This was the first time seeing Lindsey in a while. Buffalo NY, at Buffalo State Theater several years ago to name it. This tour opened with BLKBOK. He provided a mixture of songs with expressions of meaning and background. After a very quick set change, Lindsey took the stage. I sat directly in front and was able to really get into the show. After the opening number, she performed "I Didn't Mean It" - a new song, that kept the vibe going up tempo. Her band delivers with precision and a strong beat. Keith Slattery directs the atmosphere with strong keyboard and piano portions that blend well with Guitarist Tony of which adds the flow of strong accents during each song. Keith's background is AMAZING. His work with other Artist's is mind blowing. Great to finally see him put a solo effort out there! We all know that Lindsey "has got it" she sings with no difficulty and range. The thing about it is that she enjoys what she is doing. Speaking directly to the audience and taking notice of what is happening in the crowd. She was drawn by the enthusiasm by a fan that was giving her much love. She asked "what is your name" - Tanya was in the pocket, as most of us. Lindsey talked about the charting of "Fool me once" - what she did not say is that song is historic in it's own right. It held a significant presence on Billboard for a while. I think she is modest in that we know how big it was. The evening highlight, in my opinion, was her version of Denice Williams' FREE. OMG....it seemed impromptu - not sure if it appeared on the setlist (which I gave to two audience members afterwards). That song was what we all needed, really! I know I have to wrap this up, but finally, this tour could stand solid with NO opening act. Lindsey has a vast library of music out there. Out of respect for her, I did not take any pics, no one likes having photos taken directly in their fact, I think....Thanks for reading - stay in the groove!
