This was an excellent concert in the perfect venue.
From start to finish. Awesome music. Nonstop almost 2 hours of hits. Great musicians and singers
It was so great to see people from various cultures and various ages dancing in the isles. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the day and evening were very stimulating. This concert far exceeded my expectations.
The sound guy had the vocals a bit drowned out by the musicians. But still a good concert. Always great to hear EW&F music live.
Saw EWF recently and then Legend. Good show but not worth what I paid. Had fun but not the same energy and repertoire of actual EWF.
The day before the event I found out it was not the original earth wind and fire. I was disappointed. it was OK.
I was prepared to not enjoy this show as much as I did. After reading that there would be no Phillip Bailey or Verdine White, I wondered how good this band would be. They were not good.....they were REALLY good!!! Save for a few technical issues, the vocals and musicianship were outstanding and charismatic. A very enjoyable show!!!
I was mislead to believe this was the real EWF by advertisements and pictures of the band. Once I found out, I was unable to get my money back on expensive tickets for a cover band. They did sound good, but not worth the price for a cover band. Very disappointed in the promoters and the Mahaffey theater in allowing it to not be advertised as a cover band or tribute band. A total sham and I hope the real EWF wins their lawsuit against them.
When this first was available, there was no information that this was a cover band and not members of Earth, Wind and Fire. However, should have suspected something from the cost of the tickets. Did not find out until a few days before concert this was a "Legacy"band although there was some mention that a few of the members had actually played for EWF. Have to say that none of these guys were old enough. Music was good, graphics were so-so. Sound production left a little to be desired. Have been to several EWF concerts and this was nowhere near the quality or entertainment.
The description for this concert was incredibly misleading to the point of criminal. NOT Earth Wind and Fire — it is a tribute band. Very upset.
This was not EWF! Really thought it was going to be the original members. Nope it was basically a tribute band. Boooooooooooooo!
I wasn't sure what to expect. But, they knocked my socks off. It was like a concert from 40 years ago had time travel from their Prime Fame. Truly great musicians and singers! Voices, horns, everyone -- exceptional. Didn't miss a note. Loved the event and would highly recommend.
Great, so we really enjoyed it. The guys was really into what they were doing much like the originals.
There was really no resemblance of Earth Wind and Fire! Nine guys that I think listened to EWF but being the real thing was not even close. VERY DISAPPOINTED! The advertising for this show is VERY misleading and by no means explained what was really going to happen at the venue. I have gone to see TRIBUTE bands before but the group name was not the actual name of the band that they were paying tribute to. NOT HAPPY!
The band was great, but the crew at the sound board was under performing all night. The front of house mix was muddled, and the vocals were buried in the mix and many times completely indistinguishable. Other than that, I enjoyed the show. 3 1/2 stars because of the FOH mix. 5 stars for the band.
The band was close to what Earth Wind and Fire represents, however, the price for this concert was to high, and the band only played 1 1/2.....
I forgot to add that it was NOT made clear that the "Legacy"tour did not also include, Philip, Ralph & Verdine.
I have seen Earth Wind & Fire over 30 times. I was disappointed that this was NOT the REAL group featuring Phiip Bailey, Ralph Johnson & Verdine White. I always enjoy the music, but the performance wasn't close to what I have experienced in the past. The "Legacy"crew were merely a cover band performing EWF hits. The advertisement said that it was of group of all who had played with EWF in the past.
Show was entertaining. Lots of energy. The music sounded just like we were listening to the albums. However, microphones sounded muddy. Could not make out one word of what the lead guitar player was saying. We could not make out one name as he introduced the band members. Sound man missed the mark with voices. Other than that, it was a great show.
