Lee Ritenour
by ArtnJazz on 3/27/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5Lee Ritenour was superb. A true professional at his craft and his accompanying musicians were equally fantastic they included drummer Sonny Emory, bassist Melvin Lee David and Keyboards Jesse Milliner.
Sadly the management at BB Kings was not as wonderful. My wife and I showed up at the show 1.5 hours in advance to get the best seat possible. We were seated in the middle of a crowded table, which was fine and to be expected. We removed our jackets and placed them around our chairs and went up to the bar to have a few cocktails. Forty minutes later my wife noticed one of the managers removed her jacket and was seating another couple in our seats. So I talked to the manager and he said you canât have drinks at the bar, you must be seated in your seats. So basically you move your feet you lose your seat. Then he handed me back only her jacket, he disappeared for a few minutes and I went back to the table where we were originally seated to look for my jacket and the patrons sitting there said the manager removed the jackets, even though they told him we were sitting there. Finally he shows up with my jacket, overall no harm no foul but what a hassle!
Overall Lee Ritenourâs music was able to overcome the lack of courtesy exhibited by BB Kingâs management.
