With a career spanning more than 20 years, Lisa Stansfield is one of the most well-known soul singers of this generation. A string of hit singles and albums created mass popularity around the world, both in her native UK and Ireland and across Europe and here in the US. Known for making bold decisions, she is also an accomplished actress whose long break from recording ended in 2013 with the release of her first album in almost a decade.
Launched into the industry by a television talent show, her first solo album release in Great Britain went to No. 2 in the charts in 1989. The album, named Affection, went triple-platinum in the UK and its lead single ”All Around the World,” went to No. 1 in six countries, making Gold status in five charts and Platinum in the US. The follow-up, Real Love, was released in 1991, followed by So Natural in 1993 and her self-titled album, Lisa Stansfield, was released in 1997. This record also reached No. 2 in the Great British Album Chart, earning it Gold status, as a well as several of its singles reaching No. 1 in the United States charts. Next came Face Up in 2001 and The Moment in 2004, which charted well in the German market and made Gold status for her once more.
2014 will see the release of her latest project, Seven, which is set to relaunch her musical career alongside a string of tour dates and public appearances. Featuring the single “Can't Dance” and numerous others written by her long-term songwriting partner Ian Devaney, fans are eagerly awaiting its release. A tour of Europe in spring 2013 and further dates in October to November allowed glimpses of her new sound, featuring her timeless vocal set into contemporary soul pop tunes. Spring and summer 2014 will see her performing across Europe, in Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Bulgaria. Critics have praised her return to the stage.
Over the length of her career, Lisa Stansfield has been nominated for an incredible 59 awards, of which she has won an impressive 38. From three BRIT Awards in 1990, for Best Newcomer and for Best British Female in both 1991 and 1992, to one Billboard Music Video Award, via three DMC Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards, one Silver Clef, one Women's World Award and two Grammy nominations, her collection of prizes is staggering. Her career is set to continue scaling these great heights for many more years.

by myeldee on 10/16/18The Space at Westbury Theater - WestburyI really like the venue and I ordered the meet and greet package Lisa was very polite and made me laugh and asked if I would dance and I said a little and they she spotted me in the audience and said dance. Everyone in the theatre was dancing and singing.

I've never seen her in concert, and have been a fan since the beginning of her career. She was great, the band was awesome. Definitely recommend seeing her and would go again! Had a great time with my girls!

She loves her audience, wants you to enjoy every minute of the show..and we did! Wow, actually someone who sings great with a great band and nothing else required. Rare these days.

Fans will not be disappointed as Lisa rocks the house and gives it her all throughout a 90-100 minute performance. She never stops moving and constantly involves her band - who honestly seem to enjoy being on stage as much as she does. Great evening. So glad she's back!

by suprememouser on 10/15/18The Wilbur - BostonThis is the best show of the year for me. Lisa Stansfield gave it her all to an incredibly appreciative audience that fed from her energy. She showed an honesty and intimacy that is unusual in shows these days; many performers phone it in or just feed their egos when they perform, not Lisa. When she sang "All woman" you FELT the pain that she was going through, and when she sang "never gonna give you up", you swooned to the groove. The band was having fun, which makes a difference. By the time that she was done, people were singing in the aisle on the way out. We all needed that night...And we were all smiling.

Her voice is as soulful and beautiful as it ever was; treating fans to many of her past hits and great songs from Deeper. She's also a wonderful entertainer with boundless energy, dancing and singing for an hour and 45 minutes without breaking a sweat. And her band....AMAZING!!! Bravo Lisa Stansfield!!!

I've been a fan of hers for decades, but this was my first time seeing her live. Not one little ounce of disappointment. She was, is, and always will be...fabulous! The Wilbur was a great place to see her. So intimate, lively, and up close. If I had it to do over I would buy tickets sooner and get myself as close as possible to this beautiful, gifted, talented, dynamic, performer. She has positively still got "It" ! Lisa come back to Boston!!!

In a nearly two hour concert she sung most of her new album and bought back her classics from the past in her strong unique voice, and she had a fabulous eight piece band to back her up. She sung new ballads that the audience could feel and had everyone dancing with her uptempo songs. She looked good and can dance, and boy can she sing ! Everyone had a great time. Lisa needs to tour more.

by Tattooedgrandpa on 10/14/18The Wilbur - BostonHadn’t seen Lisa in 26 since she last performed in this area. She was amazing. The VIP package included a meet and greet. It was a little chaotic at first and the line moved very slowly. Some improvements needed there.
