The sound system was poor for a live comedy show. Sound had a fuzziness and buzzing along with a low volume level at beginning. Noise was corrected about 20 minutes into show, but a very low volume level most of the time. Disappointed with Lily's choice of comedy sketches. Laughed more with her film clips than the live act.
She may not be a spring chicken these days but she's still as funny and agile as ever! We loved watching her bring her characters to life again while sharing her own personal stories. Great show!
she just didnt seem to connect with the audience. and once she wasnt connecting, i think it went downhill from there.
Lily Tomlin's show combined classic bits from her many characters with contemporary humor about current topics.
i did not enjoy the show at all. Very disappointing. We all remember Lily from her routine on Laugh In, and anxiously awaiting her to perform her old acts......which aside from a 2 minutes skit , she did none of it. At age 75, I could not understand how she is trying to make a name for herself with stand up. Her acts are what we all went to see her for!
it was fantastic! she is simply an amazing woman. i would recommend seeing her fullheartedly.
Lily Tomlin was fantastic. She is alwaysquick with her humor and chaaracters. I can actually see the character in her delivery o the segment. Could watch her every week.
I think Lily was great. However, I also think the audience in Pa., where I am from, was not sophisticated enough to understand the intelligence behind the humor. I found myself laughing at parts that I understood and thought was funny when others where sort of looking around with a lost look on their faces. Being well versed in theatre and recognizing the level of performer Lilly is, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Even though time stands still for no one, she is still very witty and funny. If you liked her before you'll love her now. She is so genuine and truly talented. This performance you get to see a glimpse of her younger years as well as new and old characters. Great Job!
I've seen Tomlin on TV and the Movies. I've like her stuff but I don't know her early work as I'm in my 40's. I had people 10 and 15 years my senior that want to see her. They too weren't impressed. She started out funny but that is where it ended. I give her credit for getting up on stage and performing. I know I couldn't do it. I would prefer to remember her in her past work than the performance I saw. Quite a few people left during the performance....Not a good thing....
Not just a monolog. Entertaining with skits and energy.
What an entertaining evening. Not only funny but also intelligent. Her characters are timeless. We enjoyed every minute and would go again!

The indefatigable Lily Tomlin over delivered in her nearly 2 hour set. A fresh approach to a sort of career retrospective celebrating her most beloved characters kept us in stitches. Additionally, she took a few moments to ad lib with the audience in real time throughout the show. Her energy was matched only by her obvious love for a live audience.
Ms. Tomlin was always one of my idols but her performance was less than stellar. Her act was merely a rehash of older material, although still well delivered. The material seemed slightly dated and, at times, she grew impatient and downright surly to some audience members, admonishing them for photographs and leaving during the show. Not the Lily i remember, but we do all get older. Still a worthwhile but average evening.
We saw Lily Tomlin @ the Sands Resort Event Center. My memories were predominately from Laugh-In in the big chair and the switchboard operator. To be candid I didn't realize the breadth and depth of her characters. Thoroughly enjoyed the show overall. There were, to be sure, some "slow" spots, but these were offset totally by some great jokes and the old stand-bys. Good value for the money spent.
It was an horrible event. She is no longer funny. I was expecting to be entertained but instead couldn't wait for it to end. It was painful to sit thought this show.
Laugh filled evening. There was a good combination of new material and old favorites - mixed in with her life story. A must see for any Tomlin fan. Live material was also enhanced by the TV clips of some of her best skits.
I was expecting all of her characters, but I was not expecting that there wouldn't be any traditional stand-up. Interaction with the audience was limited. While there were some laughs, I am glad that I didn't spend any more on the tickets. The cost, with fees, was only $33.
