Nothing against the other members of the band...always a good band. But change the name...without ED, you are just not LIVE

About
+LIVE+ have sold over 23 million albums worldwide and earned two number one albums: Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi. Their catalog is filled with such gems as "Lightning Crashes," "I Alone," "All Over You" and "Lakini's Juice," which live on today as classics on rock radio. Throwing Copper--which the band celebrated in 2019 with a deluxe 25th anniversary edition along with a global tour across major festivals, amphitheaters and arenas--produced the band's biggest single, "Lightning Crashes," which was #1 at Modern Rock radio for ten consecutive weeks.
Throwing Copper reached #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually surpassed sales of 10 million albums sold, with Rolling Stone honoring the album with placement on their list, "1994: The 40 Best Records From Mainstream Alternative's Greatest Year." Secret Samadhi (1997) immediately shot to #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually went double platinum. The release of the platinum-selling The Distance to Here (1999) turned +LIVE+ into an international powerhouse and moved the band from arenas into stadiums. +LIVE+ has been and remains today a global concert juggernaut.

+LIVE+ never disappoints!!!
by TLG8973 on 10/10/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5My favorite band playing my favorite album straight through. It was amazing!! An unforgettable night! Happy 20th Anniversary to Throwing Copper!
New Singer, Same Old +LIVE+!
by SGregg on 10/10/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5First show I've seen with Chris Shinn, the new lead singer of LIVE, and even better, the band played the entire Throwing Copper album front to back. While Chris had some moments of jumbling lyrics, overall I was impressed by the energy of the show... much improved since the last LIVE show I saw in 2009, when the guys clearly weren't in sync musically, or personally... just "going through the motions." Hearing Throwing Copper played track-by-track was amazing, as many songs I have not seen/heard since my first LIVE show in 1995, and I was happy to hear them performed with the angst and rock that I fell in love with many years ago. Bottom line - is this LIVE from 1995? No, not quite. But is is better than LIVE 2002-2009? Absolutely.
nice venue
by Tiffs95monte on 10/9/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5Our seats were obstructed view which wasn't mentioned at purchase. Opening band was terrible.

Awesome concert, probably one of the best I have been to in a long time.
New singer sounded great!
by Hottwheelzzzz on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5They played all the hits from Throwing Copper and sounded great. Just wasn't too crazy about the song they closed with...but all in all great show! New singer did an excellent job.
The magic is gone
by purpleboa on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5If you don't care that there's a new singer, then you should see this band. Because if you can get past that, they're not bad. But if you go into this thinking you're gonna see Ed Kowalcyzk up there or at least a good replica- Don't do it.
My favorite band is back!
by Pnabbie on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5From Dam at Otter Creek right through the last finale song of Horse, this was an amazing night. Excellent performance of my favorite album of all time. Chris Shinn and the entire band kicked ass. I've always said that there's nothing like live Live. My favorite band is back! Can't wait to hear their next album!
+Throwing Copper+ 20 Years Later
by Liveoneut on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5WOW! Where do I begin? The boys absolutely destroyed every expectation the crowd had. They were absolutely amazing, so on top of their game it was ridiculous. The HOB in the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City was beautiful, the perfect venue for this special event. Make no mistake, +Live+ is back and in a HUMONGOUS way.
Blaring sound system
by PAS622 on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 2 out of 5We have seen Live many times over the years and they have always been good. While we think the new singer is as good as Ed Kolwalczyk was, their sound system was Terrible. We have been to House of Blues in AC also many times to see different bands and we never had to leave our seats because the music was so blaring loud. The seats were very good and I was totally disappointed that after a few songs we had to go down to the GA area in the back just to escape the high decibel of the music.

The Live performance was amazing really entertaining.
Amazing!!!!
by JustInThyme09 on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5The whole show was just phenomenal, from Chad Gracey first pounding drum beat to the Dam At Otter Creek to the ending Untitled song with the member of Blind Melon. They played three other songs that were not on Throwing Copper including Pain Lies on the Riverside, The Dolphins Cry, and Lakinis Juice. The crowd was very energetic including all of the band members. Chris Shinn is a perfect addition to the band. I would total recommend this concert and this band cause they put on one heck of a show.
Live was GREAT but the opening band was TERRIBLE!!
by sempai1 on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5LIVE was awesome, as expected. Whoever booked the opening bad needs to find a new job. They were terrible. Half the audience was booing them. The guy just stood there throwing American flags around screaming/ranting while the band played dischordant 'music' in the background. Awful.
Mind=Blown
by ottercreek94 on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5LIVE hasn't performed this well in over ten years. Their first headlining show since when, 2009, AND a new lead singer? My mind was blown. My love reignited. Chris Shinn is an incredible artist. I didn't miss "the other guy" even remotely (and I was afraid I might). The guys had so much energy, you would have sworn it was 1994 all over again. I'm afraid to go to any other concert ever again because that was literally the best thing I have ever seen in my life. If you loved LIVE then, you'll be head over heals now!
Live was good- when they finally got there!
by Gilley77 on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5Live is great. The new lead singer does a great job. The opening band got booed off the stage though. The crowd hated them so they only stayed 20 minutes, which left 40 minutes of standing around waiting on Live to show up. I didn't even know there would be an opening band or I'd have come later. I'm way too old (like most of Lives fans) to be standing around that long. :)

This Live concert was as good as any I'd seen with Ed as the lead singer. I can't wait for more Live.
Live was Great although I was dissapointed...
by Talia4 on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5I am not one to right reviews although I just had too. I can't say anything bad about Live, that was great. The problem I had is that the concert started at 8pm, we sat there for hour and a half and still nothing, FREEZING (it was uncomfortable and rediculous and I almost left) Then this HORRIBLE opening act/band comes out (THERE WAS NO MENTION OF THIS ON THE TICKET!!!) They screamed for at least 45 min and then.....after all set up....Live came on...I expected a concert at 8-8:30 and sat there for over two hours for nothing. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

The show was great. Great to see them play the entire Throwing Copper album. The new singer did not miss a beat.
Live without Ed
by Sferrer on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5It was my fault. I should have done the research to know that the lead singer was no longer a part of th band. They were great but had I know the lead singer was someone else I would not have gone. Also, the opening act was horrendous!
Live was Amazing!
by Neikko on 10/8/13House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5The concert was unbelievable with Chris Shinn just nailing it! This band is certainly not fading away...
