The Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl is an annual postseason college football game in Nashville, Tennessee. On December 29, 1998, the first Music City Bowl kicked off at Vanderbilt Stadium as a new, traditional matchup between teams in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the Big East Conference. The SEC-Big East pairing lasted until the Big Ten Conference replaced the latter in 2002, only to be swapped for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in 2006. Becoming a loosely determined matchup between members of the SEC, ACC and Big Ten in 2014, the Music City Bowl later settled into a fixed faceoff between the SEC and Big Ten from 2020 to 2025. Under previous sponsors, the game has been called the TransPerfect Music City Bowl, Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl and more, but it was officially renamed the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl starting in 2025. With the exception of the canceled 2020 game, the Music City Bowl has been hosted every year at Nashvilleâs Nissan Stadium since 1999. In 2025, the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl game will be played on December 30.Â

Great venue on the river! Views were great. Could have better arrangement for restroom capacity and food items.
Parking and entrance were efficient and quick. I was extremely frustrated by the fact I purchased tickets for a seat however people in my section stood the entire time with the exception of timeouts. I am a short person and the standing blocked my view. If I had wanted to stand, I would have purchased "pit tickets" or "general admission" tickets in a standing section. When people are buying a "seat", unless the purchase indicates otherwise, spectators should be required to sit as a courtesy to others. My husband who attended with me had been diagnosed with gout three days prior to the event and had been in pain for the past week and standing was not comfortable for him either. Since we had seats, we expected we would be sitting. I would suggest maybe designating a section for guests who wish to stay seated. This was the first bowl game I have attended and it was a Christmas gift for our family and the rude spectators who stood the entire time ruined the experience for us. In addition, event security should ensure guests sit or allow those whose view is blocked to move seats. During the time spectators were seated, we had full view of the field and it was awesome, but time seated was extremely limited and our view was obstructed around 95% of the time being a complete waste of our money and caused extreme frustration for my family. Based on this experience, I will never attend another event. It would be nice for vendors to come through the stands offering snacks during the game. Most of the soap dispensers in the women's restroom would not work. Many women were complaining. In my opinion, something should be done to the field - maybe turf should be considered in order to keep the field in best condition. The announcer should also consider the amount of fans there for each team and create energy for the majority team.
Good football game and associated entertainment. Stadium is a great place to attend events like this.
You invited the University of Tennessee, the largest, most prominent, flagship public university of the State of Tennessee to the Tennessee State Capital in Nashville to participate in the 2021 Transperfect Music City Bowl. The officials you provided nullified a University of Tennessee touchdown and purposefully manipulated the outcome of the game to the dismay of an onslaught of national and social media, and to the embarrassment of the Atlantic Coast Conference, Transperfect, the City of Nashville, the Public Address Announcer, Mike Keith and everyone else associated with the Music City Bowl. These officials undermined the integrity of the game, fair play and the $12,000,00+ spent on the event by 55,000 of your guests supporting the University of Tennessee. I will do everything in my power to insure that the my global company does no business with Transperfect, and that the University of Tennessee, with its large, wealthy and powerful fanbase within a 3 hour drive from Nashville never attends the Transperfect Music City Bowl again.
Staffing at concession stands could be much improved, and rules of "free refills for souvenir cups" should be understood. We arrived as soon as the gates opened and the soda fountains were completely out of syrup for the sodas. Then the next concession stand didnt want to refill our drinks. Also, make sure your referees don't have any issues like prior "suspensions" that might cause issues in a game!
Been to 4 of them. All four had hired the worst officials possible. The games there are not enjoyable even when your team prevails. I wonât go again. This one was over $3000 and just is a bad waste of time and money.
As always event staff and concessionaires were first class. The stadium announcer should go work for Purdue as he was overtly one sided in announcing. The referee crew was terrible, no need to go into details refer to national media and other online personalities.
I blew the game, it was terrible. I might get suspended for the entire football season next year, I dont know what I'm going to do. I've already messed and got suspended for it previously... I'll never be able to get over this.
Great stadium, fun city, and a game that will never be forgotten.
This was my second bowl game for the Tennessee Vols. My first was when the Vols played Virgina Tech in 1994. I have been to a lot of regular season Vol's games but this was one of the most exciting ever. This game was even more great due to a few other factors. I brought my father and brother and this was their first bowl game. I also brought my best friend Tammy. She had lost her husband Charlie to leukemia and they had been to countless Tennessee games but never got to go to a bowl game with the Vols. It was a bittersweet moment for the loss but I know Charlie was right there with us cheering the Vols on the whole game. Thank you Music City Bowl for an experience of a lifetime. I wished that there had been Bowl Game memorabilia (cups, shirts, etc). If there were any we didn't see it.
Tickets were sections b close to the field and section a in front was Tennessee fans that stood up all game. The lead to fan trouble in later quarter's when wife was trying to watch the football game and was talk down to and threatened with bodily harm. Security was later placed in front of us later
Not enough portable restrooms in parking areas and lines too long in stadium.
We had an awesome time! Everyone at the stadium and parking areas were so helpful and friendly! Winning the bowl game was just the icing on the cake! Thank you fir making it easy to enjoy!
We bought tix at $180 face value each. Less than a week later, the tix surrounding us were selling for $135. Why the $45 difference?
The venue was an excellent experience overall. We had a great time. The location is perfect. There is plenty of things to do to kill time before the game, just a short distance from the stadium. Well worth getting their early. Getting out after the game was as slower a process than Iâve seen in many other Stadiums/Arenas. Funneling into 2 ramps and then the bottleneck at the bridge took quite a while. Another pedestrian bridge would be a huge benefit. Outside of that, Nissan Stadium is a fantastic place to watch a football game. We are looking forward to visiting again.
The parking is awful, the stadium design is like a juco stadium. The playing surface looked like a mud pit. The end zones that had been painted, looked like a kindergartner did them. The entry process is slow and left us standing in line. If you park across the pedestrian bridge, be ready to wait in line for an hour to get back across it after the game. The food is ridiculously overpriced. This is a low tier stadium, for a low tier bowl game. Will never go back
This event was amazing!! The atmosphere of a bowl game was more than I expected. The staff were helpful when I needed help finding my entry gate. They were all very polite. I had a great time!!
The price this year for tickets was ridiculous compared to MCB tickets from four years ago. In a day and age where bowl attendance is hurting, it was sad to see TM take advantage of these two fan bases. Our seats were not representative of the price paid.
Overall great time, refs sucked and ruined the game for both teams
