    Lego Fest overcrowded!

by msshellyc on 4/11/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

The kids lego fest was great except for the fact that it was really over crowded. In order to do most of the activities we had to wait in long lines. By the time we waited in several lines there wasn't enough time to see everything.

    not a fan

by suzlee on 4/11/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

My son was so excited to go to this event and was very disappointed. From the start you could tell this event was geared towards very young children. It was overpriced and the selection t hat you could buy was no different than what you could get at toy-r-us or walmart for the same price. I paid 40 dollars to get 2 people in and 8 dollars to park which was not listed on the event website. This could have been a little bit better for the amount you charged

LEGO Fest was a great day with my boy!

by imacsmom on 4/11/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

I highly recommend Lego Kidsfest. It's well-laid out and has many opportunities to build all over the hall. We enjoyed some of the challenges and appreciated the free prize at the end. I enjoyed the energy brought by the staff.

Great way to interact with the kids

by Anonymous on 4/11/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

Our two children, 9 &11 enjoyed every minute of the event. The Lego Masters were definitely there because they love thier job. They were wonderful and kept the crowds moving and interacted beautifully with the children. We will be attending this event in the future. Definitely a hands on, no computer, event.

The staff and activities planned were outstanding and well worth it! Fun for the whole family - we'll plan on this every year. My only suggestion - please offer healthier options for food and snacks - after hours of legos the kids had a healthy appetite and if you sold watermelon or canteloupe or any kind of fruit or frozen yogurt or other healthy options like cheese sticks and whole grain bagels I think they would have been very happy - but when you sell cotton candy and ice-cream and candy bars and hot dogs of course they go for the junk. I think Legos are great for the mind so why not be a leader in promoting healthy bodies, too?

    Lots of Legos!

by Lori1234 on 4/10/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

This is great for kids of all ages who love Legos. There is even a duplo area for younger kids. I brought four kids aged 8, 6, 4 and 2, we had a great time. My only complaint is it is extremely crowded and expensive since adults have to pay for a ticket as well. Honestly it seems silly for the adult tickets to be so expensive, because the adults aren't the ones "playing" with the Legos. I'm sure they could get in there a build as well, but there are so many people that I spent the entire time just trying to keep track of my kids and not lose anyone. Some areas were like a "Where's Waldo Nightmare."

Great time, waiting on the activities was a little long. But the Lego displays and staff were great!

    Legotastic!!!

by Need2quilt on 4/10/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

We had a fantastic time at Lego Fest. We will definitely be going again. There were plenty of different activities that appealed to our daughter. She had never seen many of the products and was excited to try them.

    Awesome

by Grannyhadfuntoo on 4/10/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

This event had just enough people, it was not overcrowded. No long lines and the children loved participating. We all loved the boat build one that you put the weights on to see how strong your boat was. The kids loved getting lego kits in the games just for playing. The lego store was awesome. It was a little warm so dress for it. We will be watching for the next one. We drove 21/2 hours for this one, it was worth it. Snacks and drinks were pricey.

    Legos

by Nananananue on 4/10/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

It was very interesting to see all the large exhibits of things made from Lego's . However with the wait time at some booths, expecially the computer games, you could not get an opportunity to see everything. I also think for the price to the tickets, the kids should have been able to at least make one small thing to take home. I also wish they could have had loose lego for sale where you can pick what you want, either by weight or what can fit into a container as the do at the store in Minnesota. No use for a seat review for this exhibit since no one sat.

L'eggo my Lego Kidsfest tickets!! Can't wait!!

by Mama24turds on 4/10/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

This was a fabulous event, any parent with kids should go at least once. They had different sessions so as to keep the crowd down and the line waits minimal and it worked! It was an imagination's best friend. The kids got to see their legos in a bigger setting like they were really making something for the world. The only complaint I had was the price of the adult tickets, they were more than the kids tickets and we didn't get any of the freebies offered even when we participated in the activities. That and the retail store didn't offer any discounts for obviously die hard fans who paid the money to come. I think they should have offered some special Kidsfest only deals.

    Legofest was crowded but fun.

by antler on 4/10/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

Lego Fest was crowded early but cleared out as the time went on. It was very interactive and my kids enjoyed it. They did actually give out some free stuff, which was a welcomed surprise for any event like this. The master builders academy was not as good as we had hoped.

Fun but I wish it had more learning opportunities

by Toffeehiett on 4/9/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

My son is 7 and Legos are his life right now. He doesn't like all the Lego sets. He mainly likes the Monster Fighters so we spent a long time in that area. He also loved building a Lego Big Foot to put in the Pacific Northwest of the United States outline. That was a very clever idea. My biggest disappointment was the lack of educational areas. I think it would be great to have an area that shows how Legos are made. Maybe a make shift factory that shows how the liquid plastic is poured into the molds and so on. Inflatables would be a good idea for the littler children. Don't get me wrong ... my son had a good time!

    AWESOME!

by person12345678 on 4/9/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

We took our 2-year-old and had a BLAST at LEGO Kidsfest Louisville. Arrived later and spent 2.5h of the time slot - sufficient for two parents and a 2-year-old. Could have spent longer to check out the local booths - zoo, science museum, child ID makers - all in one place. Pile of bigger blocks for toddlers was fun. Practice ramps for CHIMA were a hoot. Build and race your own vehicle was our son's favorite! Did not stand in line for CHIMA or the family builds, but only because the 2-year-old's patience is limited and there were so many free-play areas to check out. Did not eat there, but the options looked good. Favorite picture is the whole family by the C3PO & R2D2!

Dream come true for LEGO crazy kids!

by Capricefolly on 4/9/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

My 6-year-old son is a huge LEGO fanatic and this was a perfect day for him. He managed to hit every area expect for LEGO Friends ("that's girl stuff!") and had his fill at each station. There were lots of great giveaways and the merchandise store had some reasonably priced options. The only thing we missed was the Master Builder Academy, but he certainly didn't leave disappointed.

LEGO Kidsfest was a kids dreamland!

by LVice on 4/9/13Kentucky Expo Center - Louisville

With so many booths and lots of activities to do at each one, my son was in Lego overload. He had so much fun building, and looking at the displays. It opened his eyes to possibilities of his huge accumulation of Legos and that he could be as creative as he wanted to be with them.
