  • Great Concert

by CountryHen on 7/6/10Coach House - Capistrano - San Juan CapistranoRating: 4 out of 5

Saw three bands; each had a different style. Anderson Hall band and Lonestar were my favorites and both bands played country and rock. The venue is small, so you feel like the concert is private. FABULOUS

  • Disappointed - Lonestar

by 4crazyfans on 7/5/10Coach House - Capistrano - San Juan CapistranoRating: 2 out of 5

The venue (Coach House) in San Juan Cap. did NOT warrant the HUGE speaker sound - Lonestar doesn't usually play such a small venue ...Ringing int he ears for 2 days afterward. Could it be that they were trying to mask the new lead singer's voice when they sang the great hits we all love? Disappointing only because we wish the original lead singer was still with them - and didn't know he had moved on.

  • Absolutely Great!

  • Go See Lonestar!!

by Monique4 on 7/3/10Coach House - Capistrano - San Juan CapistranoRating: 4 out of 5

The Coach House was a great (small) venue. The tables are right up against the stage. They perform with energy. The new lead singer is cool. He has sort of a Keith Urban look. They performed the classics as well as some new stuff. They opened with Party Heard Round the World, and ended with my favorite, No News. The encore included Amazed and a Rock Medley, which was awesome. Go.

  • LONSTAR

by BIGDAWG719 on 7/1/10Del Mar Fairgrounds - Del MarRating: 4 out of 5

IT WAS A VERY GOOD CONCERT. I LOVED THE SITTING. FIRST TIME THERE BUT LOVED IT AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN. THE ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE IS THE TIMING OF THE SHOW MAYBE A LIL LATER IN THE EVENING SO THE AUDIENCE COULD GET THE WHOLE EFFECT OF THE LIGHTS. OVERALL GREAT TIME THOUGH.

  • These guys can ROCK.

by Liltpr on 7/1/10Del Mar Fairgrounds - Del MarRating: 5 out of 5

I have loved Lonestar's music for about 12 years now and Amazed by You was our wedding dance song! But I had never seen them in concert. I can't believe what I have missed out on. They ROCKED! Besides hearing all my favorites and the great new songs from the new album, the rock medley at the end was incredible. My husband and I talked about how awesome their rockin' voices are. Very impressive. I can't wait to see them again. STEP ASIDE RASCAL FLATTS!! These guys have talent!

  • Disappointed in Lonestar

by KathyBoop on 7/1/10Del Mar Fairgrounds - Del MarRating: 2 out of 5

Lonestar is just not the same without Richie McDonald. I was so disappointed in the direction that the band has taken since they started in 1992. I loved them as a country band but the music now is more "rock and roll". The sound of Lonestar is just not there anymore for me. Cody did an "okay" job of performing some of the older songs but I miss the old band. Music was way too loud and half the time couldn't understand the words to the songs.

Lonestar was awesome! Sound was amazing and the band members interaction with the crowd was great. They played a mix of old and new songs and then "rocked" the crowd with some ZZ Top and other rock n roll favorites. Very talented musicians whether you like rock or country, Lonestar is sure to please everyone!

  • Rocked Out!

Great show, old hits, new songs, great country and fun rock and roll!

I love Lonestar so I really enjoyed the concert. The sound system is not bad for being in such a small venue. The big screens are nice and they are all around. The one thing that I wish was different is that I could have taken my 16 1/2 year old daughter. She also loves Lonestar and was not happy I was going and she was not.

  • Lonestar energizes an enthusiastic crowd!!!

by LonestarFan on 4/12/10The Meadows at Prairie Meadows - AltoonaRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Lonestar several times over the last 12 years. I can honestly say that this is the best that they have sounded as a group in years. New lead singer; Cody Collins, has brought an edge and a renewed level of excitement back to the group (Michael Britt, Dean Sams and Keech Rainwater). The harmonies and the musicianship were incredible. The show was filled will lots of energy that got the crowd going from the get go. There was a great mix of old favorites "No News" and "You Waked In", number 1 songs "Amazed" and "I'm Already There" and new cuts "Your The Reason Why" and "Party Heard Around the World". If you get the chance...LONESTAR is a must see in concert!

Lonestar was awesome! I would highly recommend that everyone see them in concert. Their lead singer did an amazing job. The drummer was fantastic. It was a very enjoyable show.

Lonestar played like they were at a second rate casino - because they were. The concert was sold out and they did their best to excite the crowd playing a few of the songs that made them popular but it wasn't until near the end when they intro'd "I'm Alreadry There" that the crowd finally got on its feet. The band did one encore in which the played some really decent cover bits of Aerosmith, AC/DC, Van Halen and a couple of others. Lonestar is a has been band that is trying to get the magic back that they had in their heyday. Lonestar played well, did their best, but something is still missing from the original formula that made them great.
