About

Grammy-winning Brooklyn native Leon Thomas seamlessly bridges the worlds of music, acting, and production. Signed to Ty Dolla $ign's EZMNY Records in 2022, Thomas made a notable debut with his album Electric Dusk (2023), featuring collaborations with Victoria Monet, Benny the Butcher, and Ty Dolla $ign. Tracks like "Breaking Point" and "Crash & Burn" have garnered over 151 million global streams, cementing his place as a rising star in contemporary R&B. His groundbreaking work on SZA's "Snooze" earned him a Grammy in 2024, further highlighting his influence in shaping the genre. Thomas's sophomore album, MUTT, was named Billboard's No. 1 R&B Album of 2024 and held the No. 1 spot on Apple Music's R&B/Soul chart for multiple weeks. The album, with over 315.7 million streams globally, also debuted in the top 10 worldwide on Apple Music and earned spots on Revolt, HuffPost, UPROXX, and more Best Albums and Best Songs of 2024 lists. Its breakout title track, "MUTT," hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B Songs chart, Adult R&B Airplay chart, Urban Radio, and the UK R&B Singles Chart, while reaching No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single is now officially RIAA Certified Platinum. With standout tracks like "Far Fetched" ft. Ty Dolla $ign, "MUTT," "Vibes Don't Lie," and "Yes It Is," the album delves into the complexities of love and ambition. Featuring collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Wale, Baby Rose, and Masego, MUTT underscores Thomas's ability to push the boundaries of modern R&B. In May 2025, he released MUTT Deluxe: HEEL, a bold continuation of his sophomore album via EZMNY/Motown Records. Digging deeper into his sonic universe, HEEL delivers a fearless blend of psychedelic R&B, rock textures, and soul, with new collaborations from Kehlani, Big Sean, and Halle. Where MUTT explored duality, HEEL bares its teeth, honing in on themes of singlehood, connection, and self-exposure with tightly crafted compositions and distinct creative clarity. Thomas's TV debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert showcased his undeniable musicality, while his viral NPR Tiny Desk performance, which peaked at No. 2 on YouTube, further cemented his global cultural influence. Named Billboard's Chartbreaker and MTV PUSH's Artist of the Month in March 2025, Thomas first joined Blxst on tour in the fall of 2024 before embarking on his completely sold-out MUTT headline tour in support of the album. Beyond music, Thomas has made notable appearances on Nickelodeon's Victorious and HBO's Insecure.

  • Soul Good!

by Nellja on 11/2/25House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Leon Thomas is so effortless cool. He's a visionary artist who respects the history of R&B soul while pushing the genre into sophisticated new territory. His performance was truly an electrifying experience that left the audience breathless. Seeing him live is an absolute must!

  • Musical Genius

by Madison on 10/30/25Rating: 5 out of 5

My first time seeing Leon at One Music Fest, stage, energy and performance 1000/10. He had me choked up in tears because his musicality is insane, every instrument he plays is like an extension of his self. Switching around 3 different guitars and, the cherry on top was witnessing him having so much fun while playing the drums. His vocals sound exactly like all of his tracks. If you want to hear a live performance where an artist bears you their soul and your body coming over with chills then I would recommend seeing Leon Thomas. Even if you don’t know any of his songs you should still attened.

Im a big Leon Thomas fan. I saw him last week at Club Karma in DC. That venue is always packed and always has good acts. Leon seems like he puts 100% into his craft and it shows. 5 stars!

by Rah on 12/4/24The Foundry - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great Leon put on a hell of performance. My only complaint is he kind out about 30 mins late. The Dj was ok at best.

  • Amazing show

by Dee on 11/26/24The Cambridge Room at House Of Blues - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing and he sounded even better than the album. Things did run smoothly though I wish there was better energy from a few of the staff members. Some people felt rushed and their photos with the artist came out blurry :/

by I love music on 11/18/24Brighton Music Hall presented by Citizens - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Leon is a true artist he is so talented and I would 100% see him again. His opening Dj Tony Handsome was the best tour DJ I’ve heard in a while. And Leon’s performance was 10/10, his singing switching between the drums and guitar it was a great show.

  • Great Performer

  • The best concert I’ve ever been to

by Chase on 10/23/24Rating: 5 out of 5

Me and my friends went to the Masquerade in Atlanta. We’ve been a lot of concerts, but this was hands-down the best one we’ve ever seen the set was great. Leon was fun and engaged with the crowd as well as playing amazing music. The experience was an undisputed 10/10 and if Leon is playing in a venue near you. I urge you to go and see it for yourself.

  • Great music, good vibes, poor venue logistics

by Ty on 12/8/23The Moroccan Lounge - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

Leon was great and the vibes of the crowd were top tier. The venue however is poorly organized. Our show was supposed to start at 9:30 but didn’t get started until almost 11. Because of that, the show was cut super short and those with VIP tickets didn’t get what our tickets promised. Despite the issues with the Moroccan Lounge, Leon was fantastic i just wish the show was able to go on as scheduled and that we were able to get full use of our VIP tickets.

  • Terrible

by Nessa on 12/8/23The Moroccan Lounge - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

The line took longer than his set terrible experience

  • 10/10 Experience

by Indi on 11/30/23The Masquerade - Purgatory - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Vocals and crowd interaction was amazing. Respectable wait time following the time that the doors opened. Concert ran a good amount of time as well. Leon is extremely talented in various instruments. Sung my favorite songs of his album, the Grammy-nominated song he wrote (snooze), and brought out Yung Blue.
