About

LUKAS GRAHAM IN CONCERT:

Danish soul-pop quartet Lukas Graham has become a hit on both sides of the Atlantic thanks to a string of catchy-as-heck anthems that combine radio-ready hooks with a bit of edge courtesy of the band's hard-knocks background. They call their accessible yet gritty sound "ghetto-pop", and it's a product of their upbringing in a marginalized, rough-and-tumble Copenhagen neighborhood. The foursome may have seen hard times, but you'd never know it at their live shows, where they crackle with celebratory energy and treat ticket buyers to an all-out pop party. Frontman Lukas Graham Forchhammer can seriously belt, and he always wears his heart on his sleeveódespite the fact that he usually performs shirtless. His emotional vocals on soaring hits like "7 Years" and "Mama Said" are matched at every turn by the rest of the band and their energetic playing, making for an upbeat concert experience that always ends on a high note.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Lukas Graham formed in Copenhagen in late 2011 and got their start uploading videos of self-recorded tunes to YouTube and Facebook. The clips were shared widely among their friends in Denmark, and before long the band boasted several hundred thousand views and a growing reputation in the Copenhagen underground. Their 2011 debut single "Ordinary Things" peaked at No. 2 on the Danish charts, leading to a sold-out tour despite the fact that they hadn't even released an album. They rectified that in 2012 with their self-titled debut, a massive hit that topped Danish charts and earned them fans across Europe thanks to popular singles like "Drunk in the Morning" and "Better Than Yourself (Criminal Mind Pt. 2)". Warner Bros. Records snatched them up in 2013, and in 2015 Lukas Graham dropped their sophomore album Lukas Graham (Blue Album) to a No. 3 spot on the US Billboard 200. They're already massive stars in their native Denmark, and with undeniable singles like "7 Years" earning them new fans by the minute, it's only a matter of time before their fame goes global.

Was able to enjoy their performance at The Moore Theater, Seattle a (few yrs.) ago. Such a lay low mellow man. He and his homies strolled up the sidewalk right past his fans nonchalant cool as everyone. Down w/it.

  • attracts a lovely crowd

Not only is Lukas Graham and his band gems, but his audience was absolutely lovely, too. We had positive interactions with everyone around us in our body to body location, including those who needed to get by. Everyone was generous, open and kind. Rozzi was a gem, too! Kudos to Lukas Graham for creating such a lovely community.

  • Excellent venue and entertainer

I have never been to the Neptune theater until this concert. What a fabulous venue. No long lines for beverages or food. You could choose to stand on the floor or sit in the balcony. Not a bad seat anywhere and tickets are reasonably priced. Such a great night!!

  • Underrated!

    by Colleen G on 2/19/24Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Lukas Graham is so underrated in the US! He is phenomenal and deserves way more recognition here! My daughter and I had the absolute best time AND we got to meet him and get an autograph ❤️❤️❤️ He is so kind and humble. I had made a sign that I held during part of the concert and when we met him he actually remembered my sign! I would see him again in a heartbeat and may even travel to see him again if I have to!

I was not very familiar with Lukas Graham, it was more my daughter and grandson that love the band. Now they can add one more fan. I was impressed with the show, the songs and the band themselves. Thank you for a great night.

  • lukas was the best thing i’ve been wait for

by heda on 2/19/24Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Lukas is an amazing performer but this show was beyond anything. He used the setting he had. The fans were harmonious the whole time and it was roaring. i couldn’t change this experience in many ways.. i wish i was up at the stage but not being able to get that was my downside because i was pretty close to first in line so for me that was the struggle because i’m short! All annoyance of my own height went away with Lukas Graham stepping into that spotlight and dominating, he’s been a dream of mine to see so thank you to the Neptune for bringing him to me. This place is a hidden gem for amazing shows.

Lukas is able to take everyone through a journey of his life’s highs and lows. You feel connected with him and his amazing voice. 100% seeing him again the next time he’s in the US
