Great seats and a great performance. This is the third time I have seen this performance and it was the best yet.
I knew about the group from seeing them on tv but was so impressed with how much toe work they did. The costumes and the dancing did not disappoint and was not dull like traditional stuffy ballet usually is. I left smiling ear to ear wishing there would be a meet and greet to ask questions.
I have been a fan since the seventies. This show was the best I have seen. The dancing was superb, and the humor side-splitting.
The dancers are very talented, great sense of humor. Very pleasant night
This show never disappoints, what these gentlemen do as Ballet Dancers is remarkable. I wouldn't miss this show. All my guests were equally impressed. Bravo to all. !
The dancers are incredible and their added humor was delightful
I've seen excerpts of their performances on TV, YouTube, etc., so it was great fun to see them onstage locally. During the intermissions I spoke to people seated near me and everyone was enjoying Trocs. Most of the dancers in this production joined in 2019 and you could see all the beautiful training and technique they had in the quality of their performances.
This was my third time, and my wife's 5th time. I like that they mix it up with serious good dancing, and comedy. Facials are always great. I wish though, they could change the show up some how. After three times (or two) there really isn't a need too see them again
They are very talented & very funny. Great performance as always!!
We saw the documentary on the group on pbs. The actual experience was more than I expected. Their artistry is beyond compare.
An absolutely unique, fun and amazing show. Highly recommend! The performers display exceptional ballet skills. It was a truly good time!!!
Every part was entertaining. I recommend this show for all ages
Maybe ladies could consider not piling their hair up as we couldn’t see the stage through their hairdos, and they were tall to start! Very frustrating to watch what should have been a fabulous show
The ballet itself, again was not disappointing, very humorous and well executed. What I do want to comment about is the horrible issue I had in getting my Tickets from Tickemaster. I had to go to the theatre twice and sent several emails to Ticketmaster, with no success, until my second visit to the theater and they finally got my tickets to print, because I could not get them to download to my phone after 4 days of trying. I will never use that APP again, will only go to a place and purchase.
I have sen them before and I always enjoy them, but this time they might send a little more time in the studio rehearsing
I became a "Trock" fan after seeing them on tv back home in Chicago in the 1970s. I was determined to see them in person at the first opportunity! That time came...during a frigid Chicago winter (wind chill that night was -10°F), when they performed at Niles West High School. Several skeptical couples joined my husband and me, and were laughing so hard that they were literally sliding off their seats onto the floor. I wrote a "fan letter" to a name/address listed on the program, and was thrilled to receive a great folder (still on my bookshelf) with photos and copy of newspaper reviews from around the country! I framed the photos and hung them in a prominent place in my office (Office of the President, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals) in the John Hancock Bldg., where they wre seen by countless visitors from across the country attending Board of Commissioners' meetings. Forward about a decade. Husband passed away. Remarried, moved to Virginia Beach. During a conversation with other moms at my kids' school, where "favorite ballets" was the topic of conversation, I remained quiet until one mom asked my opinion. "I don't have a favorite ballet, but do have a favorite ballet company, and explained." Little did I know, Annie Laurie Sandler and husband, were patrons of the arts. I loaned her my folder, and incredibly, the Trocks performed at the Virginia Beach Convention Center the following year! Then at the American Theatre in Hampton! Then at the brand new Sandler Center in Virginia Beach! And this past Tuesday, back at the American Theatre! My 13-year old grandson is thrilled to give up his video games and accompanies me to their performances! They're talented, beautiful, and have given those of us who had no prior knowledge of the incredible perseverance and perfectionism that goes into ballet, a whole new appreciation for it. The staff and volunteers at both the American Theatre and the Sandler Center enhance this experience! Thank you to all who made this possible!
Between the humor and the impressive footwork, I was impressed. Moreso, my wife having been a ballerina herself was truly impressed with the on pointe skills of 200lb+ athletic men.
So funny and yet beautiful in its own right...such great intertainment! #lovedit
One of the most entertaining events ever! The precision, expertise, talent, and satyrical humor is beyond words! Beautifully trained and perfectly executed principal dancer roles, strong Corp de ballet talent and the most entertaining pas de quatre you will ever see. For ballet enthusiasts, the talent is amazing. Hard to believe the cast is all male! For everyone, this is a must see!!!
I had NO IDEA what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The dancing was phenomenal - as you’d expect with any ballet - but this was so much more!!! The best money I’ve spent on entertainment in a very long time!
