About

Little Big Town in Concert

GRAMMY, ACM, CMA, and AMA Award-winning group, Little Big Town -- consisting of members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook -- first entered the music scene over 20 years ago with hit songs "Boondocks," "Bring It On Home," "Good As Gone" and the GRAMMY-nominated "Little White Church." Their breakthrough albums Tornado and Pain Killer produced multiple #1 singles, including "Pontoon," "Tornado," and "Day Drinking," as well as the history-making, best-selling country single of the year (2015) "Girl Crush." 2017's, The Breaker, debuted #1 on the Billboard Country Charts and Top 10 (No.4) on the Billboard 200 to critical acclaim, marking the group's fourth Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200 chart. The album features their GRAMMY-winning, multi-week #1 single, "Better Man," as well as the 2019 GRAMMY-nominated, "When Someone Stops Loving You." The band recently released new music from their upcoming ninth studio album, Nightfall, the critically-praised song "The Daughters" and country single "Over Drinking." The album is set for release January 17, 2020.

Little Big Town has earned more than 40 award show nominations and in the past five years has taken home nearly 20 awards, including multiple GRAMMY, AMA, People's Choice, CMA, ACM awards, and an Emmy award. The Country Music Hall of Fame inductees (2014) went onto receive their star on the Nashville Walk of Fame in 2017. In July of 2018, The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville launched their lead, yearlong exhibit called LITTLE BIG TOWN: THE POWER OF FOUR showcasing the bands powerful and storied 20-year history within the country music community. The band recently launched 4 Cellars wine, their first non-musical project as a band, with Browne Family Vineyards. The collaboration features exclusive wine blended by the foursome and recently released canned wine spritzers called "Day Drinking."

    Jamey Johnson should have headlined

    by CShell3023 on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

LBT was ok, Jamey Johnson was AWESOME. Lightening dude was horrible, so was the camera guys-never showed the right vocalist or soloist, dud on sound was not up to par either, but the ecoustics didn't help his job. Cheap ticket, nice time.

    JAMEY JOHNSON WAS GREAT

by DUGGAN on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

LITTLE BIG TOWN WAS OK, BUT FELL UNDER THE TYPICAL NEW COUNTRY STYLE. THEIR HARMONY WAS GOOD, BUT THE MUSIC IS VERY COMMON, WITH MOST OF THE SONGS SOUNDING ALIKE, AND THE SINGING SO LOUD, THAT YOU COULDN'T MAKE OUT WHAT THEY WERE SAYING. THE 4 STAR RATING COMES FROM JAMEY JOHNSON, WHO IS ONE OF THE FIRST SINGERS, IN A LONG TIME, TO DO COUNTRY MUSIC THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE. HIS BAND IS EXCELLENT, WITH A STEEL PLAYER THAT IS AMAZING. THE SONGS ARE GREAT, AND JAMEY'S SINGING AND GUITAR PLAYING ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. THE ONLY REASON WHY I DIDN'T GIVE HIM A 5 STAR RATING, IS THAT THE BASE WAS WAY TOO LOUD, AND KIND OF DROWNED OUT THE REST OF THE MUSIC. THAT MAY JUST BE A PRODUCT OF THE CELESTE CENTER ACCOUSTICS, BUT THAT IS THE ONLY THING I COULD FAULT HIS PERFORMANCE WITH. AS I HAVE HEARD SOME PEOPLE SAY, HE COULD BE THE GUY "TO FILL THEIR SHOES" AS GEORGE JONES ASKS IN HIS SONG ABOUT COUNTRY LEGENDS.

    Little Big Town Rocks!

by minimolly on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

Little Big Town was fantastic . . . everything I expected! Unfortunately, I was disappointed that I could not stay until the end of the concert due to listening to Jamey Johnson for an hour. I don't mind an opening act for three or four songs, but Jamey sang at least twelve songs . . . way too long! Then, there was a half hour intermission. We did not come to see Jamey Johnson; we came to see Little Big Town. Finally, I thought the State Fair Arena seating and sound system was weak. I plan to go see Little Big Town when there are playing in a much better location. Next time, I'll skip most of the opening act too.

Little Big Town - you were great! Jamey Johnson - not great. Almost walked out without seeing the headliner. Please, don't ever make me sit thru his show again. :-(

    Little Big Town was AWESOME!

    by Squeaky10 on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

Only caught the last half of Jamey Johnson's performance. Would have preferred a better opening act. He didn't seem very personable or interact with the audience much. That was okay because I truly went to see LIttle Big Town. They did not disappoint. Nice selection of songs from their three albums. Harmonies were as strong as ever. Will continue to follow them.

Little Big Town was a vocal masterpiece

by AmyRae on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

I should have skipped Jamey Johnson - he blew his chance to win us over. Little Big Town, however, sounded fabulous. When the group members each sang alone, you could tell each has a great voice. When they sang in unison - the unison sound was brilliant. When they sang in 4-part harmony, it was incredible.

Jamey Johnson was amazing last night!!!!!!

by MAMW on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

I saw Jamey Johnson last night and it was the best concert ever!!!! He never actually stopped playing his guitar, there was always an interlude between songs and his guitar was always going. He should have been the main event because I loved every song he played but I don't remember one Little Big Town song. Jamey blew me and Little Big Town away!!!!!!!!!

Celeste Center Jamey Johnson/Little Big Town

    by cole4848 on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

Seats were great..we sat in Sec. 206 and could see really well......it was cold inside so bring a light jacket.....could have got floor seats but was afraid we would have to stand whole time..............wish we would have because the crowd sat down entire time Jamey played. He sounds fantastic...........even better in person. Anyone who likes him would have loved the show. I wish he would have talked to the crowd a little. He sang non stop for an hour. Little Big Town I am not a fan of and went really only to see Jamey, but they are good.

by megwatk on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

I thought Jamey Johnson could have shown a little bit more personality but him and his band did a great job. He's a very talented man, and it showed last night. This was the second time I have seen Little Big Town and they were just as great at the first. Their harmonies and chemistry with eachother is so great to watch. I would definitely see them again and recommend others to see them as well.

good way to end the day!

by hippiemom on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

Little Big Town didn't disappoint! Whether there are 500 or 5,000 people in the audience, they give it their all. The whole group really engages their audience so sweetly. Music was well performed, a very talented group of people who love what they do and it shows! .... Jamey Johnson - ugh. depressing, absolutely no communication with the audience except to say "Columbus, Ohio". Jamey Johnson, who I had never heard of before except when another concert-goer told me that he won "song of the year" or some such award really needs to get over himself. if a person came to this concert depressed they left wondering what there truly was left to live for. LBT= 4 stars; J. Johnson = 1 star (for showing up).

Little Big Town put on a great show

    by concertrater123456 on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

LBT put on a great show. They really play to the crowd and it is obvious they enjoy doing what they do. I would highly reccommend them to a friend, and even someone who doesn't like country that much. They are a great example of the crossover genre in country music.

    Jamey Johnson

by buckeyejim on 8/3/09Celeste Center - Columbus

Jamey Johnson segment was great, could have been longer. The sound could have been better, the bass was over powered distorted the vocals. The guys who ran the video screen camera's need watch who is singing, did not do a very good job with projecting on the screen who was singing. I have to remember I was at the fair.. Overall a good show.

The show was great! LBT was wonderful. The only problem we had was how horrible Belterra security handles minor problems. I think more training would be smart.

    Little Big Town was fantastic!!!!!

by Melskin on 7/17/09Belterra Casino Resort and Spa - Belterra

LBT was terrific!!! They always are!! However, I think the audience was dead-literally!!! My sister and two other people were only ones who stood up!! Everyone was sitting down during the ENTIRE show. Even when they first came out on stage you could have heard a pin drop. I was so embarrassed!!!!! I had to hoot and holler for everyone in the audience!! That's ok- they are worth it!!

    GREAT VOCALS!!

by jadegirl on 7/17/09Belterra Casino Resort and Spa - Belterra

I was surprised at how well they harmonize. Sometimes when you go to to a live event it it doesn't sound nearly as good as an album. They sounded amazing! I would recommend seeing them in concert!
