LOS LONELY BOYS IN CONCERT:

Chicano rock favorites Los Lonely Boys are known for their signature "Texican Rock n' Roll," a unique style that combines rock, Texas blues, and Tejano. Approaching two decades together, the Boys are nothing if not seasoned performers, and fans can expect to see a rip-roaring display of musicianship from the tireless trio at their live shows. With their eighth album hot off the presses, Los Lonely Boys will hit the stage hotter than a ball of Texas fire on their 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Comprised of Texan brothers Henry, Jojo, and Ringo Garza, Los Lonely Boys self-released several records in Nashville in the '90s before moving back to their home state with the hope of finding a more appreciative audience. The move proved fruitful — under the tutelage of Willie Nelson, the trio's self-titled third album peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart, going on to receive double platinum certification from the RIAA. Since then, they’ve become key players in the Texas music scene, releasing a string of successful records including the Grammy-winning hit single "Heaven" and Grammy-nominated songs "More than Love" and "Onda."

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"The Garza Brothers put on another amazing show! I have seen them several times, and they are great every time. If you ever have a chance to see them live, I highly recommend it."

"Los Lonely Boys are amazing and we go to see them every time they are in the area. They play Texas Rock and Roll and can play their instruments with amazing ability! Their voices are great too with their harmonizing!"

"Absolutely amazing! These guys played their hearts out and rocked the place."

    Los Lonely Boys kickoff concert

by MowToe on 8/9/09Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

I have loved the songs of Los Lonely Boys ever since I was introduced to their music several years ago. I had never seen them perform live until this last Friday evening at Emerald Queen Casino. I had always wanted to see them live so I bought 8 VIP tickets very shortly after they went on sale in May. The talent of this trio is nothing short of amazing! A huge amount of harmonious sound was produced from just these three talented young men. Their vocals blend extremely well as can only happen between brothers. They proved themselves quite adept at improvising when it came time to bring up Mitch Kashmar as a special guest. Jojo has the amazing ability on his 6-string bass to keep bass lines going and also play chords at the same time to fill in the sound. He stole the show several times with the antics of him and Henry both playing Henry’s guitar at the same time. He also proved that his voice is every bit as good as Henry’s and Henry seemed to be quite willing to share the limelight. Ringo pounded out some powerful sounds and managed to break his snare drum head – twice! They had a tremendous stage support staff that was on task all throughout the show. The Garza brothers also graciously expressed their gratitude to the fans for their support. My only complaint was the seating at the concert. The seating at the event was made up of portable chairs. Our VIP seats were very small chairs and they were placed flush up against each other. Most of the people in my group are over 6 feet tall so only 6 of us could fit on 8 of these chairs without any space between them. Two people in my group had to go find seating elsewhere. EQC did have some nicer, larger chairs but not enough for the entire venue. I guess their greed to sell more tickets overshadows the comfort of their patrons!

Good music, way too short, did not even play 2 hours, even with encore.

Excellent concert, but the seats in Emerald Queen ballroom are too small or close together. LLB were great performers...showmen, and they had a guest artist for one song playing harp with them. The show was too short, 2 hours i think.

I've been listening and loving these guys from the beginning and the show was more than I could ever hope for. I just wanted the night to go on forever. These guys are beautiful bad ass musicians and I hope they keep putting out the music for years to come. I was blown away.

Los Lonely Boys: La Onda Comes to the Northwest!

by smilinkyle on 8/8/09Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

The Wave, The Movement, that is Los Lonely Boys came to the Pacific Northwest at the Emerald Queen Casino Friday evening, August 7th. True, it would have been best to have seen LLB at Stubb's or some other venue in Austin. But since that wasn't available, this night of Texican rock and blues in Tacoma, WA was as close to Heaven as one could get without crossing the Red River. You could tell that these three amazingly talented brothers were glad to be there playing for the LLB 'familia.' All that being said, let's hope that Henry, JoJo, and Ringo--Los Lonley Boys--don't wait so long to return to the Pacific Northwest.

    Amazing guitar playing, multi-talented brothers!

by MsDana on 8/8/09Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

I think we gave them a great audience! Outstaning guitar riffs. Cute drummer! I think he broke 2 snare drums! Could have done without the guest harmonica player. Jojo does a great job on harmonica himself! Great entertainers. Good length of time playing. I missed that they didn't play, "Senorita". Thanks Garza Brothers!

    Los Lonely Boys Rock!

by MrRockNRoll on 8/8/09Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

LLB start their tour off with a bang as they played to a sold out crowd at the Emerald Queen Casino. The boys rocked the house with their brand of Texican Rock' N' Roll, opening the show with "Heart Won't Tell A Lie". Bringing on stage a special guest harmonica player "Lee Oskar" from the famed group "War", LLB jammed together on the song "I am the man to beat". The concert ended with a strong version of their hit "Heaven". Tho the show was awesome from start to finish, it seemed a bit short at around 1hr 15min. Though they could have played a bit longer, what they did play made for a wonderful experience and it was well worth the price of admission, especially since I enjoyed the show from the second row. I think the LLB band are one of the best groups to make it big in the past 30 years. If you have a chance to catch this group live, don't miss it!

by SunshineCyn on 8/8/09Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

This was the best concert I've seen in decades. No opening act- they just came out and had us mesmerized from the first song. They clearly were having a good time. I'll never miss a concert if I'm in the area. They took the roof off! Mad musical talent!

Los Lonely Boys Shouldn't be Lonely at all!

by ChefD2 on 8/8/09Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

This was a great show! They are such talented guys, and showmen, and really nice to look at as well. I am so glad to see them still together, and the harmonies are just as true as the recoreded versions. I would like to have known if they played any new songs from a new CD, and their merchandise to purchase left me wanting something more, so I did not buy anything. The sound was better than other shows at the EQC that I have been to, but that could have been the fantastic guitar and bass from the guys, they really are great, I would pay to see them again.

Los Lonely Boys awesome musical talents

by Paulc425 on 8/8/09Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

It was my first live Los Lonely Boys concert, and their shear musical talents were overwhelming. I had no idea they are that talented, and it blew me away. Highly recommended, especially for guitar lovers, and Santana fans. You can tell these brothers grew up in a musical family and started at an early age. Had to buy their Live album on the spot, and loved it all the way home. It seems they can interchange instruments at will. The only drawback was not getting another hour or two from them!

    LLboys were so-so

by Acorona on 8/8/09Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

They started late and finished early. I went in anticipation of hearing their (our) favorites. I kept waiting to hear them but they did not play them, like "hollywood" etc. Only when they played Heaven did the crowd really get into it. Unfortunatley it was the finale. Some stage hand was running around the set and gave it a flair of unorginization. I am a huge fan of LLB but was disappointed.

Los Lonely Boys , so much more!

by katrinket on 8/8/09Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

I always like Los Lonely Boys, even have one CD. But what I expected is what I heard on the top 40 stations, good harmony, soulful voices. But what I hear last night was SO much more. They rocked the place! I was blown away by the guitar performances. Henry's performance put me in mind of a young Santana. He made that "Lady" sing, it was very sensual. Jojo's no slouch either, and his voice is pure velvet. Ringo blew through 3 snare drums and thank God he had replacements! He was amazing! The icing was the introduction to the guys themselves. They were so humble and fun, really fun. One of the VERY BEST CONCERTS I've ever been to! Time to buy more Los Lonely Boys CDs!!
