My wife and I left on the third song. I get it, they are a cover, however, If I spend my hard earned monies to go see a cover band they had better cover, and not sound like a highschool garage band. This band was terrible, and would have been ok for a free bar type happy hour gig. I will be very reserved on the next purchase I make for the House of Blues; if ever.
After seeing the real Led Zeppelin back in 1975 and being completely blown away (still at the top of my concert list), seeing Led Zeppelin 2's tribute concert here in 2018 brought back some very great memories !!! Each band member were excellent, the volumn was loud, and they did Zeppelin live, like they should be experienced !!
Venue is good, I recommend seats over standing. Bartenders will allow underage to have sodas with refills. Shows in the house of blues large theater are all ages. This band is incredible. If you like Zeppelin, you will love this show.
It is what it is. They are a cover band, they cut song short played songs out of tune but they did good . What I hated was all the ppl sitting in there seats like we where at some kids play, come on ppl your at a show get on your feet or just stay home and put there CD on. The way the crowd reacts has a lot on how the band will play
Singer was terrible, couple in front left after 3rd song and we followed out shortly later. Band was ok.
Great venue! Music was spot on was unfamiliar with only 3 of the songs.... would have loved more from presence☆
The band was great but the venue experience was not that great! People were rude, fighting, smoking. Probably will never return to House of Blues.
Nightprowler was fun to watch a great show! Authentic and excellent music. Would see them again for a full show!
Led Zeppelin 2 was fun to watch. The clothes, hair, and mannerisms of "Plant", "Page", and "Bonham" were close matches for the originals (less so for "JP Jones"). However, the vocals were quite disappointing - certainly no match for the real Plant (admittedly a very high bar, but they fell very short). Also, the sound balance was poor - the base overwhelmed the guitar and vocals (but not the drums, which were very audible, of course!). Glad I went, but my overall rating is 3 stars (average).
Normally the Genesee is a nice place to go. But the speaker on the right was so heavy on the bass that it ruined the sound. They also had this fog machine on the floor of the stage facing the audience that kept blasting the fog right at peoples faces, I suggest raising it a foot or so higher. Now for the band, I am a huge Led Zeppelin fan and this band had some pretty cool video trailers. They had the look, the songs, but the singer??? Awful !!! Halfway through the show you can see many empty seats because people left early. My husband wanted us to leave, but I was determined to stick it out (mainly because of the cost of the tickets and this was our date night). I have seen other Led Zeppelin cover bands that rock, These guys are a garage band want to be that would be okay for a bar, but NOT for the Genesee Theatre.
I took my brother as I have decided to treat him to concerts with the precious time we have left. Zeppelin2 was our second show. We were lucky enough to have third row seats. I thought the band did a great job individually and collectively as a band. Everyone did there job well. We sat guitar side and witnessed a reincarnate of Jimmy Page. Seeing it has been the better part of forty years since I seen Led Zeppelin, I say Thank You for a job very well done guys. You brought it all back home. And Thanks so much for the meet and greet pictures after the show. We will be out there supporting you again. Peace
Terrible sound - couldn't hear the lead guitar on Stairway - need a NEW sound board operator / totally clueless. Amazing miss! Iconic tune wrecked by sound person. Plus, the selections were generally obscure and hard-er end of the rick spectrum. We walked out. Very nice venue.
Great guitarist (& hot), bass & drummer. Why would they tour with a singer who can't hit the high notes. He was flat or just dropped to a lower note on many of the songs. Spoiled the show.
I do not leave many reviews and typed up a fair and accurate review of this show and than read the terms and conditions of posting a review. TM essentially limits ones ability to post an accurate and candid review by what seems to be liability for several areas within the terms. So here is my review DO NOT SEE THIS BAND
One of the best laser shows in years. Music was a blast from the past, felt like We were at the real Led Zepplen concert. Felt good watching the whole crowd getting Into it and singing along. Great venue !
Bravo to Tribute band "Led Zeppelin 2" for putting on a great show last night. I missed my opportunity to see the real Led Zeppelin back in the '70s, so this was a good time to be had 40+ years later.
I was so happy to hear that Led Zeppelin 2 was coming back to Minnesota so soon. This band never disappointments us! I LOVE this band and will see them every time they come to our area! My nephew and his girlfriend were visiting from New York attended this show with my husband and I, they feel that this band ROCKED IT! I was just to Mystic Lake venue for another concert, while they have a beautiful venue I feel that Mystic Lake did not do their best to promote this band, the venue was only half full and was not the right crowd to see this AWESOME band. I felt bad for the band members, they work so hard and the crowd let them down!! This was my 4th time seeing this band and to be honest THEY DESERVE more that what they received from that crowd. Overall my rating is Band = 10, venue = 10, crowd = 0. My fellow Minnesotans you let this band down, I just hope to see Led Zeppelin 2 back in Minnesota again, SEE YOU SOON!
Their drummer and lead guitar stole the show, both very talented and highly entertaining. There was so much bass amped into everything it was hard to tell if the bass guitar was any good. The lead singer had all the Robert Plant moves and mannerisms but the reverb on his mike made it hard to understand the words (like we didn't already know all the words - - -) but it was probably just as well since no one could match Plant. Still, a great show and left me wanting more. had to play a bunch of Led Z when I got home.
The drummer in particular was amazing lead guitarist was great too. Lead singer was probably as good as any I've seen singing Zeppelin Tunes.
