Greatest festival ever. The vibes were right and the love for r&b was everywhere.
The artists were all amazing! Festival was well organized. Only suggestion is maybe more seats around the smaller stage since it was so hot. Well done H.E.R.
The short film area with free movie snacks, mats and pillows...was a scene from INSECURE (HBO). People just don’t have an opportunity to experience that and I am one now. 2 stages with performances to enjoy..Gold Star. Maybe more food trucks because the lines were long but to be expected. The art walk was the icing on the cake that night. Fun..beautiful skyline..good times. This is going to be hard to improve. HER set the bar really HIGH.❤️👏🏼
I really enjoyed the festival overall! The venue was great and wide, there were a lot of things to do and the music was great. I really enjoyed the film festival set up and the free snacks. My only issue was the line for the merch was so long and they ran out by 4, so I wasn't able to get any.
You couldn’t help but FEEL at this concert. They sang well live and that’s refreshing to see and hear!
I absolutely loved Lights On Fest. All the artists were great. The only thing was that it was so hot. Maybe there could be another area for the Illumination Stage with some shade. Also, the artists on the Illumination could have had a little longer set times. Other than that, it was so good!
I am extremely proud of my Vallejo girl H.E.R! Everything was well thought and executed beautifully!! I’m still beaming over this experience. Thank you H.E.R! We can’t wait till next year! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
It was very fun and the food was good, the only problem was the heat but it was worth standing in the heat. The performers were amazing and it was a good day
I had an AMAZING time. I thought the venue was a great choice and all the performers did great. I love HER and I think she put on a fantastic festival. I will definitely be there next year :)
Performers were top notch and really care about keeping R&B alive. Since it was the first execution of Lights On, the logistics could be improved. I wanted to get a good spot on the lawn, so I missed the smaller stage. Regardless of saving seats, the two stages were difficult to walk back and forth between, but I think it was a purposeful strategy to spread out the crowd. Ideally, every artist would have been on one stage. The sun made the smaller stage almost unbearable combined with the black asphalt, no shade, and standing room only (no grass to sit on), so I didn't see any of the smaller stage performers. The lawn is the BEST spot to chill and enjoy every performer's set on the mainstage pavilion!
Everything from the music, artists, food trucks, drinks and everything was good. Great experience and hope they do it every year
This festival was everything! It was put together amazingly. The line up was perfect! I love that this was a historic event! I do think that there could have been more shaded areas because it was hot but I don’t blame the event for the sun! I can’t wait for the next one!
The line up and performances were great but the area with the food trucks and other stage had little shade. It was 90 degrees out there. I think it will do well to have a dome or big tent out there next year. other than that, it was fun. also, consider getting a bigger tent for any medical assistance. people were fainting everywhere because of the heat.
I bought these tickets the same day they were released and had been patiently waiting for September 14th to roll around. It did not disappoint! Every single artist had a 5 star performance and my sister and I were in the front row. It was worth every penny, I'll definitely be going back next year! Big shoutout to H.E.R for curating such a beautiful masterpiece - R&B is not dead.
