Love Los Lobo, high energy, talented band. First time at Penns Peak. Have folding chairs on flat floor. Seating is very uncomfortable, was able to inch my chIr forward a bit so I didn't have to fold both mt shoulders in. I will never use this venue again.
They were really good. Wish they had played longer . Sat in the VIP seats which were outstanding. Great place for a concert.
Great new venue, the Tannahill Tavern in Ft. Worth Great acoustics and an awesome performance from the amazing Grammy winners and celebrating their 50th year together. Americas Best Band, Los Lobos!
Venue was good. Wish they’d started on time…an extra half hour standing wasn’t great. Band was phenomenal. Not too familiar with their music but I’m a big fan now!
Los Lobos played without a break for about 90 minutes :) All concert issues appeared to be venue related. Constant sound level issues on mikes and instruments' amps. Made for an uneven experience. The opening act, Gabby Moreno, apparently thought she was playing to a Spanish speaking audience as she only sang one song, Nobody's wrong, in English. Strange and a shame. Also, much like Los Lobos, sound levels were an issue. In fact, as near as I could tell, her bass player was only clearly audible on one song even though he was playing away throughout her set. The drum kit was much too loud the entire set and may have been drowning out the bass guitar.
The acoustics for Los Lobos could have been adjusted. They weren't playing in didgers stadium, they were playing in a smaller venue.
So, we enjoy the music of this band, however the concert was so disappointing because it was just too loud. We had to leave early as our ears couldn’t take any more. We could mainly hear 2 of the guitars, and we couldn’t really hear the singing.
I've been to CCA for a few programs. This time to see Los Lobos and Gaby Moreno. I was not disappointed. Once they got the microphone volume increased we could finally hear. It took people yelling to put up the volume. Overall a good experience.
Gabby Moreno who opened the concert was excellent. She has a great voice and warmed up well to the audience. Los Lobos was great as well. Unfortunately for both Gabby and Los Lobos the sound mixing was terrible. The sound of their voices was drowned out by the instruments for most of the evening.
Love this band and have seen them many times. Unfortunately you couldn't hear the vocals or instruments through the show. You could see band members looking off to the side with hands in the air. At one point fans were yelling after a song at Cesar to indicate they couldn't hear him. Great venue for a concert and ease of getting to seats but a bummer on the audio experience.
I've caught Los Lobos multiple times going back nearly 30 years and it's always been a favorite show. Unfortunately, this time around the mics and amps were not accommodating to bring out the best in the band. This prompted some in the audience to shout out to "turn this up or that down" and only once halfway through the set was the vocals and instruments almost in line with acceptable. Nonetheless I wouldn't hesitate to catch these guys next time in town.
They are great musicians but the venue was not the best place for them to play. It was too loud to enjoy and you cant dance at this venue. I would have preferred to have seen them at an outdoor or bigger venue. The opening act Gabby Moreno was awesome! Loved learning of a new great artist.
A phenomenal evening of great tunes and stage presence. An evening with Los Lobos should not be missed.
I was disappointed with the community of Laredo. There should’ve been more people attending the concert. The ticket price was just right, it was general admission & it was for a good cause. There were more people on floor level which purchased a table than the ones on the stands.
Absolutley Awesome! Los Lobos music was hypnotic and breathtaking. What a beautiful experience it was .
Too bad that it started late and lasted later than expected. Even Cheeh left before it ended.
Great vibe created by the band in one of the venues they used to play at in the 70’s. Our church hired them to play for church dances in the downstairs area. Great then, greater now!
Way better then we expected. We were dancing in the aisles and loving the experience!
The Vogel is a great venue. The band was superb. Fun night!
