Luenell is the "Original Bad Girl of Comedy." She may be small in stature, but she more than makes up for it with her big personality, booming voice and infectious laughter. Born in Tollette, Arkansas and raised in Oakland, Calif., Luenell, has been thrilling audiences with her brand of comedy for more than 30 years.."

She is one of the most sought-after and in-demand female comics on the scene. She's currently headlining a residency in Las Vegas at Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club, located at the LINQ Promenade on the Vegas strip! Also, look for Luenell's Netflix comedy special, titled, "Town Business," executive produced by .THE. DAVE. CHAPPELLE and directed by THE. STAN LATHAN!

With the touch of a remote control, her body of work in television and film can be found on network and cable television as well as popular streaming services. The 2006 hit mockumentary-styled comedy film "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" was Luenell's breakout role that introduced her to mainstream audiences around the world. Ironically, in the Oscar-nominated film, she portrays a prostitute, named Luenell, with a heart of gold. And in the end -- just like Julia Roberts's character in "Pretty Woman" -- Luenell gets the guy! Currently, Luenell is a part of the cast of the new comedy on Paramount + called CRUTCH, starring Tracy Morgan, which is a spinoff of THE NEIGHBORHOOD on CBS. In addition, look for Luenell as the voice of Milly in the Universal/Dreamwork's family animated hit movie, DOG MAN, one of the top-grossing films in 2025!! Other credits on the big screen include two Eddie Murphy movies - that is, the "Coming 2 America" sequel and "Dolemite Is My Name," "A Star is Born," "Spring Breakdown," "All About Steve," "Think Like a Man," "Think Like a Man Too" and "Taken 2."

On the small screen, Luenell can be seen in "Hacks," "The Last O.G.," "The Middle," "Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Headcase," "Chocolate News," "The Tony Rock Project" and "Californication" - just to name a few. Plus, Luenell is featured in the docuseries "Phat Tuesdays," on Amazon Prime Video, which celebrates "Phat Tuesdays" at The Comedy Store, the influential comedy showcase that helped launch the careers of some of the most famous Black comedians in the industry today.

    My first live show seeing Luenell. Her standup is hilarious & the live was even better.. I definitely recommend seeing her if she’s in a city nearby!

    It was just ok for me. The opening act (the cap-fishing guy) was funny. Seeing a mini rap concert and Ving Rhames was cool. Luenell hasn't ever been my flavor of comedy, but if you like raunchy comedy you may love her. Tickets were cheap thankfully. Oh, the bathroom is two doors down - like outside, in the cold, in November. We left after 90 min.

    Luenell was funny and fresh - a little raunchy + profanity for those who care about that. The venue could improve for crowd flow & mgmt getting in and out, and there is no bathroom in the building for guests (weird), but the show was great.

    I went to experience Luenell for my birthday and she didn't disappoint. I laughed so much and had a great time. My boyfriend felt the show was targeted for women but I had an amazing time.

    You have to leave the building to use the bathroom two doors down. Seriously?! Our fish tacos came out of the kitchen cold in the center. Sent them back and received a replacement just in time to get in line for the show. 🙄 why not just issue a credit and be considerate of show times. Not sure I’d see another show here.

    Saw Luenell for the first time last night at the City Winery in Atlanta. Honey when I tell you my stomach was hurting. This woman had me in stitches. My husband enjoyed it as well. The guy who opened for her was funny also. Would definitely go see her again. Great show

    This was my second time seeing Luenell. I wasn't a huge fan of her comedy, but she did really well when my friend took me to her show last year. I was afraid she'd do a lot of the same jokes, but she was killing it with half her routine being about what she went through that weekend and some topical jokes about what was happening in the news (2024 election). She had us all cracking up, and her opener was on top of his game as well. Highly recommend her show.
