About

Undoubtedly one of the most beloved and successful international artists of today, Mexican performer Luis Miguel has been thrilling fans since 1990 with his exceptional live performances and top selling albums. He made musical history by being the only Latin American performer to have two platinum albums in the US (Romance and Segundo Romance)--both comprised of beautifully performed, sentimental South American love songs. Miguel is also the winner of three GRAMMY Awards and has, to date, 34 platinum records throughout South and Central America.

    Luis Miguel was simply impeccable!

by Yazmin628 on 5/20/11American Airlines Arena - Miami

Luis Miguel is simply the best. His voice remains intact as does his physical persona. You can tell he is a perfectionist when it comes to his performances. His voice sounds just as magnificent as it does on his records. The show was last night and I am already hoping for his next concert so that I can go, it was THAT great.

The Most Incredible Performer Ever. Period.

by Lissette007 on 5/20/11American Airlines Arena - Miami

This was my third time seeing Luis Miguel, and, like fine wine, he gets better and better with time. I was lucky (blessed, really!) to have gotten 7th row floor seats which gave me an incredible perspective of the show (and spoiled me for life). Luis Miguel is the consummate professional and a master showman, and has the best voice of any Latin American singer of his generation. As far as I am concerned, in his genre, he remains untouchable.

    He's Awesome

by SonrieNM on 5/7/11Concert - Albuquerque

I've seen Luis in Las Vegas and El Paso. He is a fantastic performer. It will be wonderful to see him at Sandia's amphitheater which allows you to be up close and personal. Luis has his own unique style and sings so many romantic songs with his heart. New Mexicans get your tickets!!! Ladies treat your heart and soul under the stars!!

    Could be better

by JFJR on 4/7/11Auditorio Banamex - Monterrey

I took my wife to see this concert since she is a fanatic, and I don’t mind saying that I also wanted to see LM. As a musician I appreciate his talent as well as his band. I.e. Lalo Carrillo is phenomenal. My wife introduced me to LM en Vivo the DVD and I’ve seen it many times so finally after years of trying I was able to score good seats which suited our schedule. In my opinion: Being an audience of mostly women it’s not surprising that for the most part there were rave reviews. My wife knew every song and sang and danced most of the night. Personally I thought LM lacked some of the enthusiasm displayed from the video concert, and he didn’t display as much of his vocal range as well. Many times he would lower his octaves when they are supposed to go up etc. I also didn’t like the lapses in between songs or the musical interlude so he could go and change. I think an extended guitar solo like in Besame Mucho or an all round group solo could work better. I also didn’t like it when LM began to sing the songs behind the stage. Once coming back after the wardrobe change is OK but it happened 3 or 4 times. The scenario was fair. I personally don’t like it when the scenario becomes the concert, it could have used a little more but not by much, but I thought throwing T-shirts was tacky and the ball kicking repetitive. Mind you the flour throwing interaction with the audience was very good, and the highlight of the night from the audience response was definitely the set of older songs mix played to a disco beat. But the biggest fault during the night was the sound. At times difficult to hear and clearly LM was disturbed by this, judging from the number of times he smacked and even exchanged the microphone, pulled his ear piece, or pointed to the monitors. I can sense that LM must be a perfectionist so he had to be disappointed and frankly so was I. Last but not least. Eating and drinking should not be allowed in the seating area. I find this terribly disrupting and in bad taste. If people get sudden urges to eat/drink they should do so in the halls of the venue. I pay good money to see a show without being bothered by the moves and smells of people eating and drinking.

Luis Mi Rey-Not any more! Very disappointed!

by ilis on 3/22/11San Diego State University-Viejas Arena - San Diego

I love all of Luis Miguel songs...been to 3 of his concerts. The last two I had been to, he had a very nice stage scenario and decor, sound was always great! and the best part...he looked handsome and seemed to be into the crowd. I was very disappointed this year, I was expecting the same quality or better from him. Stage was plain and simple, the audio was way off...he seemed liked he did not care. You can feel he was not singing with his heart...I felt he was singing just because he was there and he has to. I was hoping and waiting he will be singing with Mariachi, and of course he did not, this was the first time not seeing him sing with Mariachi :( Concert was 1hr 30 min...seemed liked it went by fast, I really did not enjoy it. And I will never again go to his concerts again :(

    Very disappointed...

by disapointedivan on 2/25/11gibson amphitheater - universal city

I've seen in the past four different times Luis Miguel live , at the Arrowhead pond around 6 years ago, at the Nokia, and also the Gibson amphitheater he always was really good especially with the selection of his songs and of course his voice, the sound etc, this last concert was very poor from the sound problems to the selections of songs everyone knows Luis Miguel is famous for his "boleros" , "romances" at this concert he sang 1 song, the rest were very unpopular, and not to mention the high cost of the tickets. I saw Camila , Alejandro Sanz , not long ago and I should say they did a much greater show then Luis Miguel for about half the price. As we exit the venue people around us were talking also of how disappointed they were with the concert I really hope the right people hear us all and do something about it he's great but but have to keep it up don't take us for granted...

Luis Miguel is the #1 latin singer ever!

by Louve on 2/24/11Gibson Theater - Los Angeles

Concert was excellent. Luis Miguel's vocals are impressive and only get better with time. His physical and wardrobe apperance was impecable. He had the guest dancing and singing along the majority of the concert. His elegance and craft are the ultimate! Love Luis Miguel, and always will. I have been to more concerts than i can count, and have been in fan since the 80's. I am not interested in Luis Miguels personal life, I love him for the artist that he is and the star magnitude he brings to our Latino culture, makes me very proud! Amazing concert! If you are a true fan, you would know that he was not going to bring mariachi, as this is not a Tour promoting that genre. If you want Mariachi, go watch him in Vegas on the 16th when her pays tribute to Mexico Independence Day Sep 16th. xoxo Amore Amore Amore mi Luis mi Rey!!!

Come fly with me - NOT!

by Lorilane on 2/21/11VIEJAS ARENA AT AZTEC BOWL SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY - San Diego

From the first song through the last, the sound was off. Has Luismi forgotten the lyrics to his songs? I didn't like the 3 sets of songs that he cut short. I understand that he can't sing 30 years worth of songs but I felt cheated and let down. And only one bolero for the whole show! He made a name for himself singing this type of music so I was surprised that he only included one bolero. The energy he usually brings to stage just wasn't visible. I felt he was on stage due to an obligation but not necessarily to please either himself or his fans. I hope he makes some changes for future shows or this fan since 1989 will not be attending again.

El Concierto of Luis Miguel was memorable!

by Thepplschamp on 2/11/11Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk - Universal City

Well, this was the second time us attending this event of his 3 performances here in Los Angeles and once again he did not disappoint. Even better was the fact I got closer seats which is the way to go if you're going to one of his concerts. A bit pricey but it was worth it. Unfortunately great concerts like this don't last forever but will surely go to his concert when he's in town again or if I just happen be in a city where his concerts are being held at. Awesome show!

    What Happened to the Mariachi?!?!?!?

by joewanderer on 2/9/11Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk - Universal City

Although Luismi's voice is still in top form, he disappointed with a very short and standard concert. Been a fan of his for as long as I can remember and have attended many of his concerts in the past. This time he seemed hurried and there was nothing new or innovative. One of the most disappointing aspects was the absence of mariachi. I think everyone was left wondering if he was going to come back out and surprise with the mariachi - boy were we surprised! Sorry Luismi, won't be seeing you again for a long, long time - if at all.

    Luis Miguel

by Peluz on 2/8/11Gibson Amphitheatre - Universal City

He still the greatest singer ever, amazing, tickets so expensive for the show time, he should consider that the economy is bad, but we as a fans still supporting him, so he could sing at least 2 hours at least.

by Anonymous on 2/7/11Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk - Universal City

This concert was amazing. Why were people asking about the Mariachi? This was not a Mariachi CD tour... get it straight! LM is and will always be incredible on stage!

He was 50 minutes late, and only played a total of about 1 hour. Spent alot of money for an hours worth of listening. He didn't play a variety of music, at the end the music sounded the same. Maybe he plays more of a variety in Vegas.

    Always Great

by Wingme on 2/7/11Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk - Universal City

Yes we really enjoyed the concert! He was like always very professional even when his mike did not work. He was so humble in apologizing to the public and of course we forgive the technical problems he was having on his first night here in LA. He even proformed more songs that night. He is and always will be AWESOME!! My parents have seen him grow up and they LOVED the Concert!!!!!

    Luis miguel delivers but dissapoints

by tinoo on 2/6/11Gibson amphitheatre - Studio city

Luis miguel by far one of the greatest voice of our time..great persona incredible energy and outstanding performance. However Any performance that's last's an hour and comes out for an oncour of 30 min is in my opinion a disappointing concert by far one of the most expensive and shortest concerts I've ever been to.

    Luis MIguel always delivers!

by nina66 on 2/5/11Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk - Universal City

Luis Miguel the artist was great; never disappoints. However, wished the technical difficulties had, were not so obvious, and the band should have played during the breaks, which were more than I expected. But I would see him again in a heartbeat!!!
