Louisville Cardinals Women’s Basketball History
The University of Louisville Cardinals women’s basketball team kicked off their first season in 1975. Louisville belonged to several conferences, including the Kentucky Women's Intercollegiate Conference and Big East, before becoming a permanent member of the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2014. Over the years, the Cardinals have claimed eight regular season conference titles and six conference tournament championships. Among their 25 March Madness appearances, Louisville has advanced to the Final Four four times and placed as the runner-up in the National Championship game twice, in 2009 and 2013. Jeff Walz has coached the Cardinals since 2007.

Louisville Cardinals at KFC Yum! Center
Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center seats more than 22,000 fans, making it the third-largest college hoops arena in the country. The student section is known as The Ville'ns, and they keep the stadium lively. To juice their homecourt advantage, the Cardinals have made a habit of staging "color" events — "White Outs," "Red Outs" and "Black Outs" — during which fans are encouraged to wear the same color to games.

It had been a while since we had watched the women play and they are a great team. We plan on going to watch them a few more times this season. Go Cards!!

There were plenty of good seats on the sides but we were way up high right behind the goal. It was my granddaughter's 16th birthday present and she was disappointed in the seats.

We had a blast at the first one so we decided to go to a second one, now I know that every game is going to be different but this one was rather a bore. The Lady Cards won the game but it was a boring win. However this will not stop us from going to other home games. I absolutely love the atmosphere in the KFC Yum Center.

The UofL basketball game was such a great time. The girls really had a lot of tenacity and determination, I was highly impressed. I did not think that I would enjoy women's basketball, I LOVED IT! I called my oldest daughter this morning, in fact, and told her that we needed to get tickets to the next game as a family event, as it is super family friendly, and I know my 2 year old granddaughter will really enjoy it as well.

Parking was plentiful and affortable and the Lady Cards were unbelievable! First game I have seen in person all season and it was worth the wait. My daughter, granddaughter (2 yrs old) and I had a wonderful time.

Center (University of Louisville) - Louisvillewomans basketball is the next big thing around here. probably bigger than soccer (which I like alot). need a system so that the many many season ticket holders who don't always go to the games can "donate"/sell or otherwise get the lower bowl seats filled. believe most would give up their unused seats for a donation to a scholarship fund or the athletic program.
