Louis Tomlinson on Tour
"I like the idea of finally finding my lane and feeling comfortable and confident about what I'm doing," Louis Tomlinson said in a 2019 interview, and seeing him in concert shows that he's traveling at full speed. Wielding the charm and onstage presence that he honed as a member of mega-selling boy band One Direction, the British singer and TV personality puts on a high-energy live show that spans his whole career — all the way back to the days when he auditioned for The X Factor with The Killers' newer-wave smash "Mr. Brightside."
Louis Tomlinson in Concert
Born in 1991 in Doncaster, England, Louis Tomlinson trained as an actor in his early years, and landing the role of Danny Zuko in a school production of Grease gave him enough confidence to try out for the Simon Cowell-helmed British singing competition The X Factor in 2010. He didn't place as a solo singer, but decided to enter with four other contestants as a group that was dubbed One Direction. They came in third during the show's seventh season, but they wound up being first in fans' hearts, creating a Beatlemania-level frenzy as they headlined stadiums around the world, released chart-topping songs and repeatedly broke the internet until they went on hiatus in 2016.
At the end of that year, Tomlinson released his first post-One Direction song, a collaboration with EDM festival floor-filler Steve Aoki called "Just Hold On." In 2017, he collaborated with pop belter Bebe Rexha and British DJ Digital Farm Animals on "Back to You." Later that year, he released two solo singles, "Just Like You" and "Miss You," that were marked by introspective lyrics. In 2018, Tomlinson returned to The X Factor as a judge, mentoring Jamaican-born singer Dalton Harris to victory. He resumed his own musical career in 2019, co-writing Blackbear's "Changes" and releasing three singles in the run-up to the January 2020 release of his first solo album, Walls, and the Louis Tomlinson World Tour in support of it in the spring and summer of 2020.

by Amanda on 8/3/23THERE WAS NOT ONE THING ABOUT THIS SHOW THAT I DID NOT LOVE!!!!!!!!!! (I went to his concert in Philadelphia, PA). Louis brought it, and did not disappoint. He looked amazing, sounded amazing, his stage presence was amazing, the setlist was amazing, and everyone around me was sooooo kind and easy to talk to (both of the openers were great too). Louis definitely knows how to work and engage the crowd and make things exciting (especially at the end of each show when he comes down to the barricade)! The overall atmosphere and energy was so fun and electrifying. It gives you a feeling that you're truly home. Louis creates and provides a safe space, which is warm and welcoming for everyone there. The only negative thing about seeing Louis is that the PCD (post concert depression) hits you VERY hard (I miss him so much). My experience was AMAZING and I recommend anyone who has the opportunity to see him to DEFINITELY go. This was the best night of my life and truly magical (he was incredible)! I can 100% guarantee you'll have a lot of fun (anyone can enjoy and appreciate Louis, you don't even have to be a fan to have a great time! :) . I love Louis and am so proud of him ❤️.

by valentina on 8/1/23louis knows how to put on a hell of a show. i saw him in raleigh, nc for the faith in the future world tour. his music and energy are just amazing and the execution of the entire show was just electrifying. i definitely want to catch him on tour again. if you get a chance to see him definitely go!! you won’t regret it.

by Aleja on 7/31/23I loved Louis, he was amazing, perfection and sounded sooooo good live; no complains about him or the openers. However the venue was not very organized, the lines outside were pointless because when they opened the doors they just didn’t follow the lines.

by MD on 7/31/23Disappointed in the handling of the crowd by the venue. Doors were to open at 5:00 pm. They never let the people in until after 6:00 pm. The venue should be prepared for extreme heat situations, especially during the months of July and August. Misting machines should have been placed throughout, since the temperature was over 90 degrees. People were passing out and getting sick due to heat exhaustion. First time at the Iconic Stone Pony and was very disappointed.

Louis creates such an electric atmosphere, and simultaneously such a safe space for concert goers and fans alike. He takes the songs from his album faith in the future and makes them something even more incredible (if that’s even possible). I saw him in Atlanta, NJ and NYC and every time he brought something new and exciting to the stage. I am so proud to see the development of his confidence and stage presence and I can’t wait to see what FITFWT entails in Europe. Louis I love you so much thank you for such an amazing NA tour <3

I’ve been to so many of his shows and they are different and unique in their own ways. He always interacts with the crowd and always makes sure everyone is safe.
