Wonderful talent in a wonderful venue. Great evening. Fun entertainment.
The show was excellent and I can't wait for the next show in April. A must go place.
He’s fabulous! This was my third Lou Christie concert I’ve attended. The first was a little over 30 years ago.
Lou was humorous and entertaining. His rendition of "Never my love" was moving and a great way to end the concert.
Overall, the show was a walk down memory lane and well done. The drawback was the level of competence of some, given their age. Jay seigel, was great, and Lou Christie was good, but Larry Chance is fading and the Earls looked like something from the Adams Family. Everyone else lived ip to expectations. Will go again in May, 2023.
Went with high expectations of excitement which I found was certainly felt from the energy of the performers. Although the music performed was a little later of era than we all thought it would be. We enjoyed the night out and I was touched to witness the passion still in the great, some old timer, performers. They love what they do and the music keeps them young. I could feel the appreciation the performers had for the audience. The acoustics of the venue need some work and sometimes, too often, the sound/volume of the band out blasted the power/sound of the singers. We all enjoyed the fun night out reminiscing about 'the good ol' days."
Purchased premium tickets to surprise my wife (she wore her Planotones shirt) to see Kenny Vance and the Planotones, Cleveland Still and the Dubs and Jimmy Clanton as advertised on Ticketmaster and the Bergen PAC sites. Saturday Dec 11th we went to the venue, took our seats and waited for them to perform. The show was not as advertised!! I might understand if one of the groups or maybe another was not there, NOT ALL 3 I’ll think twice before I use Ticketmaster !
I think this was called a doo wop show but it was all ‘60s groups and they were terrific. Considering their ages, they were peppy and their voices were great. Loved the show.
Great show Energetic performances Love the music Love the venue
Should have been told that the headliner, Kenny Vance, would not be there. Also the Dubs and Jimmy Clayton. That fact was conveniently not mentioned. It seems like he stopped doing concerts in October!
waited 2 years for the show. no kenny vance. too many single acts with no back-up singers until the second half. too many security people constantly walking up and down. wearing a mask all night is distracting and not necessary. why do you need a photo id to enter the theater, but not to vote?? no groups from the 50's. the worst l a r show i have ever been to.
It was better than I expected. All the performers put on a great show. Would like to see more shows like this.
I purchased ticket for ourselves and for friends of ours for their Christmas gift. They stated it was their best gift yet! The songs brought back fond memories and we could not help singing with the groups.
The only suggestion that i would like to make is to turn down the volume of the band.
Better than I expected all acts were still great as they were back in the day Dion tribute also very good
It was a good concert but when you say holiday doo wop you’d expect some holiday music. Maybe 1 from each group?
Lou Christie, Chantels, Happenings and Dupress were fabulous!
Loved the show. Kirby is a great venue. The groups were very entertaining, sometimes a bit off-key, but still wonderful to travel back in time to our 'teeny bopper' days. Detractors for us; we would have preferred that the groups sang their music, not their version of other folks' songs. All in all, we had a fantastic time. Ticketmaster added too many extra fees.
Lou Christie was great...so were The Happenings. The Chantels were okay. The Duprees were good but they didn't generate the excitement that Lou and The Happenings did. The show would have been better had one of the two exciting acts ended the evening. The Duprees (though good) slowed down the momentum.
THE SHOW WAS AMAZING. TO SEE THE SINGERS I DANCED TO AS A TEENAGER WAS TOTALLY AMAZING. WOULD SEE AGAIN IF SHOW WAS OFFERED!
