to see a band like Lukas Graham!

LUKAS GRAHAM played to a HUGE SOLD OUT CROWD at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. I flew in from Denver to catch the show after having seen the band a couple times before....Once at the very small Marquis Theatre and then at the Fillmore Denver. The song "7 years" has catapulted the band into prominence with a diverse audience including many younger children. The band has continued to put on energetic enthusiastic performances both by the lead singer and the main guiter player. You could see the happiness of the band members to be playing to such a large crowd in New York City. Their first US-released album has a wide selection of excellent songs which they of course play.
They put on a show! They want to be there, which makes you want to be there!
This was a great show by a newer artist. The crowd interaction was great and Lukas sounded just as good on the CD.
Fabulous music but they are also very intertaining in their show. They deliever a very personal show and are very thankful to the audience
Lukas Graham always puts on a great show! Their high energy performance is so genuine and contagious. You can tell they really love playing music and truly appreciate their fans.
They are such a humble and talented group. This is my second time seeing them perform live and they just get better and better. They use the entire stage and Magnum and Lukas are constantly running around and interacting with the audience. Lukas always shares personal stories and explains their music, which I love. They are a passionate and talented band that give it their all at every show. Their shows are well thought out with the lighting, staging, and set list to create an experience for all.
OMG what a performance! From start to finish, they lined up their songs in context, brought the crowd into the vibe, and ended with an encore to remember for life! I'll certainly go back to see them again! America is lucky to have them!
One of the best concerts I've seen in years. Energy, vocals, music.....everything was great.
This is the second time we saw the band and they did not disappoint. Lukas Graham is a ball of energy and his live performance is like listening to his CD. If you ever have a chance to see him, I would highly recommend it! The Fillmore was also an awesome venue!

Lukas Graham has an amazing voice! Very energetic on stage and is great at portraying his feelings through his songs.
Lukas provided a fabulous show with high energy vocals and a knockout band. Clearly an artist that is lyrically connected to his life experiences. His songs tell captivating stories. A bass guitarist who added musically and visually to the stage show (interestingly no "lead" guitar), a keyboard player, top-notch drummer, and an unexpected 3 piece brass section, his sound ranged from 1970's Earth Wind & Fire to edgy rap (Eminen-esque) to poppy, heartfelt ballads. He clearly enjoyed his performance and it showed as he commanded the stage with confidence and humility - even getting so caught up in the crowd interaction that he had to re-start two songs quipping "See, that is what you get with live music". A young man and band with a real future. Up for three 2017 Grammy's for Record of the Year, Song of the Year ("7 Years") and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Not bad for a 28 year old coming out party! Take the time to see this show if he rolls through your town - before he starts playing larger venues. The intimate setting really allows him to connect with the audience (which was an interesting mix of 60 year olds to 8 year olds with their parents).
I truly enjoyed Lukas Graham performance. The show was entertaining from beginning to end. There are no "bad" seats in the Rhyman Auditorium.
Best concert I've been to in my life!! Great venue, audience was kind and participated! I would of enjoyed standing up and dancing more, but didn't want to block anyone's view. I will definitely see these guys again!!
Hard to find many bands that are even better live!! Amazing concert in a great venue. Lukas Graham was a true performer and will look forward to going to another concert in the future. Must attend! The opening act Hein Cooper was great too! Talented artist for sure!

Lukas Graham put on an amazing show! I love how every song had a meaning to him & he opened up to the croud and explained what certain songs meant to him! I will definitely be seeing him again, sooner than later! Amazing show, great venue!
