Awesome singer. She never disappoints. One of the best vocalists to go see live. The venue is nice, but you need to start selling snacks/light meals again so people can eat finger foods while drinking as well. Thanks

Lizz Wright was awesome
by Ceefunk on 9/23/17Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5Again, Lizz Wright shows why she's one of the top jazz female vocalist in this era.. her band was tight and you could tell that they enjoyed performing for us.
Lizz Wright is a can't miss experience
by Thebossgolfs on 9/23/17Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5I have seen Lizz now 5 times she is great every time. Her voice and delivery are moving with amazing lyrics. She works well with her band and had a great opening act that later came on to perform with her. The only downside is that while Howard Theatre is a great venue is stopped servicing food and it did not clearly state this on the website. I suggest catching her at the Birchmere if possible.
Lizz was exceptional
by Sugarj816 on 9/23/17Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5Lizz was exceptional! Howard theatre leaves much to be desired.
I love Lizz!
by campsharp on 9/23/17Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5Although the show was short; the performance was superb. Lizz and her band were great. I also would like to complement the staff at the Howard Theatre. they showed a lot of professionalism and courtliest that you don't see that often.
Great concert by Lizz Wright
by Broski on 5/1/17Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5I and my lady are really glad we made this concert at the Howard Theater because it was a great show. Ms. Wright showed off her vocal skills and the band was also ready to perform and in the band also had a organ for the keyboardist to play, so it was really a great concert.
Jazz is alive!
by SuzyDi on 3/25/17Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5Beautiful performance! Thank you all for sharing your talents!
Laid Back Evening
by Margojo on 3/23/17Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 2 out of 5I thought the musicians were very good. Mostly laid back music, not much educational information provided to the audience. Unfortunately Hoyt Sherman has the most uncomfortable seats and bad sight lines for such a nice theater. That is why I gave the concert 2 stars instead of more, the location made it difficult to enjoy.
Did Not Live Up To Its Potential
by Fossiliferous on 3/21/17Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 2 out of 5Love Lizz Wright, Chris Potter, and Ben Street. The rest of the band are stellar players too. But this concert was lackluster at best. Highlights were Potter's and the trombone player's solos. Choice of material may have contributed to the uninspiring performance. Left disappointed.

We came for Lizz Wright. Did not get to see much of her. The band played over her in one number

Lizz
by rmcky on 3/18/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5Lizz is a fantastic vocalist and performer. From the Holiness church to the secular stage, Lizz has managed to maintain her core sense of self. Her band is first class providing the space for her to soar.
In the top 5 of best concerts ever!
by arts33 on 3/17/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5Lizz Wright is one of the most underrated, soulful, skilled, elegant singers of our time! For such a sultry voice, Lizz keeps you engaged with her energy and makes you feel the passion in the music with her vocal expression. Not to mention her awesome band! They brought life and energy to music that is usually mello and smooth without taking anything away from the vibe of the songs! This is definitely an evening for couples or if you just like to hear straight up good music!! I could say more but I'll just say this: I'm so glad I went and would absolutely go again!
Superb!
by lovehasfounditswaytoheart on 3/17/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5Lizz Wright's performance was authentic, deep, natural and just real. She didn't seem to put on airs or pretend to perform - what she did was just sing. Her songs were moving, the band was excellent and their interactions were great. This was my first time seeing her live, although I had purchased her first 3 CDs.
Soul, Satin Performance!
by NCGeechieGal on 3/17/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5I saw Lizz Wright at the Birchmere a few year back and she put on an amazing show as well. While this set included less selections and less variety in the songs delivered, it was still enjoyable, punctuated by a beautiful cover of Roberta Flack's "The First Time (ever I saw your face)." Setmate Maia Sharp was a welcomed addition to the show as well, as the two ladies complement each other wonderfully.
Lizz Wright is phenomenal!!!
by Michle on 3/17/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5Great intimate vibe and incredibly gifted singer and her band is outstanding !!
UNFORGETTABLE !!!!!!!
by Anonymous on 3/17/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5Lizz Wright what a talent, She rocked Monday night like it was the week end. She is connected with the spirit ,I love her........ She is a must see
Lizz Wright at the Birchmere
by got2bfree on 3/17/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5I saw Lizz at the Birchmere 3/14/16. Really liked how she sang both "Freedom" and "Silence Is a Song"--seeming to affirm both potential responses to the Spirit. Reminded me of how "Hamilton" depicts both main characters as unwilling to "throw away their shot," while showing their very different approaches--fire and ice, lightning and lava--to taking it. Also affirmed Sly Stone's endorsement of different strokes for different folks. She's still got it. Go see her and make her the superstar she deserves to be!
Lizz Wright
by KBfromVA on 3/17/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5This was my first time seeing Lizz Wright in concert. The word beautiful would describe everything. If you have the chance to see Lizz Wright run don't walk. You'll be forever changed.
