The music was fantastic, the story did not intrude on the music and provided some good information.

    Great place to see Rent

    by glamgirl21 on 9/29/10Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Seeing Rent at the Hollywood Bowl was pretty cool. I have seen Rent many times, and I enjoyed the creative liberties Neil took with the show. That being said, Wayne and Nicole stole the show. Especially Nicole. She may have been a better suited Mimi and I hope she gets a lot of work from this. Awesome Rent at the Bowl.

    Pink Martini- fun!!!

by violinerkid on 9/28/10Hollywood Bowl - Los Angeles

Pink Martini played a great show! Fun dancy songs with a really lush sounds of the LA Phil- talk about a great back-up band. They had some cool guest artists and played some ol' favorites. Oh, and the fireworks were great!

The show was excellent, the atmosphere, unparalleled. The fireworks show made the show that much better. I would love to go again. Wine, food, Tchaikovsky, and fireworks. What more could you need?

Earth Wind and Fire was ON FIRE!!!

by BIrene on 9/22/10Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Our evening was PERFECT!!! Our seats, the sound, fireworks...couldn't have been any better...other than the group of 10 people standing behind us and talking through the entire concert. Ushers never made them find their seats. Ushers/Security also, apparently, don't care about the pot smokers that gather along the back wall and smoke right in front of them. Other than that, thank you Hollywood Bowl for a great evening!!!

Viva Mexico! w/ Calexico & Ozomatli

    by Biggboyy96 on 9/21/10Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

GRANDEZA MEXICANA FOLK BALLET COMPANY were awesome with their dance arrangements. MARIACHI REYNA DE LOS ANGELES, Bravo!!! I want to see them again! Mexican Institute of Sound took up valuable Ozo time. Not impressed. Calexico was Ok at least but didn't fit the bill. Ozomatli was outstanding but did not play long enough. They just gave us a taste of their talents. No Encore?????? What's up with that????

by dannyboyhifi on 9/21/10Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

great venue and show the mariachis were great and so were Calexico and Ozomatli but overall there was not enough calexico! OZO blew the doors off at the end but the Mexican INstitute of sound kinda sucked but i still had a great time.

pink martini at the hollywood bowl

by anabijoux on 9/21/10Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

This is a great group of consummate musicians. However, we did not get enough of Pink Martini at this concert. It seemed as though they only played about 4 songs, and then trotted out several performers to "fill in". I came to see Pink Martini in person, not Jane Powell (whose voice is gone), or the original Sesame Street cast (their voices were also a little shaky)!!

Amazing event! The night started off with great energy with the folklorico dances and mariachis. The music groups kept escalating the pace until Ozomatli finally took the stage. It was a great way to celebrate a lively and colorful culture. My one complaint: No encore!

    Incredible but far too short...

by Anonymous on 9/21/10Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The one thing I can criticize about this show? Everyone's sets were too short. I know it's not possible, but I would've stayed all night.

    Ozomatli and Cheech

    by 1988popper on 9/21/10Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

When Cheech Marin came out and started singing, it hilarious and awesome to see how united every person sung along. The entire show was amazing and environment was unique. If this happens again, I am taking my entire family.Ozomatli definetly was unforgettable, I literally was dancing in the isles and the steps. I wish I would have known about the bringing your own wine because that would have made things even better. there was so much hospitality amongst the entire crowd. I was eating chicken with the friends to the left of my girlfriend and I, then had a beer with the gentleman directly in front of me.
