The sound for Hall and Oats was disappointing because the middle sounds (piano, keyboards, guitars) and the background vocals were not coming through. Either a speaker was blown or the sound engineer was hearing impaired. The musicians were playing their a$$es off but it was not in the sound. The sax solos were lost in the overbearing bottom end- kick and bass levels. All the shows this season were top notch acts. Thanks to The Garden for booking these artists. Usually our lawn seats allow for great audio sound but I think there was too much low end for Martina McBride also. Sadly many of todays sound techs are used to the boom boom boom and not the great total, overall band sounds that these acts should have....not the bass heavy sounds like a pimps car's subwoofers. The weather was great this season. Not too hot which is unusual in the Mid-south. We loved the atmosphere in The Garden as always!!
I thought the concert was very good. I enjoyed when they played their old songs.
Darryl & John came out right on time , played a great blues infused set, took a short break & came right back out. They took another break ,& came out a played again I believe this was the best concert I've enjoyed at the " Live at the Garden" concert series!!!
I was disappointed. They played their hits, which is what I went to hear. However, the acoustics were off and I couldn't hear the words sometimes (never had that problem before at any Live at the Garden concert). Hall and Oates just seemed to be going through the motions and weren't into the songs. I am glad I went, but won't pay to see them again.
Awesome series.Plenty of volunteers.excellent planning
I understand that she is a multi grammy winner, but at my age, I just didn't remember any of her music except the last two songs. I think that the time her music was famous, I must have been in my country/western period.
Was highly disappointed the Aretha Franklin concert was canceled and was unable to get a refund - otherwise Chaka Khan was very good but not what I payed to hear. After only performing for a little over an hour, the concert was over. Last song at 9:55 and that was it!
