Excellent. We had seen it several years ago, but liked this performance much better. And the backdrops were fantastic!
My wife and I were in agreement on this one. We really enjoyed watching the men do their foot work. Absolute fun to watch and we appreciate the skill it takes to maintain the rhythm. The vocals and the women dancing felt like filler, not bad, just not nearly as entertaining for us.
A bit racey for kiddos, but all of it was amazing for me and friends. The talent was incredible.
What a huge disappointment! I should have read the reviews before I purchased my tickets. How sad it was to see such talented performers in such a dreadful presentation. Don’t waste your time with this one.
The show was absolutely amazing. I was on the edge of my seat the whole show. I would absolutely go back and see this again. I've tapped since I was two and it brought me to tears.
The show was very entertaining! My wife and I had a bit of trouble following the story, but truley enjoyed the music and dancing. The encore was great also. I recommend this show. You won't be disappointed!
This performance was outstanding. The talent of these dedicated artists were top-notched and the special effects were stunning. It has been several years since I have seen one of their performances and I promise they did not let anyone down. Definitely an A+ event..
I have seen The Lord of the Dance several years ago and was looking forward to the play as it was. It has been changed and modernized and was such a huge disappointment. The venue is amazing and I see several plays there but this actual play I will never see again.
The whole show was simply co-ordination and lip singing with prerecorded sound tract. They did an excellent job in keeping tightly with the sound tract but was disappointed not to experience actual real new performance
I loved Riverdance, but did not like this one. Storyline hard to follow and it seemed that all they wanted to do was strip.
Really great show, but we miss the elaborate stage the original had. The video screen just isn't the same as the the stage decor of old. The dancers and music were fabulous.
All the show, every second was wonderful, the performance was amazing
First time seeing Lord of the Dance and it lived up to the hype! Great music and very talented dancers. Can't wait to see it again!
You know going in that Lord of the Dance is going to be about stoking Flatley's ego, but the show have usually been enjoyable, the dancing impressive and the music memorable. The only thing I can say positive about this show is the audio engineer and the dancers were quite talented...shame their talents were wasted on this mess of a show. The production was incredibly cheap with cheap graphics, cheap costumes, and barely any production whatsoever. The music was completely generic and the vocal pieces had no life whatsoever. The story over this mess was so thin, there were whole pieces where I couldn't even connect...and the opening video spent several minutes praising at the altar of Flatley. If you have seen it, I share your pain, if you haven't, save your money...please.
The dancers were great with each routine top notch. Very good interaction with the audience. The story line for all the routines was a bit discombobulated and am not sure that the high tech holograms were necessary, though the end routine by Flaherty is very good and worth watching. DPAC, as is its norm, was outstanding and with restaurants around the corner, dinner and a show is now so easy.
I have seen Lord of the Dance three times, and the show still amazes me every time.
This show was very cool! I love that they had many themes in the show and they very much connected with the audience
Really not a very good show. In my opinion Bush Garden offered a fairly similar show
I have seen Riverdance and Lord of the Dance in excess of three times and I'm a huge fan I was significantly disappointed with this performance due to the digital screen which was completely distracting behind phenomenal dancers
I have been to quite a few performances by Irish Dancers, including Lord of the Dance, Celtic Woman, and River Dance. As with all previous performances, this one did not disappoint, and it was a joy to get my favorite seating, right up front. Totally awesome! Also, attending any performance at DPAC (Durham Performing Arts Center) is always a pleasant experience, just a totally wonderful venue.
