Los Ángeles Azules on Tour
The timeless cumbia rhythms of Los Ángeles Azules will crisscross El Norte this year. Launched in the early '80s by a half-dozen siblings of the Mejía Avante family, Los Ángeles Azules (Blue Angels) have surfed wave after wave of Latin music. It's been a long road, but their romantic take on Mexico's cumbia sonidera sound remains as popular as ever. Los Ángeles reignited once again last year with Esto sí es cumbia ("This Is Cumbia"), whose twist on original hits by Ha*Ash, Miguel Bose, Gloria Trevi, Yuri and other Latin stars hit the Regional Mexican Albums Top 10. They kicked off 2019 with "Nunca es suficiente" ("It's Never Enough"), written and sung by Natalia Lafourcade, which became Los Ángeles' first Regional Mexican chart-topper in 19 years. Live performances with the Mexico City Symphony Orchestra in 2016 demonstrated that cumbia belongs to everyone. But whether accompanied by a symphony or in their usual baker's-dozen configuration, expect to hear hits like "Cómo te voy a olvidar" ("How Could I Forget You"), "Por el amor a mi madre" ("For the Love of My Mother") and "El nuevo sonido de la cumbia" ("The New Sound of Cumbia").
Los Ángeles Azules in Concert
A family affair from the beginning, with more than two dozen albums to their name, Los Ángeles Azules began in 1983 as part of Mexico's young and rocking onda grupera movement. Formed by the Mejía Avante siblings Elías, Alfredo, José Hilario, Jorge, Cristina and Guadalupe, the band hit its first peak in 1996, when their chart-topping "Inolvidables" went platinum in Argentina, the group's second home. A new singer, Erick de la Peña, gave the band its biggest hit to date in 2002 with "Por el amor a mi madre" from the album Alas al mundo ("Wings to the World").
Los Ángeles' most recent surge began in 2013 with the album Cómo te voy a olvidar, an updated re-recording of the group's hits with guest vocalists including Carla Morrison, Lila Downs and Ximena Sariñana. And while the band's foundation in cumbia sonidera's ratcheting guïra rhythm and lilting accordion will never disappear, Los Ángeles Azules took their music to another level in 2016 with De plaza en plaza: Cumbia sinfónica, a glorious powerhouse blend of rootsy cumbia and sophisticated strings.

Great the wife love it she when crazy hopefully they come back soon so i can take her again
Seats were amazing, performance was over the top! The only thing I really didn’t enjoy was , this music is TO DANCE ! We weren’t allowed to dance, they sent us back to our seats, I mean I get why but there was space and everyone wanted to get up! Other than that, I enjoyed it.
My husband and I had a wonderful time. The minute we walked in the venue we were made to feel wanted, respected and everyone wanted to help us find our seats. We enjoyed the concert immensely, we loved the atmosphere and loved the fact that people were allowed to dance even though it was a concert. I loved the fact that the group was allowed to play extra sets and although workers must have been tired by the end of the night they were still friendly. It was easy to access the venue and parking was not a problem and leaving was easier still. I thoroughly enjoyed the night. I hope they can come again. It is my second time seeing them in this venue.
This place is darling . You get a nice view no matter where you’re sitting . I like that it has several entrances /exits to the main theatre .
We had fun and it was a nice experience. Peking was easy and close.
Los Angeles Azules were great. This is my 2nd time seeing them in concert. The venue was great. Parking was easy to get in and out of. Only thing was that we were not told ahead of time we could not bring flags in the venue.
The over show was really good. What I didn't appreciated was people trying to be in front and pushing everybody in front. So disrespectful. More security could've made the experience better.
Awesome show took my Parents they loved it ! Please bring more Latin artist to that venue
Going through security and checking in to the venue was easy! Saving the tickets to the wallet app made checking in a breeze!
It was such a great show! They are amazing! The music was awesome. Everyone was dancing.
Need drinks to be cheaper. A break in between would be nice to go and buy drinks and snacks
LOVED MY FIRST TIME SEEING LOS ÁNGELES AZULES!!! WOULD DEFINITELY SEE THEM AGAIN AND CLOSER TO THE STAGE!!!
It was fantastic!! Such a fabulous night. Full of energy the venue is phenomenal.
It was pretty good but I hate that the venue wants to super pack the place and gets uncomfortable we should be able to enjoy the show without caring for our tiny space we are standing on. Many people was on the halls and staff constantly removed them from there too because they couldn’t see from any other direction.
I took my parents to see them and from past experience, I knew that the venue was a bit small. But overall I liked the songs being played, what threw me off was the staff and the event. At the beginning, nobody stood up and when someone did everyone else told them to sit down, even the staff was waving flashlights at them to sit. It wouldn't have bothered me if there were signs, postings or even an email about it being a sitting ONLY concert. But there weren't any, so the mood was constantly brought down because one staff person. (I get they're doing a job, but at least a heads up would have been nice). What bothered me the most was that there were other people in other sections standing and having a good time, not one staff person said something to them. Overall, fun time with the family, but could have been a better experience.
I love the opening of the show, got everyone off their seats and dancing. I hope they come back to Boston again, hopefully in a bigger place. Need more room for dancing.
The concert started late and the peoples sitting in the front for most of the concert remained standing practically instead of watching the concert just looking at their backs they confuse a concert with a dance definitely a bad experience they put should some rules in place because it is not fair to pay so much and not be able to enjoy
I really enjoyed the concert, the songs played were all my favorites and the atmosphere was amazing! It was one of the concerts I was expecting to see at least once!
Missing Natalia Lafourcade Not the same without her
