Ambré on Tour
Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Ambré is turning heads with an original R&B sound that infuses jazz and trap.
She released her first song, "Faded," on Soundcloud in 2014 and soon gained notoriety, leading to an invitation to write on H.E.R.'s debut album and the opportunity to tour with Kehlani on her You Should Be Here tour.
Her debut project Wanderlust was self-released in 2015. She followed that with the release of 2090's in 2016. In 2019, she won a Grammy for her songwriting work on two tracks ("Changes" and "U") on H.E.R.'s 2017 self-titled album, and she signed with Jay Z's Roc Nation.
She released her second studio album, 3000º, in 2022. The album is meant to be a tribute to the city of New Orleans, Juvenile's 400 Degreez and Lil Wayne's 500 Degreez. The album's single "I'm Baby," featuring Jvck James, has become the most-added at R&B Radio and Sirius' Heart and Soul.
Ambré's hit singles "fubu" and "the catch up" were featured on season five episodes of the popular HBO show "Insecure.
To promote the album's release, Ambré embarked on her first-ever headlining tour, The Wild Magnolia Tour, in 2022. Get tickets to see Ambré when she comes to a city near you.
Ambré Live in Concert
Ambré Perkins was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She spent most of her childhood in foster care. Growing up, she sang in a church choir and entered talent competitions.
In an interview with Essence, she says, "[My childhood] gave me a drive, like 'this is my life right now, and I need to do whatever I can to change that,' and change the situation for my brothers, sisters, mother...my whole family. My people are the motivation behind everything."
She lists major musical influences as Brandy, Frank Ocean, Usher, and Nina Simone, and if you listen closely, you can hear undertones of all four styles in her finely tuned music.
