One of my favorite bands for many years, and I was excited to finally get a chance to see them live during one of their rare visits to Atlanta. Great set list, including "Will the Wolf Survive," "Kiko and the Lavender Moon," "Shakity Shakity Shakes," "Volver, Volver," and many others. The most versatile band in America, moving from fabulous Tejano to gut-busting rock to blues to R&B, sometimes in a single song.
The only reason I rank it with four stars is the ultra laid-back audience, who could only be convinced to get up and boogie during the obligatory "La Bamba" (sort of a case of "oh, yeah, I know THAT song!" by many in the crowd who knew nothing of the band's catalog). Still, a wonderful time was had by all, and the band graciously did a "Meet and Greet" after the show to sign autographs and chat with fans.
