  • mehh.

by iDisapprove on 3/15/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 3 out of 5

Her music is great and she was great, but GOD I hate this venue. We were in back as you couldn't get to the front once everyone packed in there, and there's these huge ass pillars everywhere. Couldn't see a damn thing. And the crowd? They were some odd ones....Never have I ever seen so many old people, I mean OLD people, at a DUBSTEP concert. Wut?

  • a lot of fun.

by Jeffrey999 on 3/15/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Lindsey was brilliant as ever. her clothing is half the show and always astounding. the opener was a tad disappointing, but not bad. the only reason i gave four stars rather than five was because of the pregnant delay between the opener and Lindsey.

  • The Most Talented Entertainer on YouTube

by oturia on 3/15/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

She dances. She sings. She plays violin. She composes amazingly complex pieces fused with modern hip hop, rock and dubstep rhythms. You know what else Lindsey Stirling does? She rocks a live crowd like nobody's business. Even with the small stage at the venue, she gave every bit of choreography from her videos without missing a note. Lindsey and her bandmates are soulful performers, they know how to work the crowd, and took only a few short breaks between sets. Bigger name, A-List bands could learn a lot from Lindsey about how to give fans one of the best shows of their lives.

  • Fantastic concert in spite of the venue choice.

by mrcoffee1026 on 3/15/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Lindsey Stirling and crew rocked the least appropriate venue in the Old National Center. The concert itself was fantastic, but the center housed a theater and the Egyptian Room, either of which would have been more appropriate for the event. The last "standing room only" concert I attended had a much wider stage area, the narrowness of this room made everything feel a bit more crowded and the stage quite difficult to see. A support post to my left distorted the sound of most high range notes, creating an uncomfortable acoustic effect when they were played... note sounded in-key in my right ear, but something similar to nails on a chalkboard in my left. After the concert was over, most of the audience retreated from the room from where we'd come in... only to find that the top of the staircase had been gated off when we got there. It would have been nice if they'd posted security or something to deter us from wandering around the dead end. Besides the venue-related inconveniences, the concert itself was quite awesome. Based on Vibrant Sound's assessment, I'd imagine that being on stage was a far better experience than being in the audience, but I'd certainly put up with the room again if she came back here. Not my favorite moment - but very cool: to fill the time of a costume change they played a short video clip on the LED display between songs... a couple next to me suggested it might be a live video feed, which I was certain it couldn't be, although she seemed to reference a local street mid-video... giving us the impression that it could have been. It was probably filmed earlier in the day... it was quite funny to watch for anyone who knew anything about her: during the clip she put on an the act of being a sort of prima donna: very self-centered, selfish, and rude toward the rest of her crew - which couldn't be further from the truth. If the joke was lost on anyone unfamiliar with her, there was no sign of it.

  • Fantastic

by pdang on 3/15/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I was so thrilled to see such a eclectic audience! Children who were clearly aspiring violinist accompanied by their parents, the college crowd who appreciates music, the dubstep crowd, the hipsters, everyone. The performance aspect of it was great, and Lindsey did a good job maintaining control of the audience. I'd definitely go again!

  • Great show, wrong venue

by SapphireEyes on 3/15/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 3 out of 5

Overall, I enjoyed the show, but there were pros and cons. Cons: - The opening act really detracted from the evening. The music wasn't really tied to a specific genre, and it didn't fit in with the music that Lindsey played. - The crowd was pretty rude at points in the show (talking loudly over Lindsey while she was introducing a song or saying things like "Shut up and play!"). - My back and legs ended up being pretty sore for 2 days because there was nowhere to sit (the only seats in the room were $75), and we had to stand shoulder-to-shoulder for 2.5 hours on a concrete floor. - Because it was standing room only, it was really hard to see what was happening on the stage, which was especially sad because she interacted with the videos behind her and danced a lot, and I missed most of that. - It was really loud. My ears were still ringing 2 hours later. Pros: - Lindsey put on a fantastic show. She was energetic and seemed to be the "same old Lindsey" that everyone loves--she didn't let the fact that it was a live show and not a YouTube video affect her performance. - She handled the crowd really well and reacted to rude comments in ways that kept her in control of her own show. - The show was creative: interaction with the videos behind her, audience participation, funny "distraction" video while she changed outfits. I'd go see her again, but I would only go if she played somewhere with seating and a more visible stage so I didn't miss anything!

  • Lindsey was certainly a sterling performance!

by asheraven on 3/15/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to a lot of shows but Lindsey Stirling showed me another level of performance. Not only is she multi-talented being able to play complicated and gorgeous music on the violin while dancing but she provides marvelous vocals as well. I recommend her show to you while she is just only as popular as she is now. Believe me, in another year or two this girl is going to set the entertainment world aflame. Buy tickets while they are cheap and you get a venue where it's more up close and personal. She's awesome and you need some Lindsey in your life!

  • African exploitation

by michaeldindy on 3/15/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 1 out of 5

Stirling's act is innovative and her music is good, but I left as soon as she put on her video that outright exploits Kenyans for her profit and as an advertisement for another company she worked with. I'm sure her video was made in ignorance and with good intentions, but just how much money have those Kenyan children made for her? Very bad taste. Also, the venue refused to open a coat check although it was in the 20's out that night, and people had to wear or hold their coats in a packed/sold-out standing room only basement. Way too hot. As others have mentioned here, the opening act "The Vibrant Sound" is at best a cover band rapping some original lyrics over others' songs played back on a recording. Very tacky.

  • by Anonymous on 3/15/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Very great performance. Also the opening band that he decided to go on your with was great.

  • Enjoyed it

    by CWW812 on 3/13/13The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was new to us, having not been to a dance type club in many years. Lindsey was just as good as expected & a nice upbeat change from our more usual events, such as Pops at the Philharmonic or our last Ticketmaster purchase for a Boney James concert.

  • Disrespectful artist towards audience

by KeineNick on 3/12/13The Pageant - St LouisRating: 3 out of 5

Overall the music was great, that is why I went. However, when an artist starts playing after an hour wait and is only able to play for about an hour, I really get disappointed. The show was funny, but I expected much more from her - especially after she said that her success is all thanks to her fans. This, for me, is hypocritical and disrespectful towards the audience.

  • Awesome Show!!

    by AverageJoe7887 on 3/12/13The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Lindsey Stirling put on an amazing show! My mind was blown with the way she puts on a show. You must see her in concert. Will definitely go again when she is back I town.

  • Lindsay was awsome...

by Pena411 on 3/11/13House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

i did not think she was that popular in Houston Tx. nephew and i had good time. i would love to go again

  • by Anonymous on 3/11/13Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Lindsey Stirling in an amazing performer. She put on an awesome show. The opening act was awesome as well. The only drawback was standing in the freezing cold with high winds for 45 mins before we were allowed in the building. The tickets were for 7 pm, but we didn't even get inside until almost 7:30. Would have been nice to wait inside out of the cold.

  • Loud

by Paranord on 3/10/13Vic Theater - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

It's just amazing to see a violin player taking her instrument to a whole new sort of place. Who would have thought that a violinist could get a crowd of 20-somethings so fired up? Crazy, huh? The carbon-fiber violin she played didn't really produce a great sound. The strings went flat by a half hour into the concert. She tuned it again before the came back out for the encore and that was great. But the strings were badly out of tune for her Phantom of the Opera piece. That was a shame since it is one of her more technical works. At the end of the piece none of the harmonics would ring true even with her best efforts. Too bad. She has put together quite a production. It's a full and exciting show.

  • Lindsey is so freaking AWESOME!!!

by Anonymous on 3/10/13The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This show was so unbelievably incredible. I wish that I had gotten the VIP tickets to make it even better.

  • Lindsey brought the house down!!

by SilverAce on 3/10/13The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Lindsey was in full swing wit this concert! Totally brought the passion and fire in her playing and rocked the house!! She truly is the best unconventional violinist ever, and I say Suck it, America's Got Talent, you missed out on the best. Also Moon Trance, along with the rest of her songs, are all so much better when heard live.

  • Lindsey Stirling an energetic and graceful artist

by BengalhomeMomCat on 3/9/13The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

I love the variety of sounds a violin can produce and Lindsey uses all of them to bring excitement and emotion to all her music from ballads to pop mixes to rockin' originals. I saw all generations at the concert. And her dancing while playing is astounding, fluid and bouncy reflecting the songs. This is the second time I have seen her and she does not disappoint!

  • Lindsey Rocked It

by Natababy on 3/8/13The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

My Husband and I drove 4 hours to see Lindsey Stirling in concert in St. Louis. I was worried that it wasn't going to be worth the extra expense in travel and hotel to see, but we were blown away by the performance. Lindsey is a motivational performer and has a wholesome feel about her. There were kids at the show as well as adults and I thought that was a compliment to Lindsey. She can entertain all age groups. The only thing I would have changed about the concert, was the start time. The show didn't start until 9:00pm. 7:00pm would have been more preferable with the show ending by 9:30-10:00 since it was on a Tuesday night.

  • Incredible Performance!

by Linneon on 3/8/13The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Lindsey Stirling put on an amazing performance!! I would go again when/if she comes back to the area!
