About

With more than twenty years as a stand-up, Louis C.K. is one of the most honest and respected comedic voices of his generation, finding success in television and film as well as the live stage.

Louis' new FX series, Louie, premiered to rave reviews on June 29 airing on Tuesdays at 11:00 PM.  Louis is executive producer, writer, director, editor and star of the series based on his life as a stand-up comic and single father of two living in New York City.

Louis' stand-up concert film, Louis C.K.: Hilarious, premiered at The Sundance Film Festival in January as the first stand-up concert film presented at Sundance.  Directed by Louis, the film received rave reviews with Variety declaring, "Standup comedy cinema has a new star in Louis C.K.: Hilarious."

In July, Louis was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Special for his second hour special, Louis C.K.: Chewed UpChewed Up, is available on CD & DVD and Louis' first hour special, Louis C.K.: Shameless, is available on DVD.  Louis has starred in two HBO One Night Stand stand-up specials, a Comedy Central Presents special and HBO's 25th Anniversary Young Comedians special.

Louis recently starred in the film, The Invention of Lying, alongside Ricky Gervais and Jennifer Garner and was seen in a recurring role on the NBC series, Parks & Recreation, playing Pawnee police officer Dave Sanderson, a love interest of Amy Poehler's "Leslie Kanope."

Louis created and starred in HBO's first traditional sitcom, Lucky Louie, about the struggles of first time parenthood.  The complete first season of Lucky Louie is available on DVD and the series premiered in Canada on March 3, 2010.

    Fabulous Show

by Old Broad from Queens on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

Fabulous show, starting with amazing jazz by Ravi Coltrane, followed by two very funny comedians warming up the stage for Louis CK. Mr. CK was simply hilarious. Crazy. Insane. Hysterically funny.

Uneven performance, not a good venue

by BB on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

Louis performance was just okay - some jokes very funny, some not at all. The acoustics of MSG did not do well for the warm up jazz act, which just sounded loud. The visual of Louis on the televisions would go in and out in terms of the lighting. When the performance was over, the escalators were not working and it took us ages to get out - we ended up walking down the stairs from the 200 seating level. Before the stairs we were all crowded together and waiting- great feeling during the age of COVID. I would have preferred to stream the event.

Louis’ stage presence is amazing. He literally had me and my wife and everybody else laughing for 70+ minutes. He’s been my favorite comic for a long time and seeing him live was an awesome experience!!!

    Redemption through laughter

by Sarah wrought on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

I was extremely apprehensive going to the show with my boyfriend given Louie’s past indiscretions and how I feel as a woman. That being said, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard, the pre show entertainment was quite good with a special shout out to adrienne iapalucci who absolutely killed it. I was surprised Louie addressed his past and the hardships that his fans have had to endure over the past few years. While good, the openers really illustrate why Louie is so good, every joke landed and I don’t think there was any dead air where a joke bombed. I feel like Louie has redeemed himself considerably and I am happy he is back.

    Once in a lifetime experience!

by Andrew Fernandez on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

My friend and I had both never been to MSG before and are huge Louis fans! The entry was very organized, the seats were comfortable and provided a great vantage point for the action. Ravi Coltrane and his band set the mood perfectly for an old school vibe. The openers were excellent, particularly Adrienne Iapalucci. She was a stone cold killer and we walked away as 2 new fans. Louis CK delivered on every bit. The pace was great, the jokes were artfully disgraceful and we had the most fun with his Bible bit. Overall it was everything we could have hoped for. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did. 11/10

    We Missed Louis!

by D. P. on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

Funny as ever and great venue! So happy we saw Louis again. Last time was a decade ago at Bananas in Hasborouck Heights. He’s really matured his presence on stage.

    Funniest man on the planet

by Kurt frusciante on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

This guy is the funniest, most creative and intelligent comedian I ever heard live other than Dave Chappell. No matter how sick his jokes are I can’t get enough of it. I’m so happy he is back on top after that mess in 2017. He did not deserve to be canceled. Thanks Loui!

A Great Show by One of Stand Up’s Few Masters

by William on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

I loved everything about the show from Louis’ funny opening to the jazz trio to both warm up acts to the venue to the hour plus of top tier material from Louis. But the best part was getting to see my favorite comedian live.

    Sound bar

by Unexpected on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

We bought tickets in the 227 section and there was a big black sound that blocked the screen so we couldn’t see the comedians the entire time. You really should state that when we purchase the tickets. Impacted our enjoyment of seeing the show significantly.

And then he read from the Bible…

by FunnyFuch on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

What an amazing show. From the openers straight through the headliner, it was an honor to see Louis CK at the Garden.

Couldn’t see his face on the screen

by Paige on 1/31/23Madison Square Garden - New York

The speaker obscured the screen so that we couldn’t see his face for 80% of the show. It was critical to so much of the show and a huge disappointment.
