    LEFT ALOT TO BE DESIRED

by hipe1751 on 10/9/17Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park Hard Rock Live - Northfield

THE BAND WAS EXTREMELY LOUD! WE COULDN'T UNDERSTAND ONE WORD HE, OR HIS BACK-UP SINGERS, SAID. WE COULD SEE THIS WAS A HIGH ENERGY PERSON AND SO WAS HIS BAND BUT THE VOLUME THAT THEY WERE PLAYING AT, WELL WE STUFFED PIECES OF NAPKINS IN OUR EARS. AND...WE WERE NEAR THE BACK OF THE HALL!! THE PERSON ON THE SOUNDBOARD WAS NOT DOING A GOOD JOB BALANCING IT OUT! WE GAVE IT A GOOD TRY BUT ENDED UP LEAVING EARLY...

    Good band, terrible sound

by Wolfonwolf on 10/9/17Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park Hard Rock Live - Northfield

First time at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield for a show. Easy parking, accessible, drink prices reasonable, seats at venue (row R, section 2) nice location. Picked those seats, as close enough to see, but far enough back to hear well, not over whelmed by sound. Was not over whelmed by sound, just terrible sound for about 1/3 of the show. Mix was miserable, vocals unintelligible. Feedback(squeal) every so often from mics. After about 5 songs, got better, then much better after another 2 more. Since first time at venue, do not know if it is inherent to the venue site or just lousy sound by act's sound people working the sound board. By far the worse sound at a concert both my wife and I have heard in over 20 years of attending various shows at various venues in and out of town. I could have worked sound board and got better results. So stunned, crossed my mind to leave after first 4 songs, sound was so bad. I did not want to endure a whole set of that. As said, sound did get better, but 1/3 of show was over. Once sound got better, it was a very good show; great band. Which makes it so disappointing, "lost" 1/3 of show. Hate to spend good money on bad sound. Will go back to venue again, but will be wary of getting lousy sound. With technology of today and where it's at, no reason for lousy sound at a concert for more than 1 to 2 songs.

Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul entertain!

    by Curly14 on 10/9/17The Paramount - Huntington

Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul are a GREAT night out. Steven is a consummate professional.....and his guitar playing is fire. The band has a solid horn section, 3 cool lady singers, percussion, guitars, etc. Oh.....and BTW.....if I closed my eyes and didn't listen to the vocals, I thought I was listening to Springsteen music. Both Steven and Bruce obviously have the same musical DNA. Little Steven is cool.....and so is this show! Rock and Roll!!!!

Little Steven & Disciples of Soul at the Paramount

by msstag on 10/7/17The Paramount - Huntington

Really enjoyed the show but thought the sound was too muddled. Little Steven was great and enjoyed the song selections. Was really looking forward to seeing this show. Just wish the sound mix was better that night.

    Great show

by mchambone on 10/6/17The Modell Lyric - Baltimore

Little Steven was fantastic, and he has a wonderful band. The Lyric is a nice venue and Steven put on a great show , as always. Loved the opening nod to Tom Petty too.

    Dont Miss Little Steven!!

by georgeTber on 10/6/17The Modell Lyric - Baltimore

This was a great show. Band was incredibly tight. Played for about 2 1/2 hours, there was no warm up band. Played most of new album, some covers, some original older songs. He does not tour often, so go see him now!!

    Low attendance but decent show

by Tenman on 10/5/17The Modell Lyric - Baltimore

They literally couldn’t give tickets away for this show! (Goldstar had comp tix! StubHub had the best seats for about $25 after fees) I paid full price from Ticketmaster for front row. Steve opened with “Even the Losers” as a tribute to Tom Petty who died a few hours later. Front row may have BEEN to close as my view Steven was partially obstructed by a large TelePrompter in front him. (Kind of disappointing). Musically, he had the difficult task of presenting an overview of his diverse solo work mixed in with covers of some his favorite R&B. So the concert was a bit schizophrenic, musically. From covering Etta James to songs from his politically charged “Voice of America” album. Thankfully he proclaimed at the beginning it would be a politics-free night ( he did still perform his songs “Solidarity”, “Leonard Pellter” and “I am a Patriot” from that 80’s era) Highlights were “Princess of Little Italy” from his first solo album and the encore of “I don’t Wanna Go Home” (a minor hit for Southside Johnny he wrote) and the uplifting “Out of the Darkness” from “voice of America”.

    Great evening with Little Steven

by mikeyjay36 on 10/5/17The Modell Lyric - Baltimore

Rock n roll at its best! The show started out with Even the Losers, a tribute to the late Tom Petty. The band did a great job on a song they probably didn't rehearse much. Steven has never sounded better and the band was excellent. They played the entire Soulfire album (which I love), as well as standout songs from earlier in his career. The three female backup singers were a nice touch, both from an audio and visual standpoint. Unfortunately, there were a lot of empty seats at this venue, which was a crying shame. Music this good deserves a sold out venue. Fortunately, those of us lucky enough to attend made up for it by our enthusiasm.

    Little Steven didn't disappoint

by Pat310 on 10/5/17The Modell Lyric - Baltimore

The Lyric needs to be restored, but the entertainment was on point. Little Steven and his band rose to the occasion. October 2nd, was one of the most sad days in our country's history, but the "show must go on" and it did. Through his music, he was able to give us a period of peace and hope for the future. Horrible day, but Little Steven and his Disciples of Soul helped us get through it. With love and understanding we will prevail. . . Loved the show and I will see it again if I get the chance.

Amazing performance but acoustics not wonderful.

by SJJURG on 10/5/17Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Loved the concert and the venue was easy- parking right there, food and drink readily accessible and manageable crowd. Only complaint was the sound was not wonderful. Not sure if it was the mixing or the acoustics but often it was hard to hear Steve over the female back up singers and the band. But very high energy and well worth the trip.

Little Steven and the band rocked the house.

    by LC0987 on 10/3/17Orpheum Theatre - Boston

What a show. Steven was so alive up on the stage. His voice was nice and clear. The band was terrific, 6 piece horn section added so much. Everett Bradley on percussions added to the sound. The backup singers besides their harmony put on a show of their own dancing to every song in their Tina Turner dresses. I went with my wife and two daughters (28 and 32) and we all loved the show. See him if you can you will be entertained and become a big fan!
