About

Lil Skies in Concert

Taking cues from Wiz Khalifa's bad-boy eccentricity and Lil Wayne's eclectic edge, Lil Skies' showmanship is poised somewhere between rigor, grit, and a dash of flamboyance. Often seen sporting a charming yet mischievous grin and brightly colored braids to boot, Lil Skies' enthusiasm and high energy both exhilarate and beguile audiences as he fiercely cues his brilliant trap beats.

The Gen Z MC has already performed alongside eminent trap rappers such as Fetty Wap and Rich the Kid, and he's now set to tour the United States starting December 5, kicking off at Chicago's House of Blues.

Moreover, the "Red Roses" rapper currently shares a roster with heavyweight wordsmiths like Cardi B, Post Malone, and Young Thug for the Rolling Loud Los Angeles festival taking place on December 14 at Banc of California Stadium. Lil Skies' American tour dates continue well into 2019.

Lil Skies Background

Lil Skies (born Kimetrius Foose) is one of the most hyped rappers to burst onto the burgeoning emo rap scene. Born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, in 1998, Foose began stitching up mixtapes as a tender third grader.

While his creative fuel comes from playful debauchery, familial atrocities have also powered his commitment to his craft. The face of his father (a former musician who went by Dark Skies) "got burnt off" after contact with a workplace explosive. At age 17, after Lil Skies self-released his debut hip-hop mixtape ‘Good Grades, Bad Habits 2' online, he soon began bedecking his face with tattoos, which he says keeps him artistically motivated.

His breakthrough came in 2017 via his debut single, the glowing trap jam "Red Roses," which landed him a spot on Billboard's Hot 100, followed by another chart-topper, the languid, nihilistic "Nowadays." The two Gold-certified hits grabbed the attention of Atlantic Records, which signed the young rapper. He then released his third full-length, 2018's ‘Life of a Dark Rose,' which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200.

    Out-worldly

by Tai on 11/5/23The Underground - Charlotte

This was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to in my life. The lights, the artist, and the concessions were all amazing. The music was booming! I was so close to the stage that Lil Skies and I held hands! I would 100% do it all over again given the opportunity.

    Really solid concert and venue!

by Marc on 11/2/23Irving Plaza Powered By Verizon 5G - New York

Saw Lil Skies and his crew here for Halloween. Before I comment on the performer I’d like to give praise to the venue. The staff were friendly, orderly and patrons were provided free iced water on the ground floor, would recommend seeing a show here! Lil Skies had a nice array of performers and a fantastic DJ. Even if you weren’t a Lil Skies fan it was a great time!

    Studio Rapper

by Leroy Jenkins on 1/15/23The Observatory - Santa Ana

I'll tell it how it is, how it really was. That show was wack, these guys dont deserve the title "performer." Putting your music on and blurting out a few Bars over the song already playing, is NOT a performance, that be karaoke. I paid to see a performance of an artist, but if this is whats to be expected. Then imma warn every Fan out there to be prepared for a "Studio Rapper Show." Its not worth your money

Waiting 6 hours for Lil skies to play for 45 minutes

by Frugm on 8/9/22South Side Stage - Harrisburg

Waiting for 6 hours until finally Lil skies makes an appearance he played like 5 songs then that was it. He claimed he'd been there all this time but the crowd wasn't hyped enough so he didn't come out. The previous acts literally just stalled for time until he came out. Was disappointed. 30 dollars was to much.
