About

Ambré on Tour

Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Ambré is turning heads with an original R&B sound that infuses jazz and trap.

She released her first song, "Faded," on Soundcloud in 2014 and soon gained notoriety, leading to an invitation to write on H.E.R.'s debut album and the opportunity to tour with Kehlani on her You Should Be Here tour.

Her debut project Wanderlust was self-released in 2015. She followed that with the release of 2090's in 2016. In 2019, she won a Grammy for her songwriting work on two tracks ("Changes" and "U") on H.E.R.'s 2017 self-titled album, and she signed with Jay Z's Roc Nation.

She released her second studio album, 3000º, in 2022. The album is meant to be a tribute to the city of New Orleans, Juvenile's 400 Degreez and Lil Wayne's 500 Degreez. The album's single "I'm Baby," featuring Jvck James, has become the most-added at R&B Radio and Sirius' Heart and Soul.

Ambré's hit singles "fubu" and "the catch up" were featured on season five episodes of the popular HBO show "Insecure.

To promote the album's release, Ambré embarked on her first-ever headlining tour, The Wild Magnolia Tour, in 2022. Get tickets to see Ambré when she comes to a city near you.

Ambré Live in Concert

Ambré Perkins was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She spent most of her childhood in foster care. Growing up, she sang in a church choir and entered talent competitions.

In an interview with Essence, she says, "[My childhood] gave me a drive, like 'this is my life right now, and I need to do whatever I can to change that,' and change the situation for my brothers, sisters, mother...my whole family. My people are the motivation behind everything."

She lists major musical influences as Brandy, Frank Ocean, Usher, and Nina Simone, and if you listen closely, you can hear undertones of all four styles in her finely tuned music.

Disappointed: I barely heard any singing

by Tiff on 2/12/24House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Ambre is one of my favorite artist so I was very disappointed in her performance. She wasn’t singing loud enough or maybe it was the venues sound system. Then she did a few covers of songs and couldn’t remember the word. Not to mention she didn’t engage with the crowd enough she definitely needs to practice more or book very small intimate venues.

    A Whole Vibe

by @iam_porchea on 5/3/23The Echo - Los Angeles

From beginning to end each artist brought a flavor dynamic of creativity that was out of this world. Ambré is a force to be reckoned with. The sound, the soul, the connection, the experience in itself is worth the money. From her style to her grace on stage and even her connection to the crowd. We need more artist like her. My daughter and I are grateful for the exchange. Energy was top tier. Thank You Ambré / India / Conrad / Payton / Najee

I went to this concert by myself and had a great time. Ambré’s music is the type that brings you comfort and projects you into a space of peace. The venue was very intimate which made it feel even more inviting.

    Intimate and Familiar

by Terrell S. on 11/24/22The Peppermint Club - Los Angeles

I get anxious when I’m a part of crowds, and even more so when singing’s involved, but Ambré’s stage presence and demeanor, as well as her crowd control seemed to ease that anxiety and actually allowed me to enjoy myself without stress. She, as well as her band, and opening acts Brett Gray and Alex Mali (as well as the DJ’s) were equally as great and very interactive with the crowd. Definitely looking forward to seeing all again.

    She's Next

by Monet J on 11/14/22House of Blues New Orleans - New Orleans

I loved seeing Ambre in concert!! She's a real star. She had beautiful live vocals and guitar solos. Plus an amazing band and dancers. She brought out Ha Sizzle so you know we had a good time! Other artists aren't performing like this. I would definitely see her again.
